27 is the way to go! Very versatile to use day - night but carries alot!

Great and timely video! I was looking into the Hermès bolide 27 reviews and didn’t find anything really helpful a few months ago. Then I checked again and your video came up. I find it very helpful knowing the weight of the bag so thank you so much for adding that information. I found out unfortunately the hard way because since their bags are all leather sometimes it can get really heavy even with not very much inside. I had to sell my Lindy 26 in cleamance leather for one in swift. What a difference it made!

Oh yes big reason I no longer buy Clemence is because of the weight... I love swift evercolour and Novillo. Lightweight bags make such a difference!

I love my Alma BB and wanted to get an all leather version. So glad I bought a Bolide 27 instead. TFS!

Beautiful bag! I especially like it in the size 27. As for its resemblance to LV Alma, it is similar. The Alma however was originally made for Gabriel Chanel in 1925 as a custom order. It was then produced for the public in 1934. Or so the story goes...

I guess we could assume though given lack of photos back then it's likely the design was never actually seen until public release 😉 since it was only one made for Gabrielle Chanel 🤭

Love this video! The bolide is such a beautiful bag. Although the LV Alma is younger than the bolide, the alma is actually older than most think. It was a special order for Coco Chanel in 1925, then went into regular production on the 30s.

Your Bolide 27 is gorgeous! The Craie GHW is absolutely stunning! 😍😍 The Bolide has always been on my radar, but this post brings it back to the forefront for sure. It’s a great classic that I feel is often overlooked. Btw, 7RP is the ONLY insert that I’ll use for my B’s and K’s, too! Pricey, but well worth the investment. Wish they’d add more H models too. I recently purchased a well known brand felt insert for my new mini Lindy, yet hesitate using it because of the reasons you’ve stated. Enjoy your beautiful Bolide!!

It's such a great bag so understated but a true treasure to use and own, especially as a H lover. Just be super careful with the other insert cos the Lindy folds in the middle kind of like a dumpling so U could cause the felt to leave impressions on those folded areas . If U choose to use and see any indentations, outline, impression from the insert just take it out. It's not worth the damage it will inevitably cause with prolong use. And our eyes aren't designed to notice subtle continuous change so it's not until it becomes blatantly obvious when damage is done will we notice it 😨

@@Purseonfleek H US online uploaded a bunch of 27s a few days ago, they went quick :). They had the natural colors with both hardware types. I just happened to see them going up. They had a larger Lindy too,

I love the Bolide 27. Mine is in etain, epsom and ghw. It has been one of my most used hermes bag 😀 I love it so much that I thought of getting another one in a different colour😀

Mini Bolide is still great! Good for travel especially if going to Europe when things return to normal because it can crossbody and hide under a coat.

You are a wealth of knowledge and im so glad to learn more about the Bolide! And YES 💯 H is really the leading brand (sorry LV Alma 😂)

Beautiful bag and history attached to this bag. In regards of it looking like the Alma. It does look like the Alma( even though the Hermes Bolide came out first) I don’t think there is any question that the Hermes is a better made bag , better quality etc. I think people were just referring to the resemblance 😊

I got a Samorga insert for my Bolide 27 to protect the interior from scratches. It doesn't leave any dent or mark since the the leather is epsom. And it's just a fraction of 7RP price.

Yes I considered the fact that epsom and this particular style is more structured and could potentially be ok with a different insert however since samorga damaged by bags before I don't wish to give them my money lol. I'll get in touch with the company who sold me the bag straps recently to get one made just for the bolide in particular because it's epsom and then I'll assess whether it's something that could damage the bag or not.

@@jennylau6255 k28 Togo retourne... I took it out of my b30 Togo as soon as I seen the impression marks. However like U said epsom is definitely more forgiving but epsom can soften up over a longer period of time and U may not notice the gradual indentations/impression marks caused until much later when ofc irreversible

Bolide 27 is epsom and swift. Mini Bolide is chevre, swift, Barenia. Thankfully all lightweight leathers with heaviest being Barenia but in a mini Bolide you wouldn't notice 🤪

I hope so. Gosh I hope they do an organiser for every popular H bag. Because it's pretty obvious which ones are more popular than others.

Craie is beautiful but I’m not good at taking care of light colored bags. How do you clean craie epsom if you get some stains? I usually use alcohol free wet wipes on my dark colored Togo or epsom and even leather cream to wipe off some coffee/tea drops. Will wet wipes work on epsom in craie too? How about craie in swift? Thanks

It's under the tab on one of the sides on the bag(either end of zipper pull)

Hi, U shouldn't use saddle butter on finished leather it's designed for unfinished leather. And definitely should not spray anything on finished leather it's already got a protective finished coat on the leather to make it "finished". i think it definitely works for both casual and semi-dressy! but i wouldnt go bigger than Bolide 27

I like the color of your bag. Good review of the bag. Last year I wanted to purchase a Bolide but instead I got Lindy 30 just because of the outside pockets. And I also didn't like the stiff upright top handles. It looks like LV Alma and I am sorry to say this but I am not a fan of LV brand.

Lindy 30 is a very convenient bag especially good for work . Each bag has its purpose I say 😉. I am not a fan of LV like I used to be especially with their current designer...

The reason for the price decrease is likely due to changes in the AUS dollar value, I can imagine currency fluctuations would be a bit of a nightmare for international companies.

Yes exactly. But it's nice that they do that unlike chanel, I haven't heard of a price decrease since I think it was 2016 on the small flap (was under 9% decrease)but everything else went up and the small flap has already increased beyond its small decrease lol

Tricky!! Craie is more warm it's more of a very light a creamy beige tone where as Beton is more on the cool side so it's like a creamy grey. So it definitely depends if U prefer warm tones or cool tones even tho the difference is quite subtle. Personally I love craie just that little bit more cos I feel it's got the perfect amount of subtle warmth but I do love Beton also.

it depends on the year model my stamp is in the pocket, others may be on the side tabs. maybe the travel size bolide has the padlock?

I did mention the AUD price it was around 8700 in 2020 . It's not easily available the Bolide 27. More commonly available is Bolide 31

Hopefully it's ok lol it's kind of hidden anyway so not easily exposed to picking up dirt/dust . Unless U meant the zipper pull? But not worried about that epsom is pretty easy to clean

@@Purseonfleek My Siracusa pm zipper had cream fabric around the metal zip. It got dirty easily. That said, that was with a different fashion house and a different style bag. Since that time, I no longer buy cream or white zippered bag. 😊

@@MyfavoritesWithMaggie yes the fabric is what I first thought you meant as it's the only area I have a bit of concern for but I also feel the handles really shield that area and the zipper doesn't come down much on the sides so I hope that keeps it clean.
