86 is an emotional rollercoaster, one of my favorite shows

I remember watching this and also being in denial about the final scene of part 1. Back then we had to wait for almost a year before part 2 released. Why they had to be so cruel😢

There was actually exactly 86 days between end of part 1 and start of part 2.

I actually love how frustrating and emotional this episode was. What I heard was originally, this was the end of the story. I think the author wrote it for a contest or something. Then, it blew up, and she just could NOT leave it there. I would LOVE a peak at the world were this was the entirety of 86, and to hear how people spoke about it. Idk why, but something twlls me that version of 86 would have had one serious cult following, and a whooole lot of fanfics. Maybe I just like stories hurting me, because THAT 86 would have killed me.

@@2006Whippet I feel bad for Yamamoto honestly. People always confuse his pieces with Sawano's because they always work together, and he's not the famous one of the two. Sawano is unbelievably good but Yamamoto has made truly remarkable themes both in Attack on Titan and 86.

Imagine us anime only waiting the weekly release! A week of waiting is painful and the delays as well.

The first part feels like a totally tragedy, a very sad story to me. Especially watching the crew become smaller and smaller. Every episode people died. But just moments ago they were still playing and laughing... it's really hard to accept😆

The end of cour 1. The second half of season 1 was a big damn deal.

Poor girl went through all 4 stages of denial but pumped the brakes at Step 1: NOPE.

86 is too good. I don't feel like there are any other shows that are this meticulously well crafted. It is almost entirely the execution of the story that makes it so good. The premise and plot are fine. But man, the execution of it all is just something else.

A painful episode.

After those 11 episodes, I really considered this one of the best Anime I've ever seen. Sadly, at least for me, the second part didn't really hold up to it 😔 But again, maybe that's just me.

Nah I agree. Part 1 had some very deep meanings, realistic portrayals, and harsh messages. Part 2 is anime.
