What do you think of the Lectric XP 3.0? Also a quick clarification, the mirror and phone holder on the bike are aftermarket, they did not come with the bike. :)

I bought the XP 3.0 ebike after months of reading and watching videos. My only concern is, I'm 5' with a 26" inseam. It's a stretch for me. The higher bar is a personal challenge. Each sale has FREE stuff. All of those items can be purchased alone as an add on. I got the phone holder, front and rear racks, 2 mirrors, bike lock 🔐 . Just because it's free, doesn't mean you really want it. Please watch the videos. Call or email...they are prompt with answers.
Every time I try to talk about Electric XP 3.0 long range seems like other companies try to shut me out well they're all beat wait till they see my 3.0 long range bike I challenge all of them it is one of the sweetest bikes I drive motorcycles for a living this is a sweet bike
You seem to be having a great time. I'm glad you're branching out and following your interests.
I've considered electric cargo bikes so I'll definitely watch these, keep up the good work.

Thank you! :)
I'm honestly glad the display broke during the review. THe display is a vital piece of an e-bike and i doubt they'll replace it for anyone that breaks it by way of tilt. It's a folding bike, ofc it'll fall over. Could have used some protection around it imo 🙃
@HelloRoad

Yeah I didn't expect that at all!! But looking at displays on other e-bikes, they're all pretty vulnerable. Good news is that Lectric customer service is very good. And if for some reason they want to charge you for a replacement, you can find the exact same display elsewhere for $30.

while i get that the fancy display lets them show a bunch of stuff, my cheapo folding e-bike just has a tiny display that is mostly protected by the handlebar itself and i really don't feel a need for any additional information i would absolutely have opted for showing less info but in turn not having to worry about damaging the display

So now you won't break yours of coarse
Oh yes, more electric bike reviews 😁
I'm shopping a bunch of folding bikes. The XP 3 appears to have the best mix of weight/power/speed/price without being too "tanky." So I'm calling this one the benchmark from which all other bikes are measured. Bro you really beat up that bike though! haha.
Yeah more e-bike reviews! :)
Awesome seeing you reviewing an e-bike - you should try out a Specialized Turbo Como or the Haul next! They are "normal bike quiet" while still providing a lot of oomph. I'm very biased, I've put over 5000 miles on mine over the last two years so I'd love to see an objective review of one. Edit: my display broke too 😅 was covered under warranty (not cracked, electrical glitch)
I love the fat tire ebike thing as a concept, that and the speed feels like it would help a lot when you have to share a lane. Bummer about the disc and screen though!
Excellent, informative lectric 3.0 video. May 19th 3:30
I've seen some others mention that this bike fits perfectly in a 45 gallon plastic storage bin (without the lid). Seems like it's easier to pick up and put in your car that way since it won't flop around, holds some extra doo-dads, prevents some greasy smears, and protects it from getting too banged up.
@HelloRoad
3 ай бұрын
Oh nice I hadn't tried that!!
9:30 yep, that’s the only time when I’ve wanted a bit more oomph than my class 2 offers - sometimes when a bike lane disappears and I have a car behind me, I wish I had that 3 mph more to get out of the situation.
The key location is worrisome. I can already see the amount of mud and goo splashed up under the frame tube where it's located. I have a Gotrax and the key is on the handlebar which is much more convenient.
@HelloRoad
3 ай бұрын
Yeah, the key location is not ideal. I did have to wash my keys off the other day because of the mud.
I recommend getting a protective cover for the display so you don't break it falling over. Having one has saved my display a few times in crashes.
I consistently experience a range of over 30 miles on a rolling hills ride in level 3 setting.
Thanks for the review. The bike is almost identical to the GoTrax F2. The only difference is the hydraulic disk brakes on this one. May be it is the same manufacturer. I got the F2 for a thousand Canadian dollars which is a great deal considering the exchange rate. I found the key placement is a pain when you have to stop for shopping and putting it back on, making it also prone to get dirty if you do some off trails. I am trying to find some sort of cover, same for the fragile display. Those bikes are "hybrid" so that you are not stuck by a dead battery. They are fun and very useful to go around. Be careful, as they can be possibly be damage in very rainy condition and in water puddles (IPX4 rated).
I have a question... my chain is a bit loose, how can I adjust it? Thank you in advance.
11:05 you can ride it to work plug in battery have it ready for the ride home.
It's a bit on the heavy side.The brake makes a scraping sound when applied.
The strap to hold the bike together when folded was on the bike when it was shipped ( velcro )

My bike arrived with a velcro strap to tie the tires together when folded.

That’s awesome. Do you know if that’s standard now? It wasn’t before so if it comes on all bikes that may be another reason to buy this bike instead of the ride1up portola.
@marymolitor8345

@malemanc.5977 it's just velcro. A bungee would work too. I read for 2 yrs before buying. Make sure you visit a shop near you...read, learn.
hello great review ..But i did not hear you mention about total weight it can handle .. i am 6 foot 350 lbs and wondering if this bike fit for me or look into something else for my size..
@HelloRoad
3 ай бұрын
I think you'll need to look at other bikes. The weight limit on this is 255 lbs for the rider
Not sure. I think the 2.0, but I think the only difference is power. Though I ordered with a bigger battery.
I like that you broke the mirror during fold-up. Shows downfall of a folding eBike, but wouldn't prevent me from buying one. Hope they adjust\improve that in the next version\upgrade.

The algorithm hates this channel for some reason. 35 views in 58 minutes, what.

Yeah it's up and down! I think the main reason here is that this is an e-bike vid on a primarily car channel. It will pick up over time :)
Would you pick this or the Mokwheel Mesa Plus ST ?

bicycle mechanic here, i hate folding bikes😅
I noticed that you were using the smallest cog. Naturally it is harder to pedal. I only used it when I’m going downhill. Just saying

@@HelloRoad It make sense
I find folding ebikes unappealing, compared to escooters. I have an regular sized ebike for transportation and a escooter for pairing with my car.
Not a bad price, but putting display screens on a folding e bike...come on

Most folding e-bikes have displays like this. But yeah probably not a bad idea if it were a bit smaller and more protected :)

@@HelloRoadDoes the display have a quick release such that the owner could easily remove the display from its mount before folding the bike? If not, that should be added. Thanks very much for your review.

@@toronado455 No quick release. But it can be removed pretty quickly with an allen wrench.
isn't the purpose of an electric bike is that you don't need to pedal? Battery technology is just not there. And how many charges or hours of use before you need a new battery?
@HelloRoad
2 ай бұрын
Not necessarily. Some people want entirely pedal-free experiences, but others appreciate exercise but like the extra assistance on hills, when tired, etc. Range can vary greatly depending on the bike and riding style. The Super73 moped-style bike I tested could do 30 miles throttle only which was very useful.
Made in China. The pony tail-wearing dudes in the promotional videos want you to think these are good 'ol American entrepreneurs operating a nice clean company based in Arizona. Order one and presto! Made in China Decent bike but I bought two advertised bundles and received almost entirely different packages. extra seat for one, bike lock on another, different headlights, on and on. Customer service is quick to respond but not a lot of help at the end of the day.
Yeah - until the LCD control head fails and leaves you with an "E 010" error code which will need completely replaced and getting the exact replacement has proven itself impossible, so then you're stuck with a 70lb over-glorified bicycle.
