Here’s Why The Patek Philippe 6102R Costs £220,000 | Watchfinder & Co.

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

When you’re travelling from one celestial body to another within the 100 billion or so stars that make up our galaxy, which itself is one of 100 billion galaxies within the observable universe, it’s nice to have something to remember your place amongst it all. Interstellar hitchhiker Arthur Dent had his towel to remind him of home; perhaps if he’d had £220,000 to spend, he could have had this instead: the Patek Philippe 6102R.

If £1 bought us the watch for one hour, we would have to wait 9,166.66 days or over 25 years for our turn to come round - and that's assuming 100% efficiency so it would have to work like clockwork...

An excellent piece of micro engineering, worthy of the price being asked. Watches like these are exceptional pieces of mechanical art, and clearly the movement for this watch must have taken ages to research and eventually manufacture. This is one hell of a complication which explains the cost along with the manual construction. This isn’t your average mechanical timepiece, this is something very special. 🙏❤️

It doesn’t allow me the opportunity to indulge in what can be a very expensive hobby. I know most of my dream watches are just as out of reach as this, even those at a fraction of the value.
