I bought, what I guess is one of the lower end TCL 4k tv’s about 2 years ago for around $350 because it was the best I could afford at the time. It’s been great.

Same with me! 2017 or 2018s $400 65" tcl 65s405. It's been great with lots of abuse and it looks good to me

I have the LG C1 65" and wanna get this instead in 75". But need to check out how gaming is on this TV. I have a PS5

tcl 55C805 vs tcl 55c850 vs tcl 55c845 ? witch one is better ? the 850 is not available in my country.

I ended up returning my TCL QM8 because of a few issues: laggy OS causing accidental selections, noticeable frame rate lag during cartoons affecting lip-sync, odd color saturation, tinny sound, and frequent WiFi disconnects. Also faced problems maintaining connection with my Bose soundbar. Despite its excellent picture quality and brightness for movies and TV shows, and its reputed gaming performance, these pitfalls were too frustrating to validate the purchase

Google/Android made a few improvements on their crap remote: moved the 'mute' to be closer to the volume; move the volume from the centre to a standard position; made the channel buttons into a single button -like the volume; printed some comprehensible icons on several of the buttons. Last, it has a motion-sensing backlight, like Philips. Still no ‘numbers’, ‘Exit’, ‘guide’, ‘subtitle’ etc. Still crap though.

Is this TV good for gaming on ps5 with vrr? Does the game mode make everything washed out or is the picture still bright?

I was a SONY man but recently I replaced my older SONY 55" with a TCL QLED same size and couldn't be happier with the overall performance and color.

Good review l plan to buy the same TV in India

My Dad has a 43 inch 4K QLED TCL TV with Roku built in. Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos are also built in I think.

Already got my 98" QM8 and it's a beast! I agree, these TVs in any size are all mega bargains, or a steal as you say.

I need the remote to be Universal, or at least capable of controlling the volume on my receiver - can this remote learn or control other things?

The TCL QM8 is the best Mini QLED TV of 2023 so far. It has deeper blacks and richer colors than any Samsung, Sony, or LG Qled tv. It's the only TV that almost looks like an OLED picture quality. If you're stuck on brand names, you will miss out on one of the best Mini QLED Series TVs of this year.

Samsung QN95C and Sony X95L both beat the QM8 (in every aspect except price - which is important to the majority of consumers), but look at how much more expensive those are in comparison. I'd recommend QM8 over those two all day long.

The only reason why I’ll always buy TCL is their no-questions-ask warranty when anything fail except physical damage. My 825 TCL had white lines 2 months before warranty expires and they just replaced the whole computer board and screen.

How do you like it?

My only issue with TCL is that their panels have a tendency to start turning green after about a year or two.

Let me ask you this can you use 4k 120hz passthrough receiver to this qm8

The TV is still working tell for me since I uploaded this video. I think any product has a chance to "crap out" after a couple of years. I've had more issues with Sony's Google integration personally.

No it's 60 Hz /(e)arc. it's the HDMI port no.1 that is 144Hz, no.2 is 120 and no.3 is 60. Look the video at 7:18

TCL does not honor warranties even if they are dead out of the box. Had 3 bad ones and it took 37 hours of my time to get them to replace 2 of the 3 and the 3rd they never replaced.

@@TechDaily We have TCL and Hisense TV's but this 2 brands make completely different models for US market. We can see that prices in US are dirt chep. About 50% cheaper than similar EU models regardles of curency exchange, taxes or duty.

In the last probably 1-2 years, I’ve seen a ton more TCL TVs in homes, public spaces (bars, restaurants, etc.) and non-stop TCL sponsorships in sports. So I *feel* like they’re everywhere, but maybe it’s a confirmation bias since I’m already familiar with TCL. I mean they weren’t even a big player 5 years ago right?

Just picked one up from Amazon $898 minus $200 for credit card sign up, $698

Te telewizory to zwykłe g*wno. Mój się kilka razy w miesiącu zawiesza. Poza tym "płaska" matryca nie jest taka płaska - powstało niewielkie wybrzuszenie przy ramce. Reklamacja odrzucona - sprzęt wyświetla obraz, więc jest zgodny "ze specyfikacją producenta". Omijajcie szerokim łukiem te firmę!

Man, you deactivated motion smoothing in your example, and said that was the best option. How is your seight? Also enabling VRR would not have any effect at all because that is only for gaming. Have you ever used a TV. Who are you. Such nonsense review.

No it's not the best bang for the buck! The Hisense U8K is at $200 cheaper and much better picture and sound! Hands down!

Lol In what world is the U8k better than the QM8 out of the box? U8k is a nice tv but if you’re pulling them both out of the box and setting them up, which is all most of the ordinary 9-5 person wants to do, there’s no question that the QM8 is a better picture.

Here's Rtings comment: The Hisense is the more accurate TV of the two, so it looks great without needing to be calibrated. The Hisense also has much better upscaling than the TCL, so low-resolution content looks much better.@@champchamberlain
