Morimoto is, objectively, the ONLY reason to watch the American version of Iron Chef.

The reader pronounced all of those Japanese words very well. If you’re not Japanese you should be proud. Great job. I am Japanese.

I loved when he battled Bobby Flay. Bobby cut, burnt, electrocuted himself and when he actually won Morimoto says “he is not a chef!” When Bobby stood on the cutting board.

The Food network did him wrong when they put subtle when he talks. Even though I can understand him perfectly.

I loved watching Chef Morimoto on the older (original?) Iron Chef growing up & watching him cook fueled my culinary curiosity & trying Asian food at a young age & then trying everything I could as grew up. Sadly, never had the opportunity to try his cooking.

5:35 Fun Fact: If japanese say they eat vegetarian then most likely they eat fish too. For them fish isnt on the same level as normal animals.

Morimoto was so competitive that he utterly failed in Chicago market as common ingredients was highly overpriced. Ordinary Ramen NYC shop in 2016 with an utterly disgusting Peking duck. Chicago's Slurping Turtle opened in 2011. Being 5 years late is a failure in competitiveness. He is great at self promoting & making things sound *new* like a typical NYC. He didn't go to sushi school? 😳
