    In Ukraine raw milk is widely available. The bad thing is that it's sold from the farmers in non-disposable plastic bottles (so the bottles are 2-nd time used, like a bottle after cola). So, you can't be 100% sure that the bottle is clean. The price is ~80cents per litre.

    I drink 300 mls or more of cold pressed raw full cream Jersey milk daily. Pure gold, & the taste is sensational. I 'have arthritis' & it is functionally unnoticeable. My crap night vision also has improved, presumably from the bioavailable retinol. Cold pressure does kill bacteria, so I also consume Greek yoghurt & other cultured dairy products. For those who can digest it, or use lactase enzyme, Conventional milk is still a great source of balanced macros & minerals though.

    In 🇬🇧 the UK By law, it can’t be sold by a third party seller (such as a shop or supermarket) but must be sold directly by the farmer to the customer - this can take place at the farm itself where the milk is produced, at markets, or in a milk delivery service. Raw milk can only be sold from specially licensed dairies that adhere to special labelling rules and undergo regular testing to check for harmful bacteria and disease.

    I live in Washington state where we're supposed to be able to buy raw milk in the stores. But the USDA has managed to shut down both dairies we have here. By insisting that there was "questionable bacteria" found in one batch (could find no actual documentation on this) of one dairy and the second one for "mislabeling" ?. Both are now out of business. There appears to be a concentrated effort to keep raw milk out of the hands of the consumers. So even though we are allowed to buy raw milk, there now is none to buy. This alone tells me that raw milk is good for you, if it wasn't, we'd be able to buy it no problem. I'm stuck with buying 'vat' pasteurized non-homogenized milk . One good thing about it is this milk has 6% fat and it is so good and much easier to get a hold of. Does this make a big difference in the milk and is it an ok substitute? ( probably not since the USDA hasn't bothered them and it is still in the stores) (It is Alexandre Farms. It appears to come from California) Thanks

    the long term satiation effect is a huge deal when it comes to gut bacteria. 4 packs of anti biotics killed/changed my microbiome in a way that keto/low-carb stopped working after wonderful 18 months where i lost 25kg of body fat and felt amazing. all efforts to repair it - even with making kefir or yoghurt with certain bacteria failed so far. now i try a kind of cabbage soup diet with added ground beef to have enough protein as well and look how the satiety feeling works out. so far the huge amount of fiber does its job very well and hunger goes down. today when going shopping i even felt low blood sugar which means that GLP-1 got boosted, glucagon went down and gluconeogenesis went down and the body felt light. and after a huge bowl of soup (today without noodles), i was so satiated. it seem that all satiation hormones now work the right way. CCK fast because of the big volume and others like PYY and GLP-1 slower and very long. it would be amazing, if that soup diet can revitalize the right gut microbiome by feeding it the right fiber from cabbage etc. but i will keep an eye on raw milk as well. maybe it is a good starter regarding the bacteria and the cabbage soup delivers the right fiber.

I had insane liquid diarrhea, I guess it must still contain a good amount of lactose. It may have been because it wasn't A2 milk (so surely there was a majority of A1 casein in it) but this doesn't seem right because I get way less symptoms with lactose free milk which also isn't A2.

    Keep your raw milk unrefrigerated / Don't refrigerate your milk when you get it from the store, just keep it in ambient room temp, in order for it to age / culture nicely. Raw milk turns bitter in the refrigerator beyond a week or two, rather than nicely culturing. Seriously. It's awesome excellence. Just keep it in the bottle. Gas expansion occurs in the bottle, but it's good/great. Pasteurized milk is more congestive/gunky causing of congestive diseasements, which is most disease.

    Is this possible? That is a lot of milk, & Raw milk does contain insulin like growth hormone, & another growth hormone also. Practicing intermittent fasting/ autophagy might buffer/balance it out. 🤔

  • @SimonGarstin

    @SimonGarstin

    @@helenahandkart1857 It is possible because that is what happened to me. Not only does raw milk contain hormones for growth, it also has all of the corresponding nutrients to go with those hormones. Especially nutrients to grow your skeleton. I also believe that raw unrefrigerated milk is better. Apparently the hormones become inactivated with low temperatures and/or pasteurization. However, there are still peptides which have various growth responses in the body. So all milk has growth factors. My theory is that raw fresh warm milk has the most.

    I eat a ton of dairy, including raw milk, kefir, yoghurt, cream, butter, pretty much every dairy product going. I’m Northern European, blonde haired blue eyed and I’d hazard a guess I’m from the haplo genetic group that can consume dairy without any issues. I joked to my mum today that I really should live on a dairy farm! 😋

    I was lucky enough to have my grandmother's sister and one of her cousins who had cows, and got to drink raw milk a few times as a child. It didn't harm me, and it has a thick creamy texture, nothing like the mess of the grocery store. I live where it's illegal, unless you're lucky enough to know people with cows. Just like my grandmother, her relatives are long gone, and it's almost impossible to find local farm people.

    Everything depends on our biology and gut bacteria ability - both can adapt both just are unable to maybe ? All foods are good / bad. Supposedly mucus happens from complex proteins like milk / animal tissues - but like the toxic negative chemicals in plants like oxalates or phytic acid that cause kidney stones and suck minerals out of bones. Those plants offer benefit. And why coming on and off diets is what dieting is about.

    Another thing with that study about raw milk, they also count in the raw milk from giant factory farms that goes to get pasteurized; and usually those factory farms are extremely unhygienic. The milk is never meant for raw consumption from those farms but still is included, and skews the data massively.

    I noticed all these benefits from drinking powdered goat milk that had no additives, that was supposedly pasteurized, however I started getting very painful UTI's that required antibiotics. I narrowed down the cause and started pasteurizing the milk at home myself as well.. I stopped having the UTI's, and still felt I was getting at least some of these benefits: mood, satiety, feeling of wellness. Not to the same degree as before, though. The milk was delicious and easily digested. For me, I am not sure there is an alternative to pasteurization, the UTI's came on strong and fast, and very painful, very scary. D-Mannose my normal remedy for the occasional UTI did nothing to stop it. Maybe my immune system is run down - about 17 years ago I had Lyme and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever that required extended antibiotics, though I am over all that now, and thought I was doing well. I guess it's not for everybody. Thanks.
