HERE IS WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER BUY AN AUDI WITH 80K MILES

Фильм және анимация

in this vedio i explain why it is a bad idea to buy an audi with about 80 k miles because its about time for many things to break down so you should be prepared . Also its wrong to tink that the timing chain will outlast the age of the car. maintenance is always a must if you want to have a beautiful ride AUDI can offer.

As a lamen for vehicles outside of driving . I wish I'd of come across you sooner. Bought an 09 a4 2.0t with 104k for 4k. Not terrible I figure coming from an 08 corrola with 116. I've since replaced the fuel injectors, coils and sparkplug and still needing to replace the camshafts. The previous owners did nothing for it. The brakes were down to the pins and the dics had a 1/8th lip. Thank you for the videos.

I was looking at 2013 a4 with 6mt, went to a different state to look at it just because it was an mt, and at 75 kmiles timing chain tensioner was maxed out. At 13 g with no sport seats and just being very basic spec, I had to pass it up.

The paint is in great shape (Dolphin Grey ?), too bad the owner was cheap or didn’t know any better not getting timing chain replaced at 100k I’m curious if you’ve done any other work (replace coolant tank, transmission fluid, differential fluids, spark plugs) ?

That timing chain tensioner is the old style. Replace it with the new design.

I agree with you , I’m gonna re-do the timing chain and replace that tensioner, it looked new but I don’t like it , thanks for the comment

Wow great video! Sooo when in your professional opinion should I replace my timing chain ect? Is there a way to check the tensioner without taking it apart? 2010 audi is the biggest POS lemon ever! I've replaced the turbo myself already..the piston ring were done under warranty. The convenience key stopped working, there's a water pump recall (hasn't been done yet).. the list just keeps going! I'm right at 99,280 miles.. today the car wouldn't start.. I suspect it's the starter which is how I found your channel.. it started all of a sudden after messing around with the key in and out.. bottom line is Audi sucks.. I don't ever want to buy another one. Lol... it is a dream to drive.. but a dirty princess bitch to work on. Lol I guess it is what it is.. not sure how much longer the starter is going to last. Ugh

What does the car do ? Does it crank normal or you feel something wrong? At your mileage, it’s very possible that it could be the timing chain but since the pistons were done , I assume you have a new chain and tensioner. It’s possible that you need to replace the crank sensor . What city do you live in ?

@@strictlyaudis7012 the only thing that happened today was it wouldn't crank and it has a new battery 3 months old.. the wife went to start it and nothing would happen she said.. I thought it wasn't all the way in park. She hit the emergency brake and it started.. got the car home.. and it worked perfectly for me cranked over just fine every time.. I'm gonna drive it in the morning to see what's up. I think it was a fluke.. but after watching your vids and reading some threads about this timing chain tensioner.. and the fact I'm at 99,280 miles. I feel like I'm on borrowed time. She said it ran great on the way home.. so I don't get it.. I'm gonna call Audi and ask about recall work on the chain and water pump recall before it gos over 100k.. I live in Denver Colorado. I looked through the papers for the oil consumption repairs and it didn't show anything about them changing the tensioner. So now I'm a bit worried.

I think its due for major maintenance before something bad happens. The car is nice and fast.. its just an expensive car to own.. especially for someone who's not mechanically inclined.. like I said I changed the turbo myself no problem.. I had to do it because it had the loose Westgate issue. And would not pass emissions. But after I put a new stock Borg Warner in that car it is Powerful again. we have a love hate relationship 😆🤣

@@milehigh3054 the fact that you got the pistons rings done, I’m almost certain they installed a new timing chain and if they did you’re good to go , if they didn’t then it’s bs cos there’s no way they would put the same chain back , investigate this matter and make sure what you have and if you need any help just ask , I live in Washington state and I can always answer your question gladly
