Seattle's defense is CONSISTENTLY great, year after year after year. The success of the other defenses mentioned are just blips on the radar; watch them fall apart apart next year (the way Carolina's defense is doing right now.) Though the Seahawks are ranked below the Vikings and Eagles so far this season, I'd take the Seahawk defense any day just because of consistency. They've played in two Superbowls, they know how to win when the game is on the line and they know how to play under pressure. Young defenses like Philly and Minnesota are starting off strong, but it's early in the season and we haven't seen how they will perform when it's crunch time.

A great example of Seahawks defense is NFCCG against Green Bay where the defense stopped Green Bay like 3 times while inside the 5-10yd line.

Minnesota was ranked 5th I'm defense last year so them being this good isn't a surprise, that's showing consistency. Just comparing who they've played...Seattle: Dolphins, Rams, 49ers and Jets compared to Minnesota: Titans, Packers, Panthers and Giants...I'm more impressed with Minnesota right now but we'll see by the end of the year if both teams stay healthy enough.

I had no idea the Ravens had that streak going, very impressive. It's too bad the Seahawks couldn't have kept thier streak going as well-Carlos Hyde got a good portion of his yards in garbage time when it looked like the Seahawks went into a soft zone. I hope they can become the best scoring defense for a 5th straight season-it'll be tough tho with defenses like Minny, Philly and Denver in the mix.

seattle winning that division. San Fran isn't good, Cardinals are regressing, and even though Rams are 3-1, they can't put up enough points to maintain an above .500 record

I think so. Forget the Niners. The Cardinals gonna get better, but they got a tough schedule including 2 games against the Hawks. They would've had to start better than 1-3. The Rams gonna struggle at one point, because if you can't score points and your QB is barely average, you won't win a lot of close games. There rest the Seahawks, you usually only get better meanwhile the season progresses. Their defense is absolutely elite, and boy if Michael keeps running hard, Rawls get back, Wilson healthy and Spiller as an alternative, they'll keep running that football. And if the defense stacks up the line of scrimmage, Wilson's gonna throw. And this dude can throw. And his receiver core looks better than the years before, like Russell himself. Baldwin is an All-Pro caliber, Graham looks like what he used to be (a Top 3 TE), and you still got wideouts like Kearse, Lockett and Richardson who can all make big plays. So yes, the Hawks gonna win this devision, because they have the best QB in it and based on what we've seen over the last weeks.

Rams do have a good defense.... There biggest issue has been getting consistent offense... You gotta have some balance or it get's tough on your D always being out there.....

Jonathan Stewart, coming off of an injury, broke off for over 70 yards on the first play of the playoff game vs. the Seahawks last year. I believe he had over 100 yards.

Ray said running backs stand no chance against his defense, and I believe him. When I saw him tackle the Bus Jerome Bettis with ease...he is speaking facts.

The Rams do have a top 10 defense. They just don't have an offense that can consistently move the ball, and they have difficulties with hurry-up offenses like the 49ers and GB.
