Still love the fact that we shot this video on a low budget in three days in Jamaica in 1990, then I edited it in my house on VHS; then did the special effects in a per hour studio in Manhattan. The video was nominated for a Jammy that year. Wow!!! Song catapulted to No 1 on Jamaican charts. Nice to look back 26 years+ at what you can do with a well written and composed song (Rohan), final mix by Living Room Studio NY and a talented singer. Simply timeless.......

Just heard this classic and had to come here to listen again. No idea it was Chevelle Franklyn, May 21, 2023. One of my favourite love songs from the early 90s. My friend and I were talking yday and he said that's why the first 3-4 yrs of age of a child's life is so important, it really shapes you and hearing these types of music when i was prolly as young as that, really cemented my love for these truely authentic music.

When you are young the feelings of love are overwhelming. My girlfriend of many years was away for a few months to train for a job. I was in final year at University. I visited her at her training school, and I was dumped in the parking lot, with the engagement ring in my glovebox. There was another guy. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I proposed a few minutes earlier. I believe it would have only made things more difficult and embarrassing, but the result would have been the same. I was hurt very badly. I don't feel hurt anymore, but I did for too many years. WHAT I LEARNED: Now that I'm older, and can put things into perspective, I can say ACTIONS MATTER. Step 1: Look at the ACTIONS of people, and single out the ones who do ACTIONS that benefit you, that demonstrate care and consideration. Step 2: Check to see how the person ACTS towards other people, especially enemies, and ppl the person is angry with. You will get this treatment some bad day. Step 3: When you find a person who passes this test, teach yourself to love him or her.

I sang this song for my first form concert…..it’s a treasure. I wish someone would re-do it!
