Fr. The most unhatable ufc ref in history. Has made some of the best calls that couldnt even be called on a replayed tape. Have probably saved 100s of fighters from permenant injury because a fight was just over. No ref gonna be like him i wish he was around forever.

Gotta respect lawler for immediately halting his emotions and realizing why herb called it.

Respect for Robbie being able to quickly control his emotions and understanding it's a hard call to make.

People need to understand that sometimes a second of hesitation is someone's irreparably broken neck and/or brain damage due to lack of oxygen

When u choke some one out it’s not because a lack of oxygen ur chocking two blood vessels on the side of neck which stops the flow of blood to your brain and so your body enters like a sleep mode(blacking out) to help prevent brain damage

Herb and lawler are both amazing people , herb looked like he almost cried when he realized he made a mistake :( and lawler was so quick to get over it and say it’s ok.

Until they experience that feeling they will appreciate refs that look out for the well-being of the fighter. I've never been a fan of Ben Askren, but you have to admire his grappling skills.

Lawler immediately just accepting the referees call, even though he knew it was a bad call, shows how respectful he is to the sport.

Herb is the man. Everyone except Lawler thought he was out. The only ref in UFC that's receives a cheer when Buffer introduces them.

Tremendous respect for how Robby Lawler took that and how little time it took for him to realize that Herb had to do what he had to do. True professionalism and character displayed by Lawler 100000%

Lawyer is a real man, shows with how he went red for a second but knew what had happened and the way he reassured Herb that he’s a hell of a ref. Always a class act.

Robbie is one of the realest dudes in the sport. From halting his emotions and still telling her he’s a hell of a ref, unreal sportsmanship. When Robbie asked Diaz if he was good, but good in real life, told him he’d help him however he could. Dudes got a good heart

He saw the refs face 2 sec after getting angry and realized why the ref stopped the fight and acknowledged it. Mad respect

Robbie has a class act and needs to be respected. Both Herb and Robbie are legends.

I’m with Herb Dean on this one. And I’m a Lawler fan. It’s judgemental and Robbie’s arm did look a little limp. Safety is always the priority for the referee. He was just protecting the well being of Robbie. Not gonna lie, I thought robbie was going to sleep. Like seriously….. Huge respect to Robbie for immediately giving Herb his due diligence after that incident. Both of some of the most humble and respectful people on the planet.

Herb Dean was the third man in the octagon. Watching It on TV is different from actual being face to face with it. He owes no explanation to anyone. Him and Big John are the two best mma refs. No doubt about it.
