Well, when you do the math, she was 33 in 2004, during the last time her dad violated her. Why was this still going on when you had a fiance, and she was 33 years of age? I did the math a few times, which is what comes up. Why weren't the authorities involved until later?

@@veronicapryor-faciane2244 I understand, and I am so sorry you had to go through that. I'm sorry, but when I do the math, you were about 33 in 2004 when he violated you. How was that going on when you were engaged to your current husband? In most of these situations, the brainwashing is as late as the teenage years but not in the thirties. I am just trying to get an understanding. I promise I am not victim-blaming. I feel like at 33, you can fight back even if you had to pick something up and beat him with it. Just trying to get an understanding regarding the age of 33. I understand at 16 but not at 33 Or even 30.

@@veronicapryor-faciane2244 It does not seem likely that would cause one to become a incestual pedo. In fact, being SA as a child does not cause pedophilia. There is a genetic component just like all other disorders. Now child SA can lead to that child SA abusing other children out of confusion or acting out because of their experiences, but very rarely doesn’t it occur purely because the child was SAd but doesn’t have an underlying attraction to minors. I’m not in any way trying to discount any explanation that may help you. I’m a medical student and I have been contemplating going into psychiatry to study paraphilia disorders in order to try to find a treatment. I haven’t decided yet, but SA (incestual and non) has occurred in my family for generations so I am passionate about the topic. With much love xx

Chris Hanson (to catch a predator) always says the best defense a mother has against a sexual predator or child abuser, is the quality of relationship you have with your child. Does your child feel comfortable telling you when something is wrong, or do they fear being screamed at or blamed for it? Does your child view you as a strong advocate for them, or do they view you as a weak woman being controlled by someone, and you’re of no help to them? This matters! Don’t ever let your children see a man bullying you and not stand up to them or stand up for yourself. Your children will view you as a weak advocate and believe anything an abuser says.

As the man (Gen 1:26-28) KJV, a husband (Gen 2:21-25) and a father (Gen 3:16), the minister of God (Rom 13), teacher (Eph 4) and one of the survivors who was bullied in school, I am so sorry this happened to you. Every time I see and/or hear anything like this, I see my wife or my daughters. If I could have protected you from being harmed by "it", I would have, but I can not be everywhere all at once. I'm so sorry you and your family went through this.. It breaks my heart. Yes, I know what you mean about being sick with diabetes, blood pressure, etc. It is caused from trauma, I believe that with my whole heart. I went through physical and emotional abuse growing up. I have diabetes, high blood pressure, brain damage, cluster of mini strokes, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, memory loss, and white matters disease. I'm 49 years old, going to be 50 in November. I walk like an old lady! With the good Lord Jesus' help I lived as long as I did. I talked to him day and night growing up and still do! I would have killed myself if I didn't have him. Thankfully one of my aunts told me about Jesus when I was 5 and it was like a light bulb lit up! Gave me hope and to know that someone loved me that much. Wow! I didn't blame God for letting it happen at all. I know he gave us free will and when someone chose to do bad, it can affect the innocent. But God promised us that after this life, we will have eternity with him in heaven! No pain or tears! Hallelujah!! When I was going through the trama I would call out to him and he gave me visions, he talked to me and held me up when I needed him. I could always feel his love for me. I hope whoever is reading this and going through something, just remember you have a savior that loves you, call on him, he's your best friend!! You can talk to him just like you'd talk to a friend here. He will listen and he does care about you! You are God's chosen son or daughter! He made you for a reason. You need to stay strong and it will get better eventually. Keep the faith and God will get you through ❤

Such a strong woman. Glad she is brave enough to share all the abuse she suffered and family members. I understand not going to the same church he went to. Glad he finally is behind bars where he belongs. God is Omnipresent ever present. Everywhere at the same time. She is blessed with a husband who believes and supports her. I didn't have that when I told both my ex husbands about incest by an older brother. I have gotten some support from peer groups. Agencies case managers. Plus I know Jesus is my best healer. God is still good even though there are abusive people in life. If the law doesn't deal with abusers, they will face God one day.🙏🏿
