Henry Reaction
The Henry reaction is sometimes called a nitroaldol reaction, because it involves the addition of a nitronate salt to a carbonyl compound. This is a great setup for a Nef reaction, which was learned in the previous tutorial. Let's look at the mechanism and some important applications, including those involving stereoselectivity.

I have NO idea what the "Henry reaction" is. And that's GREAT! Because I'm about to learn about something I didn't know about! 🙂

I watched the video and still don’t know what it is! 😂 Might help if I knew any of the terminology he is using. I took a basic chemistry class in college but that was over 20 years ago.

Its just an aldol condensation with nitroalkane.
I was tring to find videos on the henry reaction yesterday for.... REASONS. And here you come with such relevant information... you must be an omniscient!

you were definitely NOT trying to find videos on the henry reaction yesterday. lmao people will say anything for a liked comment.

@@richielives OH YES I WAS. I like to learn how to make drugs. (For research purposes only :o) (dont yell at me DEA man) PRAISE SHULGIN I dont give a fuck if people like my comments... usually people hate them and leave me nasty replies, because i apparently really piss of conservatives whenever i talk xD Im used to being disliked lol

Henry Reaction sounds like a science themed kids superhero show.
Dave sparsely uploading means he's working on something big. Can't wait!
No clue what this is, but as someone called Henry, I am interested.
Good to see you again professor! 😂
Thank you for your effort into these vides
Good explanations
Brilliant!
Think you ever gonna touch on nitrile enolates and related reactions ?Like nitrile alkylation, aldols, michaels (I have trouble finding all of these reactions all presented in one place)
Thanks a lot , i have my chem exam in the next 10 hrs
I'm so glad I don't have to take chemistry anymore lmao
time for class
Could you do a video on the Nagai Reduction?
I want to try this now...
I apologize for my ignorance but I did have a question on this, what causes polar reversal in these reactions? I might have missed it...
Wow I remember this channel
Fingolimod, better known by its brand name Gilneya. Used for patients with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). One of several oral medications approved as a disease modifying treatment (DMT) for MS. I have RRMS, and altho have never taken Gilneya, I have been on several DMT's in my now 24 years of living with MS. I must say, I the oral forms of DMT's are SO MUCH better than injecting ones self everyday, every other day or once a week like we had to before these treatments came around.
I love your channel. Could you do an episode on Hugh Ross, the “astrophysicist” claiming the Bible is more reliable than physics?
Hvala.
I appreciate the collab Dave!

This is clickbait. It is not the reaction video I was expecting! :P
could you make some videos similar to lies about water but about different stuff it's fun to listen to it

Hello professor, I want to say that can you help me for my uni test preparation??
I believe we do know that fundamentally the wave-particle duality is not binary, as an exciton can be 'bound' to a photon, and based on how this is done you can tune the resultant quasi-particle to act in a way that is partially wave-like and partially particle-like in different ratios. This has been used to test the properties of different 2D materials especially ones with properties similar to topological insulators.
Hello
interesting. 🤔 question is, can i eat it? those sugars look weird 😁

Surely Henry (French pronunciation) should be used in your pronunciation of BOTH areas. Spanner.

What the hell is a spanner? I pronounced his name correctly. The reactions themselves just become colloquial.

This is all well and good, but I really need to see a reaction to Jesse Lee Peterson being outed! 🎊
