I know right! I'm into DND myself and a girlfriend of one of the guys from our group got him a colouring kit and a few minis, and I have a whole box of unpainted minis, so I just adore her and the oh-so-thoughtful present she got him! I absolutely get Henry and what he was talking about, but boy-oh-boy was it awful the way Graham kept questioning hahah...

I think Henry being a nerd makes him even more attractive.

Chad is an idiotic name. Very American and bastardized. Henry is Henry. He was a bit more closed off in this interview than I would have liked, but he’s genuinely handsome, and he is nice (and no, by that I don’t mean that he is perfect in the eyes of an overly sensitive or moralistic (not necessarily truly moral) person and/or an s j w).

I mean, chess is revered as the ultimate thinking person's game. What is chess but two sets of figures- often lovingly created; how many intricate chess sets are there- that are stand-ins for two armies battling each other? Table-top games with hand-painted figures of characters is basically chess, but with more variety and creativity. Some intellectual who takes the time to carve his or her own chess set- pawns, knights, bishops, kings, queens, etc- from mahogany or ivory or marble or whatever: elegant, sophisticated, refined, high-brow, respected. Some intellectual who takes the time to hand-paint a set of orcs and wizards and various characters and warriors: nerdy and un-cool, for some strange reason? Our distinctions between what is considered "high-brow" and "low-brow" past-times is really weird, sometimes.

As an adult, I got back into my childhood hobby of collecting and building Lego sets (mainly Star Wars themed). I used to think it was a "kids thing to do" but now I could care less what people think about it. It's fun to me and makes me happy.

It's part of the hobby, just like buying and using unusual equipment and gear is part of most sports, even if the gear isn't used while playing. @@mafia5509 If you're looking to attract an american audience: Maybe 5-10am Central Standard Time for mornings / 11am-1pm CST for Lunch/ 3pm-9pm CST for evenings, I arranged the windows according to my timezone but left them broad enough to encapsulate the 3 time-zones used from east to west coast. Americans are generally opportunistic media consumers. Usually Watching vids during/surrounding a meal or before/ after school/work. Also near bed time. Everybody's different but it should give you a nice window to work with. God luck w/ your uploads.

I love how Henry Cavill is basically one of the most famous actors in the world he has millions of pounds and could literally do ANYTHING! But he'd rather just sit at home and play Warhammer with his friends like any normal person this is why I love this guy!!!

Henry Cavill is what we all wished we could become when we grew up but didnt. Yes I was a massive WOW nerd and a massive Warhammer geek who loved painting minis. Had interest in acting but being italian and moving to Brazil honestly never had the budget or incentive for it but I did dedicate a lot to working out and getting in shape so yeah a lot of parallels with the great Henry. Glad to see that a "version" of me that actually succeeded exists. Also, I love Graham but I thought he was a bit of a bully to Henry here. Didn't really like he's attitude towards he's obbies.

That's the difference between you and Henry, it seems. Henry rolls with it and knows Graham is hosting a show and digging for laughs--not at the actor's expense, but rather in support of all of them. Not overly sensitive about some good-natured ribbing, unlike others who spaz out and cry bully because they can't take a joke. Henry seems really cool and pleasant.

Henry Cavill gets so much points for being an actor involved in "nerdy" projects that is an actual nerd. The fact so many interviewers struggle with this when they interview him speaks more negatively about OTHER actors/directors who arent if anything, as it's no wonder alot of those movies (based on games etc) tend to fail, as they arent familiar with the source material with any passion. I'd like to see at least one Henry interview acknowledge this, rather than "hur hur u grown man and you GaAamMmeE??? Har har"

I think the reason why so many movies based on games (usually video games) fail is because a game is way too big for a movie. A video game usually has a story line of at least 8-10 hours if its a short game up to hundreds of hours - and WAY more characters than the typical movie. Squeezing a 20 hour story and 50 characters into a 90 minute movie - that simply can't work, it's doomed to fail from the start. A TV show on the other hand....that's different and can work.

​@@zachdeft1714 Books need very much time in order to explain scenery, looks, emotions and so on, movies and Videogames just show them. In Cinema the catch phrase "show don't tell" is often used, when people start explaining to much etc. which is the polar opposite of what happens in books, which obviously can't really show anything. Just take something like diagon alley from Harry Potter, you spent about thirty to forty minutes reading about it in the books where it is a 7 minute scene in the movie. None the less, i think video game movie adaptions tend to fail because most games which really have a great story rely on the gamers interaction and more often than not at least give the illusion of choice and influence by the gamer himself. Be it dialog choices or deciding which character should join you on a mission and what not. Threw that you get people much more involved in a story which can change the core structure on how the story is written as you perceive it quite differently than a movie.

The fact that Tom is probably a multimillionaire yet he still lives with his 5 friends is so cute to me 😭

I'm not cavill-huge, but I'm quite the Beefer too and I love that he basically is an ambassador for the "nerds" like us. Doesn't matter if you're a neck beard, basement-goblin or lifter. It's okay to like what you like. And it helps a lot he makes it more popular and "mainstream". A good lad.

@@mann7298 basically large scale chess ha-ha. but you have to buy, glue together and (optionally) - paint the miniatures. I used to play it in high school. It is a lot of fun - can be super expensive if you get invested.

Can confirm: He had an almost instant answer for “Who else would you play, if not Geralt?” Love the passion there tbh.

Seeing somebody like Henry who is incredibly handsome and super talented as well as successful, explain warhammer 40k just to have the interviewer say “so you play with toys”. Just shows that being “nerdy” isn’t really looked at that well still.

I watched this when it was on. My heart burst with joy when Henry said he paints warhammer. He's just gone up in rank of my favourite people in the world 2nd to Sir David Attenborough
