Henry Cavill has demonstrated that he will fight to preserve the canon and make sure that it's handled in a manner that is respectful both towards it and the already existing fans of the IP. In an industry where those in charge are always trying to deconstruct and tear down an IP so they can reimagine it, which really means coopt and appropriate it for their own political agenda, that alone is enough to garner him a fan base.

They REALLY want him on the project in order to bring in the OG fanbase but the creators of the show don't actually like the IP, so they want to write their OWN version of the story. So they lure Cavill in with sweet promises (lies) and then, once he's on board and has been working hard for a while, they alter the deal, just like Vader. They're such selfish and arrogant people. They think that they can write better stories than the VERY popular and original ones. And they don't mind lying to get their way.

Every contract has clauses to buy out of, especially for actors and I doubt any agents would allow their clients to sign contracts they can't be bought out of. Agents are for the allegiance of their clients, not the studios they may or may not ever work for/with. It's the clients that make the agencies money, not the other way around and Henry is a good client so I'm sure they will stand with him. Plus he seems like the kind of fan to either get it made right or not be apart of its blasphemy.

I know evil deal makers. Amazon may have promised the show would be true to the official lore. Amazon did not promise not to push GW into changing the lore to suit their ends. It's a trusted third party trap clause. The players of my D&D group are extremely familiar with such things, to the point I've had to use the tool as a way to make antagonists sympathetic because there's no way the players are going to be fooled by one.

Just making the push in the wake of contracting with Caville demonstrates bad faith and an intent to subvert the explicit wording and clear intent of the contract. Just putting views on videos like this is at least something. But honestly, if Amazon is determined to make this series bomb, then it's going to bomb. However, by voting with your wallet, at least others will see the result of that approach. The ESG/DEI thing is starting to crack at the corporate level, we just need to keep the pressure on. If it can be done to Bud Light, it can definitely be done to niche franchises.

What's tripping my BS sensors off is exactly that they don't sell the 2 games in countries without PSN. Why would they do that instead of selling the multiplayer mode separately, and limiting that mode to countries that PSN is available in? The only conclusion I can reach is that PSN account linking will be mandatory for the singleplayer as well, in Ghost of Tsushima

Because "the enemy is inside the gates," and Woke ideology supercedes traditional morality and economic self-interest as a guiding principle. The entertainment industry itself is overwhelmingly left-leaning, and it has employed way too many far left activists and confused Alphabet people for the sane people to say "no" without a struggle session or pink slip. The far left activists say and do what they want in accordance with the activist narrative. If one brave sane person directly confronts them on the flawed ideology behind a bad idea, the cowardly virtue-signaling brainwashed majority will treat him like he's way out of line and potentially gang up on him to prove that they're "good people" who believe in The Current Thing. If the sane person isn't fired by left-leaning-to-far-left HR, the quiet minority of sane holdouts will quietly thank him for voicing what they feel deep down, but they won't stick their own necks out to back him up in a losing battle. The majority of entertainment industry employees will deny and even mock the idea that there's anything "Woke" about what they're doing, because the DIE ideology has implicitly become their culture's highest moral virtue without them even realizing how much they've sacrificed everything else to accommodate it.

What I find kind of ridiculous about the female custodes is that in the Warhammer Canon women can’t be space marines because geneseed only works on males, but the writers worked around that by adding all female groups like the sisters of silence (which are literally just female custodes with overpowered psychic abilities) and others yet Amazon is still insisting on “equality” even though there is already plenty of it just within different factions

@parthpandey9502 Yes, I run a company inside of a very large corporation and get formal training about all of it. He's accusing multiple people of crimes in this video without realizing it. He has no idea how executive stock sales work, how devaluing a business to buy it cheaper would work and how it's completely not applicable here, etc

@parthpandey9502 it's illegal first of all and would be easy to make a huge mess of in court and could end in Amazon being forced to pay the previous value of GW. The main problem though, is that GW is a company that only currently exists because of customer loyalty and brand recognition. Tanking the brand to devalue it before buying it would be like smashing up a car at the dealership and then trying to get a discount. The car is still smashed when you get it but now you have to pay for repairs.

If they want to keep him there no matter the cost... why don't they just respect his wishes surrounding the lore? Amazon I'm ready to be hired as a consultant.

Cavill should drop his agent/agency and team up with other likeminded talents, and they all can go independent and make their own studio. So they can create films/shows and work with great IPs, without some big major company trying to make stuff worse. I would rather watch a heartfelt, low budget 40K indie film that's lore accurate than a massive big budget show that completely disrespects the original fans.

On steam in Australia for Ghost of Tsushima it says psn account required for legends mode and online multiplayer. So I think I can play the single player without psn account, if so that makes it weird it's delisted in countries without psn access 🤔

Considering what Sony has done with regards to Helldivers 2, and possibly some of the other things they've been doing, I strongly suspect that Sony has been in violation of the Anti Trust Laws in the US and possibly been failing in their fiduciary responsibilities (which can carry legal consequences) or even been engaging in fraud. I'll have to look into this to verify my hunch. If I'm right, I imagine any stockholder would have standing for a lawsuit in the case of the latter two points, and it's not like they'd be able to stop me from buying some of their stock as long as I have the money.

All Henry has to do is constantly sabotage the show by making it lore accurate in every way possible... OR go full out and make some shit up and poison the show by making it unrecognizable to the fans, so we know he torpedoed it on purpose so that it will be made noncanon, thus saving it in the end.

Dude, the Park Place article and the pictures posted by Grummz were outdated by the 8th and 9th edition. The moment the Custodes became a playable army the Rogue Trader Lore was outdated and in the 9th Codex it was already made ambigious leaving the whole "sons of the nobility" out and replacing it with "only the custodes know the process of how they are recruited" The Rogal Dorn Tank also appeared out of nowhere while at the same time always having been in the setting since the start. You're also weeks too late to jump on that bandwagon and everyone is talking about Trench Crusade and how the creators banned all the right wing parasites from their discord.

Cavill should start his own studio at this point, even if small it'd for sure become profitable after the first product very fast because his reputation would allow that.

About Henry not being able to back off from Amazon - I was wondering if Amazon was smart enough to keep him from leaving by some kind of astronomical financial penalty.

When he was in TW, Henry Cavill said that he'd stay on the show as long as the lore was respected. The showrunner, Lauren, didn't respect the lore so Henry left. Lauren kept on not respecting the lore and the show went down the drain. After that, in a desperate attempt to save the show, it was announced the lore would be respected. Why didn't Lauren and Netflix listen to Henry Cavill, by respecting the lore, while he was still on the show and only realized seasons later that they had to respect it and should've respected it all along? That announcement was an admission of guilt on their part and an admission that they should've listened to Henry Cavill and that he knew what he was talking about. Amazon should learn from Lauren's and Netflix's mistake while they still can. Amazon need to realize that their business is meant to generate profits, not to engage in politics, nor impose it and infuse it into shows where it has no place. Amazon has shows that their woke rules fits right in and they are successful because those shows go hand in hand with that woke ideology. Warhammer isn't one of those shows. The lore has already been established and cemented for decades and it doesn't go hand in hand with any woke ideology. Amazon needs to know the difference between those types of shows and know when to implement woke ideology and when not to. Henry Cavill is a GREAT asset (the best to lead this franchise) and Amazon would have a DOA show on their hands if Henry Cavill would leave the show. He didn't sign up for woke ideology to taint/permeate and change the already established lore, and Amazon already KNEW that Henry Cavill protects and defends the lore. They KNEW who they were dealing with before the negotiations with GW started. It's inane and deceitful on Amazon's part to now want to change the lore to implement a woke ideology and rules into it knowing Henry Cavill wanted from the get-go to do a WH show that respects the lore. GW bending over to comply with Amazon's woke ideology, gaslighting/disrespecting and alienating their fan base is an incredible rookie move when it comes to business. They should've stand their ground, as well as stand by and support Henry Cavill so as to present a united front. GW bending over and placing the blame on Henry Cavill, when they're the ones who made the decision to bend over, shows immaturity, lack of integrity, lack of accountability and responsibility, lack of business and partnership skills, lack of vision and understanding of what needs to be done and how, and an incredible disrespect for their fan base who have been supporting GW for decades. GW has shown they'll backstab anyone if it means they get the show (and money) rolling. From what I can see, Henry Cavill is the only one with integrity in these business negotiations and the only one who cares about the lore and the fans. If Amazon keeps on insisting to have their woke ideology and rules being implemented in WH and Henry Cavill decides to leave the WH project, he'll not only be showing that he has integrity when it comes to respecting the promise he made to the fans that he'd be respecting and protecting the lore by not abiding to Amazon's wokeness, he'll also be showing a lot of strength of character. The film industry needs more people like this. Not everything is about money. There are other things more important than money and which are worth protecting and fighting for.
