It helps to use one plug and plug into all the ports each before trying to connect them all up as you mentioned how they are cut on the servo plugs and the duponts. Been trying to find the adapter plugs that will allow for use off the old heng long plugs to new 7.1 I can send you a picture of what I am talking about it’s a lot easier the. Cutting and soldering new plugs.

That’s cool, I have a lot of DuPonts and I’m a cheapskate! 😂 I think it’s a company called CS that make all the boards for heng long, shame they can’t standardised the lot.

I had the same problem with the case and it’s terrible that the plugs when trying to remove will slide under the metal housing and become jammed just be careful may need to use a eyeglass flat head to hold the side so you can remove the tricky ones I mentioned above.

I know, it’s great it has a case, not so great you can’t get the plugs in! And the slip ring wires are so thin you dare not pull them!

Extra channel is the l9 2nd machine gun must be a DuPont plug I just did this mod to my Abrams it works on second machine gun and lights up and flashes and the main gun will light up if you switch sound function. Lighthouseled amber 3-6v pre wired with resistor. Solder to DuPont plug and plug into L9 with corresponding +\-

Yes, I saw that, my electrics are terrible, I’d love to have a go at gun stabilisation, I’m getting the courage up to get the TK-16? Controller that has a separate stabilisation unit. Thanks for watching and commenting, too kind!

Can you pleas emake a tutorial on how to make the gun go up and down after firing on the leopard 2a6 with the 7.1 while allowing for BB firing? I have no idea how to do it, and would really appreciate it.

Hi! I think that feature needs it to be servo elevation to work, and it’s one of the push buttons. I do t think it can work with the standard Elevation unit as it’s not quick enough. Let me have a look! Have a great Sunday

You need servo elevation

Perhaps use a toothpick or similar to avoid the "fat fingers" blocking the view?

Did your 7.1 board have a three pin port in the L10 spot but instructions show a two pin? That’s how mine was frustrating I wired up for a two pin plug and the board is different. Just wondering if your is the same?

I don’t think it is, it a micro white plug, not the usual big ones, if you know what I mean 🙂

I just got a response back from seller who said they would be sending me the new heng long manual for MFU and transmitter, and that the port I have is the new standard on the 7.1 board so it appears there is two versions of the 7.1 board and I did notice in the photo he sent me that they are incorporating a BEC option for servos that will use cn14 and another port. It’s got an option to turn off and on gun stabilizer but not sure if that is going to be another future function. It does say on the manual update 2024/01 since last update was in 07 and 05. I agree the Tk-16 is cool but intimidating. Cheers Mr TAL

Yes Mr TAL, we heng long MFU 7.1 users must be just a little more patient as I zoomed in the best I could on the photo of manual I got it says under the gyroscope feature “preparing for substantiate upgrading v7.1special “ the word substantiate key meaning truth to claim to prove or verify so it looks like Heng Long will be honoring there claim to auto gyroscope feature! I’m not sure if the new BEC unit pictured has anything to do with it or not if it will be a new product, I so hope what I’m seeing is correct it be good news! Sincerely SB

​​​@@scottbrodie3071The same info about gyro was in the TK 6.1 - and never happend. The same with Engine Deck Sensor. They never add it - so I do it by myself and works great.
