Hello there! This is actually really interesting, I turned off ‘notifications to subscribers’ and suddenly this has taken off. I think they might have changed in that setting the importance of subscriber view equals send out to non subscribers. Thank you both for telling me this, really good of you!. And hopefully you might like model tanks 😬 and I loved father ted, I went to a catholic secondary school, and I swear the RE teacher was father Jack!. Have a great rest of the week both of you!

Yeah this appeared in my feed despite never looking at RC tanks in my life beyond a dream as a kid looking at Tamiya catalogues.

Im going to subscribe just to spite the powers that be... I'll be interested to see what you do. I am into 1/35 and won't be changing scale or getting RC anything. But who knows, you might inspire my 1/35 hobby. Oh, by the way, Ive heard what you are saying before, and the problem may lay in the way that the notifications automatically goes to "Personalize" when it should go to "All" for me to get notifications about anyone's videos.

Hi! that's far too kind! and i'm sure they have changed something with how it interprets the subscribers interaction and sending out to non subs, this vid is getting the largest amounts of views since before Christmas, and its got the notify button off. Same here. No idea why YT decided to suggest it, other than I watch a lot of military-related channels; not that I'm complaining.

We are a Role Playing Game channel. I do build model kits but not really on the channel. But this vid was high up in feed.

I have a history channel and promoted one video as a test. It did amazing, got 10000 views but then flat lined not a single view since.

Hi! Yes, this worries me, and you see all these channels advising you on how to get views, a this does do that, and subs, but at what cost? Can’t help feeling it’s designed to make small channels pay for views. Thanks for saying hi! And good luck with the channel, may the gods of KZread be with you always!

As another small channel i can say that KZread is definitely not out to help the small channel. why would the algorithm or company want to bother putting a very average (me) tiny channel out on someones feed as opposed to the new video that a big channel uploads???? its bad business, you promote the big winners not the normal hobbyist like us.

First time I've seen any of your videos and this pops up, another KZreadr said the same thing about the algorithm and the counterintuitive functions of how it assumes interest based on views.

I don't know how long you've been doing KZread for. But I discovered you because of this video. I happen to like tanks and models so I know I'll like the content so I subbed. Anyways, views always dry up after Christmas unless you're squarely in the education niche. I'm a gaming channel (never done promotion through KZread or paid anyone to do it for me) but my statistics are like this. January is always a good month as there's still a lot of things to talk about so the algorithm is pushing me harder still. February sucks. That's when my channel enters a dead period. Feb - late May it's just dead. June is a strong month. July weak. August is middling. September is strong as that's when the algorithm kicks back in. So September - January is when I'm getting a ton of views. Feb - basically June nothing, then a short dead zone. I don't know if it's similar for you or not but it's something to keep in mind.

Hi! Thanks for saying hi! It’s great to hear from other small KZreadrs, when you do this you don’t really have an idea of what’s normal!. I found what you say really interesting, and yes august for me is awful, but I think promote might have brought my ‘August’ forwards! 🙂 Thanks again and have a great Sunday 👍
