We fab stockcars so at first i was like Man we could tackle a raise easy...then i began to research some of what youve done and your bus interior...construction most my life...Im blown away by guys like you and being well rounded...we may be racin a few states this year Pa. Beautiful video & quote at the end. We have a question about smoothing out the metal before you paint. We have a lot of seems on the outside of our bus after fabbing new windows, because we reused the ceiling skin. We were going to use bondo to make it all look smooth but someone told us that isn't a great plan because it will likely crack. What do you guys use to make your roof raised beauties look so smooth?! - Erin + Brian, currently converting our skoolie in Ontario.

BE Adventure Partners thanks so much! It’ll definitely crack in a very short time. Use an automotive seam sealer that has some flex to it when cured. Another great option is SikaFlex 242. Apply a thin bead on the seam, then smooth flat with a finger. Once painted, it makes a very smooth looking seam.

Just curious, Have you heard anything from Life in a bus gang? They dropped off the map last year..., By the way I love everything you do!

how long have you been in the bus now? also ever head to the east coast for a roof raise?

Is there a particular reason why no one raises the entire roof with no transition? I’m thinking about trying it but I want to make sure it’s not a structural reason why no one does it.
