I am now Christian for 40 years: When Jesus came into my live he cleansed my thoughts. And taught me to give up day dreaming etc so I stopped. But I was convinced having the Holy Spirit within me, temptations only come from outside. But listening to Rosaria I realize that was a missing part. We helped people in being set free from demons, but there is still a battle in the heart and that is not only taking our thoughts under the obedience of Christ, but dealing with the indwelling sins.

The only thing I would disagree with is Rosaria’s support of psychotherapy. Against Psychotherapy For the Bible by Martin and Deidre Bobgan clearly illustrate the difference between a Biblical worldview and Pychotherapy. John Rosemond is another excellent resource and many “experts” in the field are now disagreeing with the efficacy of it and the medical solutions offered by it.

I am a 19 year old Trans-man, and I am totally okay with letting kids with Gender Dysphoria socially transition, because they could possibly grow out of their Dysphoria. Once the kid turns 18+ they can medically transition if they have to. Not all trans people transition medically, and that is kids need wait since medical transition is permanent and there is no going back. Before adults try to go through a medical transition they should undergo at least 2 years of non affirmative therapy to see if they actually have Gender Dysphoria or not so they do not make a mistake by not medically transitioning or by medically transitioning. Medical transition needs to be severely gatekeeped so that those who need to transition medically can do so, and so that those who do not need to do not make the biggest mistake of their life.

As a practicing child psychiatrist in the Midwest, I provide mental health treatment for kids that experience gender dysphoria. I can’t say strongly enough how dangerous and toxic the views shared on “winsome” Christian media are for the most vulnerable of kids. Regardless of how loving you may think you present yourself, when you casually don’t recognize their preferred pronouns, you plant a seed of shame, shame for being thought as an aberration in an otherwise cisgender world. Kids do not choose this for themselves, they are rejected by friends, bullied, and tragically can’t even turn to family for affirmation in many cases. Never tell a child that their identity is a sin. Don’t worry, I’m sure somebody else already has. This is not a “woke” or “Marxist” experience for these kids and their families. Most people don’t understand that children that eventually receive hormonal therapies have consistently identified as being of a different gender than their born sex beginning at age 3 or even younger, and consistently maintain this view for many years prior to deciding with parents to transition as teens. They voice to me how much they hate their bodies, how sad they feel, how bullied they are, and yesterday a child asked me during an appointment why people “hate me.” Studies are showing that gonadal formation and gender identity in the brain are completely different processes involving many in utero hormone exposures and genetics. They were not “groomed”. There is still so much we don’t know, and we are trying so hard to figure out how best to help these children and their families. The high risk of suicide in transgender and gender dysphoric youth is not separated from the views shared on this channel. I understand that fundamentalist belief is unwavering in regard to “biblical views”. The views shared on this program are rigid and not based on rigorous scientific investigation. Rather than judge these children, rather than condemn them to hell, be curious and talk with them in an affirming way. If this is not possible, please just leave them alone, at least then they have a chance to live a life free of depression and shame.

The WPATH files reveal a different story: rushing children and teens into life-altering, irreversible medical treatments and procedures, void of rigorous scientific investigation/lacking warming or understanding of their long term side effects. Counseling children is one thing, but I see the affirmation that is promoted within that therapy - and by our federal government - as the gateway to a bleak future for these confused, delusional young people. It locks them in to a life of medical dependency and often regret. Pushing i.e. affirming transition with no warning of the long term consequences to not just their reproductive health but their overall physical and mental well-being, is criminal.

Maybe listen to the podcast before commenting. I understand treating these confused kids and encouraging them in their confusion is a big money maker for mental health workers but please put the health of children ahead of the profit.

Unfortunately, your profession is part of the problem. There is no “scientific research” that proves a basis for body dysphoria and psychotherapy is the biggest scam out there. Please read Against Psychotherapy by Martin and Deidre Bobgan. John Rosemond is also another good source.
