Helpful tips for growing Big Pumpkins

This was filmed on October 3, 2021. After filming this I harvested the only remaining pumpkin from "Round 1", it was grown from a runner only, even without any help from the main plant it weighed 31 pounds. It was from the Dill's Atlantic Giant seeds, the same as the other bigger pumpkin shown. The other three pumpkins were from either Howden or Jack O' Lantern seeds. I ended up harvesting about 30 pumpkins total during "Round 1". Most of this video shows "Round 2", planted about 2 months prior and they have been flowering and fruiting for 2 or 3 weeks.

I like how you waited until the end to say it's all about getting seeds with the right genetics. It's like all the tips that came before it don't matter. Nice information about pumpkins though 👌

I got the soil prepped in a day, mostly made mounds with bags of garden soil and manure. As the runners get going I prepare more soil as needed.
