Hey Walter, just wanted to say I love your stuff! Not a knifemaker but studying to become an engineer. Your videos are just really relaxing to me. Have you ever considered sending some of your knives out to american EDC KZreadr? Might be a way to get the word out there.

I haven't had great luck with blue richlite. It's pretty durable but on the couple of knives ive made with it, the handle turns black in a year or so.

Richlite has been used on Nashville-built Gibson Guitars for years (since they got into a Brazilian Rosewood importation swat raid with the gub'ment). Other guitar builders have used it too, Texas Toast Guitars did several youtube episodes on their use of it maybe two or three years ago. The material started as a solution for Chemistry Lab table tops that could take a lot of severe abuse.

I've got a couple of Kizer folders in Richlite. Its been a year or so, and no complaints. Must say it's not as interesting as the weave in micarta.

Just wanted to drop this comment here for your old video kzread.info/dash/bejne/l2iYsa6ad729eLA.htmlsi=9MoXRpXiJjREMjpf that i came across as comments are turned off for that one. Just wanted to say that i am so impressed with the heat treat and edge holding of the katana in that video. Im wondering what steels you currently use for katanas.
