I REALLY hope they don't try to make her sympathetic. She's been portrayed as nothing but _born evil._ She's the kind of wretched who only made it to adulthood because of her status, and I'd rather see her get hers, than watch them try to rehab her image.

You're right, the pilot isn't canon anymore but they wanted to keep that part of it so they had to write it back into the show so it would remain canon😊

I haven’t seen it yet, but the fact that Stolas’ dad is voiced by Jafar will never not make me smile. He suits the role so freaking well, and I can never not hear it. It only makes me wish that we really did get an r rated cut of Aladdin with Robin Williams going full raunchy and Jafar cussing out everyone.

Fun fact: paimon (Stolas dad) is more obedient to Lucifer than other kings are. ( although it’s still unknown if Stolas’ family is really close to Charlie’s family). Plus Stolas has 70+ siblings.

The Goetia family aren't a family in that sense at least not in the show, Stella's brother (can't remember his name) is also a member of the Goetia family so unless Stolas and Stella are siblings things have been changed.

No. There are 70+ members of the Ars Goetia. You can find it in the Lesser Keys of Solomon, or just Google it. There are several kings, so for that reason alone, Paimon can’t be the father of ALL of them. That, plus some members of the family (e.g., Stella) isn’t Goetia in the sense of having magical powers and responsibilities. Everyone is probably distantly related to everyone, but not closely related. So no, Stolas may have a lot of siblings, but not every member of the Ars Goetia.

Bryce Pinkham (Stolas VA) is a gift for this show. Also did you know that it was one take? Bryce was actually crying while singing "All Alone". Richard Horovitz (Moxxie, Voice Director of both shows) thought that's it and kept rolling. That's why this song is so emotional

This episode puts so much in context. Also Stolas laugh announcing the divorce was some straight up super villain shit lol.

I love that Stolas was normal and shy until Blitzo.....bit him awakening his sexual excitement

Stolas sings is by far my favourite song in the show, his emotion is just so raw, he’s perfect in this whole episode, the delivery of “I don’t care! What your arrogant brother thinks.” Is the best I’ve ever heard

The pilot isn't CANON, but most of the events in the Pilot that are implied to have happened did infact happen, like the "I fucked your husband" and the "Loona calls Moxxie fat". If it's never confirmed by a flashback later, then it can be assumed it either didn't happen or at least happened in a different way.

This season has been EVEN much better than season 1 somehow, I love this show SMMMMM!!!!

James Monroe Iglehart (Vortex and Asmodeus, also Zestial in Hazbin and a random lizard guy in the Hazbin pilot) was Genie in Broadway Aladdin. Technically that also applies to Jonathan Freeman (Paimon and Buckzo in this very episode) since he reprised being Jafar for the stage version. Alex Brightman (Fizzarolli, also Adam and Sir Pentious on Hazbin) was Broadway Beetlejuice (and Fizz is actually the closest of those voices to his Beetlejuice). And even Octavia, daughter of Stolas, is Barrett Weed (who played Janis in Mean Girls alongside Charlie's voice who was Cady).

YES FINALLY! This season is so good. The animation got so much better, the stories were deeper and the character development that we get is soooo good. And baby Stolas is SO CUTE.

That song.... DANG IT, IT'S SO GOOD! His voice is so freaking beautiful. And the visuals man, I can't compliment enough. He looks so beautiful (no weird sexual meaning behind this sentence) yet broken in that royal dress or what is it called. That effect on the inside of the cape so it looks like it has depth! And ofc that line: "What's between you and I, just a comfortable lie" Every time! Freaking goosebumps, and that shaking voice trying not to break down crying just breaks my hearth. I could go on and on about this but I spare every reader from that..😆 Also 18:57 Anyone can say what they want about Stolas, but that picture on the right is badass

Stolas is such a great character and his songs like this are what leave me to only describe them as a depressed Disney Princess. By the way that book Stolas pulls out mid song isn't the Grimnoir, it has been translated by viewers and is very interesting but I won't say more.

Regarding the pilot not being canon. There are several things they wanted to keep, and several things they did not. For instance they threw out Stolas' original villain role as an amoral meddler interested in using IMP to assassinate people, but kept him being a horny "imp sucker!" Instead of specifically listing everything that was still canon, they just declared the pilot noncanon, and then showed the elements they wanted to keep.

I prefer s2 to s1 especially the two most recent episodes, you're in for such a treat😆

I think the “look my way” song is a released scene of the unreleased episode. So if I were you I would wait until the actual episode releases before watching that

So happy you enjoyed this episode! It is one of my faves. All the kids are adorable! Fizzy is such a sensitive sweetheart as a child and the two imp boys are so close. Blitzø and Stolas as children are such darling little beans! The song has been Stolas' background character music from the start of the series and he finally sang the song in this episode. It was in Truth Seekers when Stolas appears in front of the humans to save IMP, as well as other past eps. It will heard again in future eps. Bryce's voice, both speaking and singing, has made Stolas my favourite character in the series. I agree with you about waiting until you finish S2 E7 before watching Look My Way. LMW was an Xmas present to the fans since HB was on hold while the team completed the first season of HH.

Something to note for this look into the past, Blitzo's body is entirely red, where when we see him older, Blitz's body has large white patches all over it. His father, Cash Buckzo, is also fully red, but despite being an adult, has no large white patches. What might this IMPly? You've got a few episodes to ponder it.

Stolas and his Dad literally clap and share the same love for circuses 😂 even in the Loo-Loo land he clapped after robo-fizz finished singing. Also, keep the little story of the two balloon horses Fizz and Blitz play with. Spoilers: They foreshadowed something between him and Blitz.

The song from stolas in this episode and the credit song in ep8 s1 Monsters ball by kesha are my most favorite songs from helluva boss (i really suggest you to listen again to monsters ball even though it's not a Canon helluva boss song and you can only find it on fan's channels)

When you get a chance, watch the background CAREFULLY. There are a TON of cross-references and sub-jokes scattered in the background. Some times you will have to backtrack or watch frame by frame to catch them!

People in the beginning: "Wow, Stolas is a sh*tty hubsand but at least he's a good dad!" People at this point: "Omg poor Stolas, forced into an arranged marriage and constantly emotionally and most likely physically abused, all for his daughter to be happy!!! ;O he's the best!"

According to the lore, it would be impossible for Blitz to kill Stolas as Stolas is a member of the demon royalty. So, Blitz most likely knew that and that turning Stolas's head wouldn't really hurt him. Also, the moment when Stolas wakes up in "Now", he's wearing the same attire as was back when he went on his date with Blitz at Ozzie's, so "Now" is likely the next day after that. So, he's probably hungover as we can only guess he started drinking alone when Blitz left.

Just because elements of the pilot are now canon does not mean the whole episode is canon. Its a fallacy of composition. Its still fine to assume anything in the pilot that isnt contradicted in the series proper as sources for your assumptions as long as you understand that any of those assumptions can be proven false by future episodes. But mainly when a part of something is canon, it does not make the whole thing canon.

Paimon is such an ass, but I honestly love him, his voice acting is incredible, he's really funny, and he's actually one of the better parents in Helluva Boss (not good, but not Cash levels of bad at least), I hope Paimon makes an appearance again lol

I think the Goetia population is controlled or children are rare for them and only out of necessity(let’s say I have a theory that Stolas needed a wife and "precautionary addition" to family only because of the beginning of extermination and the appearance of angelic weapons on the market)

So some people criticize this turn in the story for letting Stolas off the hook for being a cheater in his marriage by making Stella such an over the top b-word. I can't disagree, honestly, because it really is kind of a cop-out. But I still like Stolas and Blitz's flawed relationship and how they met. I just wish this series had more than two female characters who aren't completely awful.
