What would make it better (If possible) : Custom names for Planets like Crait or Hoth for an ice planet Battle droids for the atomaton with separatist gunships when they´re dropping, or an AAT for the enemy Tanks That the super destroyer is looking like an real Galactic star destroyer Different gun models like an DC-15A for the macine gun, or for the Pistol the DC-17 blaster (often used by rex or officers) This mod is already fucking great and these are only tips for what you could add to this masterpice. bro I’ve been cooking with this idea for MONTHS, make this game but with a squad of 4 commandos against the CIS, instead of getting called back in you have only a certain amount of bacta defibulators the entire squad has that can be used to revive everyone, be able to call in gunships or all kinds of crazy Star Wars weapons, or even a squad of regular clones, etc it’d make the perfect commando game

Arrowhead developers have stated that Helldivers 2 isn't mod-supported, any form of modding is against the ToS. Unlike games like DRG, Minecraft, Modding Helldivers 2 will risk your account of getting ban regardless if it doesn't affect gameplay or is client-sided. If you watch closely to the youtube video, you do notice that everyone is low level (hinting that they made a new account just to showcase the mod without risking their main account.) As for the mod link, it got taken down due to copyright, same reason to how someone mods Palworld with pokemon.

​@@Chiko75 That is correct, CEO said he respects for the modders giving "fun" to other people instead of ruining their game. However, this doesn't mean its legal. As I said again, Arrowhead, including Sony (refer to the ToS), does not make their online game have mod support; any form of modding is punishable. If you still don't understand what I mean't here, take this for an example. You are a polic , and you see someone breaking the law but is helping his own people.

@@nexokami ty i know what ToS are. I was just asking what kind of info you have that the developer arrowhead (not sony the publisher) is going after modders. I understand that they (sony and arrowhead) dont want any cheaters etc to actively ruin the expirence. But cosmetic mods, that only work on the clientside are even applouded by the developers and atleast imo its highly unlikely that sony would invest time and money into banning paying&playing customers who just want to run around like master chief or whatever. Especially after that giant L they took from the pc Community just recently. My question for you was just regarding the developers going after modders/modded clients.

I'd absolutely love if yknow these mods were ACTUALLY AVAILABLE FOR THE PUBLIC AND NOT GATEKEPT

These mods are usually client side so they are nothing more then a skin, if they were server side it would be a problem

The developer just said to be careful because the anti-cheat can be pretty strict, that even if you're playing private solo it might ban you

Star Wars is cool BUT what I really wanted was a Warhammer40K MOD where we play as a squad of Astra Militarum against all the enemies of the human race. The game would be better within the Star Wars: Battlefront 2 game itself, with the system of buying better units with the points you have while playing with the basic soldier, I think it would be really fun.

Be patient, they'll release it when its time. They released the Master Chief mod, so I wouldn't doubt it if they released this as well. I want it right now as well, but not much we can do. I definitely am donating once it gets released tho.

Imagine a 40k mod where we are guardsmen or Scions. Automations are men of iron and bugs are tyranids

This is one of the coolest projects ever taken on! It is important though to consider gameplay when swapping models. Weak points on the Devastators, Hulks, and Tanks are too crucial to be obfuscated like this. Making Devastators SBDs with glowing eyes where the headshot hitbox is would be peak, maybe just have glowing hologram weak points for the Hulk and Tanks. Hunter's commando backpack should be a remodel of the actual supply pack, instead of the armor model! Seeing what players have a backpack or not is important. Little lore bit, but the droids using the Automaton walker with a CIS logo would be more fitting than a Republic walker! Maybe close the side doors on the LAAT? I don't mean to nitpick but this being the coolest mod idea ever we really can make it high level gameplay viable!

Very nice details in this one. Only thing missing is the lasers for the player weapons but I imagine that would be difficult. I also noticed that the shadows on the ground is still the normal Helldivers shadows with capes and all but that's no issue, I like it. Adds to whole experience, like the Droidekas with physical tower shields, love it! 😀

Just found out about this cause of Elliot on X, and honestly can’t wait to see more from you guys!!

I can imagine these guys dug into the client side code, added a bunch of texture files (and code) and figured out how to override how those assets are being displayed in their game engine / graphics.

There were at least TWO Star Wars mods on Nexus. One was default Phase 2 clone trooper armor, and the other was a Phase 1 add-on for that armor. And now they're conveniently gone. HMMM.
