Last of us 2 originally being made for vastly less powerful hardware it’s amazing it achieved what it did. It’s not as far away from hellblade 2 as you would think at times

C'est vrai. Cependant, TLOU 2 est sorti en fin de génération PS4, de base. Les devs avaient donc eu toute une génération entière pour bien maîtriser le matériel et le logiciel. Or, HB2 sort là en milieu de génération et s'impose comme le standard actuel en termes de graphisme et animations.

GRAPHICALLY cyberpunk beats this out by a long shot because of path tracing but VISUALLY this game looks exactly like a movie, or just a massive ass cutscene that is impossible to distinguish cutscene vs regular gameplay if you take a photo

​@@waltuhputurdaway PT in video games is not good currently as it can't give the visual upgrade for the performance it consumes. Also, to showcase PT diff, devs don't make the raster lighting good which is why CP2077 looks flat and has light-bleeding issue in non-RT mode. BTW, Hellblade 2 doesn't use PT or all the RT features.

El motor de Naughty Dog es potente pero no creo que sea capaz de igualar al UE5, de hecho no creo que ningún motor pueda hacerlo. Aunque TLOU3 está muy lejos todavía, así que para ese tiempo talvez si pueda. En un futuro cercano, veo más factible que sea The Coalition con su Gears of War 6 el que logre superar a Hellblade 2 en gráficos.

@@TGZ1617 La verdad es que concuerdo, a estas alturas pocos juegos han demostrado el potencial de las nuevas consolas, aunque si han habido mejoras no se ha sentido ningún salto. Creo que Hellblade 2 es el primero que si parece dar un salto importante, y es gracias al UE5... Veremos si otros estudios logran sacarle provecho a esas tecnologías. También tengo curiosidad por ver el nuevo juego de idSoftware, que se supone será un nuevo Doom, y estaría usando la nueva versión del idTech, que también es un motor bastante robusto.

Pues sinceramente, le veo mucho más mérito a TLOU2, que si, Hellblade 2 se ve increíble, pero es exclusivo next gen y es extremadamente limitado jugablemente para que se vea así, TLOU2 en cambio es un juego que se hizo en base a una consola con hardware de hace 11 años y que mantiene el tipo con juegos actuales, y todo con una jugabilidad bastante más compleja y amplia.

This game seems more like a game than a complete game. There is no complexity of mechanics, and if you notice, there is often no impact of the sword with the enemies, this game (tecdemo) is a joke.

@@turboesco9727 it's not surprising that even a small dev could create amazing fidelity cinematics or a game with low interactivity or gameplay depth given enough time . That's actually how epic used to make all their cinematic unreal engine real time demos. Making something more substantial is harder. Personally I really enjoyed the og hellblade but it seems like they sacrificed a lot of that interactivity of that game for more graphics. And considering I was already disappointed with that games regression in combat since their previous game(DmC) had great gameplay for a western action game dev, it's just more of a disappointment here

Compare it to Uncharted 4, I still find it incredible. They moment Nathan Drake wakes up in the mud still leaves me in awe. You have to consider that Naughty Dog games don't use real faces, they are not scanned from a real person. They are imagined and stylised and then motion captured. Also TLOU2 uses a Ps4 engine...

@@leonardomiranda704 Mesmo sendo crossgen , o Horizon forbiden west é o jogo mais bonito do playstation, mas bonito até que o spiderman 2 que é exclusivo de nova geração, por isso usei ele como referência. Em relação ao tamanho do jogo, é fato que o HFW tem um mapa muito maior, isso é fato, mas falando unicamente de gráficos, o Hellblade 2 se sobressai. Tenho os dois jogos no PC.

DEATH STRANDING 2

TLOU2 is one of the finest examples of 8th gen video game graphics and a fantastic game. Hellblade 2 is undoubtedly a 9th gen graphics powerhouse, too bad it's such a mid game though. Gameplay sacrificed for photorealistic fidelity. Alan Wake 2, A Plague Tale Requiem, and Metro Exodus are roughly on par with H2 visually but are also good games with more than 8 hrs of gameplay. Some other games I think worth mentioning are Horizon Forbidden West and RDR2. Arkham Knight and The Order 1886 also hold up remarkably well for being nearly a decade old.

Estoy jugando hellblade 2 y no es un videojuego como tal, todo esta scrioteado, es un error compararlo con juegos como GOW o The last of us que las cinematicas estan llenas de comandos. Hellblade 2 se asemeja mas a los juegos de Quatic dream donde basicamente son videos con QTEts

Es un remasterizado más no un remake, así que sigue siendo el juego que salio hace años.

The last of us two has a ton of systems big open areas different mechanics. Hell blade two is literally a four hour game that is almost all walking and cut scenes at 30 frames the second at 900 P. PlayStation put a AAA budget into a four hour linear game where there was barely any fighting. They could make an awesome looking game also. The last of us is years older than this game and it’s still holds up.

gta isn't meant to look completely realistic, they go for a bit of a stylized look which is fine i don't care for every dev to have unreal 5 visuals, besides gameplay still matters more which is where gta 6 destroys a cinematic experience with all the interactive gameplay details and secrets u are able to find and explore, heck red dead 2 alone is still incredible, wish more devs were doing that

lol the cuts that were taken to get those visuals are apparent you cant move outside of the linear track, the world is much much much much smaller, you are limited in what you can do the water is garbage in hellblade 2 and you cant interact with it like last of us part 2, im far more impressed with last of us part 2, if it takes those kinds of cuts to get higher fidelity graphics, ill just keep playing games with large scale like spiderman and still impressive visuals than a glorified slide show that is nothing but a glorified tech demo

The last of us fue hecho para ps4 y dura como 25h, no creo que la comparación con un juego actual que dura 6h tenga mucho sentido…aun así las físicas de tlou y como se interacciona con el entorno está a otro nivel

Não entendo a galera defendendo esse jogo, que só tem gráficos pra ver nada além de pedras, não tem interação nenhuma com o cenário, só mover o analógico pra frente, um simulador de caminha, e apenas uma demonstração do poder do UE5

​@@andreicarvalho7323você não entende porque o único contato que você teve com o jogo foi pelo KZread, você "joga" pelo KZread. Por isso não sabe que tem sim interação com o cenário, pois você resolve puzzles para abrir portas. E esses combates que você viu não são cenas, são completamente controladas pelo jogador...como esquiva, bloqueio, ataque e etc...

Quem ta reclamando é pq jogou ou esqueceu que ta no gamepass? se não tivesse ninguem ia pagar 250 nesse jogo. Não tem nada de interação o cenario, só caminha pra frente e é isso, o resto é scriptado quick time event, e os puzzles são a mesma coisa que o primeiro, se fosse da sony todo mundo ia ta chamando de filminho mas agora que é da xbox.. enfim a hipocrisia

Debe ser un pedido por parte de tu comunidad específicamente, lo único que creo podría rivalizar es horizon forbidden west burning shores, ya tu mismo demostraste que esto es básicamente un 1-1 del juego original para PS4, por otro lado burning shores es más acordé, con los resultados que han dado motores como Decima de Guerilla games, Rage de Rockstar o Northlight de Remedy espero no se abandonen esas herramientas para utilizar solo unreal 5, saludos.

Interesante comparación. Me queda la duda de si Hellblade teniendo esas barras negras se podría considerar 4K, o si eso ayuda un poco a qué pueda centrar la potencia en los detalles.

Corriendo internamente a 900p en una series S, claramente 4k no es. Y no, con las barras negras no logras 3840x2160p de resolución, tendrás un 30% menos.

El juego es 4k nativo para pantallas panoramicas tontin, por eso las lineas negras en pantallas mas estandar, en pc se pueden quitar facilmente con una linea de codigo en un bloc de notas. Les falta información, sus comentarios son ridiculos.

@@smoothoperator1936 "4k nativo" las pantallas panorámicas tienen en promedio 30% más pixels qué las pantallas típicas Widescreen. El juego corriendo en una pantalla 16:9 no renderiza a 3840x2160p ni en una pantalla 4k. Tu crees que es un filtro nada más? Modificar el archivo lo único que haces es utilizar una resolución custom. Ponte a estudiar un poco que te falta mucho, mucho conocimiento.

Lo más loco para mí es que TLOU2 tiene 4 años ya, y sigue siendo un ejemplo para la industria sobre como hacer un Triple A.

@@minos4613 Hellblade 2 ni Triple A es. Y no es un mal juego, es valiente igual que TLOU2, pero limita demasiado su gameplay en pro de gráficos e historia. Es un walking simulator y como tal da grandes lecciones a los Triple A, pero un walking simulator no va a volverse nunca un ejemplo para la industria, por más bueno que sea. Sí lo considero el tope gráfico, y ahí creo que no hay discusión.

Libertad de movimiento vs Carencia de libertad. Sobre todo en las peleas cuerpo a cuerpo. Aparte de que la estrategia no existe en Hellblade. Hay que ahorrar recursos para poder dar gráficos.

Es increíble que tlous2 se vea como se ve teniendo en cuenta que es un videojuego en toda regla. ,

Supongo que la idea era comparar lo mejor gráficamente hablando de la anterior generación con algo top de la nueva. Pero es muy difícil la comparación, por donde lo veas, uno es un estudio pequeño, otro es un estudio de triples A, uno es un walking simulator el otro es más acción/ sigilo en tercera persona. Personalmente me encantó hellbalde tanto el uno como el 2 Son experiencias únicas y muy inmersivas. Pero casi que es una serie interactiva. Solo que ahora con los cierres de tantas compañías y despidos me da miedo que cierren el estudio que tanto talento tiene.

Horizon no sería una buena comparación, por qué tiene un estilo levemente "cartoon"... Su estilo gráfico no es realista.

I think the more appropriate comparison would be to Alan Wake 2

tomar en cuenta que el unreal engine 5 ya es una herramienta que te da todo a la mano, solo debes saber como utilizarlo, en cambio the last of us 2 utiliza su propio motor grafico Naughty Dog's engine donde todo esta desde cero.

No es tan así, ten en cuenta que una cosa es el equipo que trabaja en el motor gráfico y otra el equipo que hace el juego, suelen ser equipos diferentes, el motor de naughty dog igual que el de Unreal, esta en constante evolución, no parten de cero, todos sus anteriores títulos han utilizado versiones del motor anteriores, igual que Unreal engine lleva desarrollándose desde el 98

Naughty Dog really need to have nanite and lumen like solutions for TLOU3. outdoor lighting on skin and some low geometry environmental elements are the only distracting visual negatives in TLOU2

The last of us destroys hellblade graphically hellblade doesn't even have sub surface skin scattering on the character models nor does it have interactive foilage the water shaders are horrendous.

Now that unreal engine 5 has set the bar graphically I wonder what sony first party studios and their in house engines can do to compete. Or do they move the UE5 as well? I know naughty dog said they are targeting hellblade 2 like graphics for wolverine so i'm curious as to what they cooking. Also Gears 6 is going to be nuts. What a time to be a gamer. "Next Gen" after all these years is finally arriving.

Naughty Dog? Insomniac create Wolverine. And yes, it has taken awhile but current-gen visuals are finally improving. Sony definitely delayed it for quite awhile to still put their big titles on PS4 but their next big titles from their main developers gotta be exclusively PS5. So newest God of War which should be many years ago, Horizon new game or maybe a totally new IP. TLOU3 or new IP, Wolverine, Venom game and Ghost of Tsushima 2.

What’s the point in comparing a game to a movie?

Unreal Engine 5 tiene un enorme talon de aquiles que es el agua. En ningún videojuego de los que han salido he logrado ver unas físicas de líquidos realistas, que esten acordes al enorme salto gráfico que tienen otros materiales del motor gráfico. En ese sentido, otros motores como Source Engine 2 son superiores segun lo visto en Counter-Strike 2 y en las cinematicas de operaciones como Riptide. Ya que, si bien solo mostraron las físicas en un 3D plano, eso es debido a que es un multijugador, pero está claro que en 3D real, con volumenes reales se notaria la enorme diferencia entre la calidad de uno y del otro motor.

Solo usaron ue5 y sus cualidades de base. No se dieron la tarea de utilizar un plugin o crear el suyo propio para unas físicas realistas del agua, usaron las que vienen por default.

hellblade 2 is pure boring & lame as hell to play. its literally a walking simulator movie game with absolute ZERO good gameplay. graphics don't mean nothing if the game is straight up boring & nothing unlike how truly fun & amazing Japanese games are

Ninja t. Hizo el juego con sólo 80 personas y tlou2 mas de 2000 que merito tiene eso tambien aunque ambos se ven brutales y ojala lo que venga sorprenda mas tanto de ps y xbox.

@@mr.frijol5444 ya hubiera sido el colmo si 2000 personas con un presupuesto de 200MDD no lo lograban. Hellblade con 88 personas y 10MDD de presupuesto puso la generación tope, sin duda un logro digno de admirar y que pocos estudios podrían lograr o casi ninguno.

As a big fan of TLOU 2 and someone who prefers it over Hellblade, this is just a video to appreciate the evolution of graphics. It’s cool to appreciate them both in that aspect.

On a phone screen these might look similar but on my 77" oled there is a very big difference
