First Last There may have been great pastors in the past but Dr. Keller expresses better than anybody I have heard, living or dead, the faith of my fathers, a faith I had abandoned. I told our pastor’s wife once that I thought NYC was lost, that like the cities of Europe, New York had no real churches except Times Square Church. She told me I was wrong; that they had found some great churches in New York. I understand why my mother was the greatest mom imagineable even though I never appreciated her or loved her as I should have when she was alive. This was the faith that made it possible for her to love me in spite of my coldness toward her.

This is a question I've had for such a long time. My perception of hell felt like God was a sociopath. When really, God wants to save us from ourselves. There's no demons poking us with pitchforks. Its our own self, tearing ourselves apart because any sense of purpose we can find on earth is temporary. And once we die, it might sustain us for a year, but eternity is a long time and we need a sense of purpose that is eternal to survive as human beings. This is the revelation I needed.

The "god" of the Bible as ordinarily understood IS still a sadistic sociopath. IT is a shoddy sloppy "creator" whose creations have a mere instant relative to Eternity to come to believe the "Creator" as defined by other shoddy creations or be damned. Humanity needs to be saved from this "Creator" - which is nothing more than a human creation itself.

Keller's definition of hell (16:24): "Hell is just a freely chosen identity based on something else besides God, going on forever." When commenting on whether God is the one who does the punishing or not (16:46): he asks what do the sinners want God to do? "Leave them alone? That's what hell is." Here he asserts that God is not holding anyone in hell or doing the punishing but rather that they freely choose it. Each person freely and ongoing-ly chooses hell. 17:30 "Without that self choice, it wouldn't be hell." 21:20 "It's not something imposed by God in violence, is it." Does Keller leave open then the option of the reprobate choosing otherwise? Post-mortem salvation? On a side note: it is interesting to hear a hard-line predestinarian making a case for hell that is entirely based upon free choice.

This verse scares me and as a new believer who’s only perusing Christianity becsue of fear of hell , it makes me abit hostile toward God. Why would he do such a thing ? I just can’t imagine it. At Bible study, they said Lazarus wanted his brothers to be warned, because he wish he'd been warned -- because he did not want to be in hell. He wanted to save his brothers from what he was going through. Don't know about this new idea, that he wanted to warn his brothers because ... he was hinting that he wasn't warned. Doesn't make sense to me.

  • @yeleminpino

    @yeleminpino

Precisely, Keller is stating that the man in hell had flawed logic. It's not that he wasn't warned, he was - he just didn't see the warnings. For the man in hell, a sufficient warning would be sending Lazarus to his brothers. But for God, a sufficient warning is what was told by Moses and the Prophets. Sending Lazarus to his brothers won't save them from hell, only the word of God.

  • @LightDragon777

While I think it is true that those who do go to hell are there because of them clinging to their own sin, I think Keller might be overemphasizing that a bit here to the neglect of making God a merely passive agent in the judgement of sin. Yes, in a sense, hell is something that people bring on themselves, but God is also an active participant in it too.

I think the trouble I and others have with the doctrine of hell is it’s relation to justice. who receives the responsibility of guilt in a world of people who did not choose to be born into it? I believe life is a gift, but it doesn’t seem like one when your base state as a human from the get-go is total depravity. Does God take the burden of guilt for this or man? I did not choose to be born. I did not choose to be born a sinner. I did not choose to be saved either. If God is just, and he foreknew mankind would not freely choose him, but he created all this anyway, who receives the onus of fault for this terrible scenario? the cross as our salvation seems to be a way of God bailing himself out of blame as much as it is for us. (i will repent of that statement with more understanding). according to the reformed view of soteriology, God ultimately has the freedom to determine who is saved and who is damned. so hell is freely chosen by mankind, but salvation is not? the doctrine of total depravity and election seem to be a double bind (frozen chosen). if keller is right about hell being a “freely chosen identity built on something else besides God, going on forever” (which is seemingly arminian) then the antithetical offer of salvation must be that mankind could freely choose God. But we can’t according to the reformed view underlying keller’s belief system. God has the keys to salvation and we cannot choose our way out of hell. how is this fair or just when I did not choose to be created but instead inserted into this body of disfunction, pain and violence? where is the love? can someone help me understand this conundrum? I really want to believe in the God of the reformed faith, but these doctrines seem to hold me at bay. maybe i’m made for reprobation idk. also, if God calls the rich man “son” why would he not offer post-mortem salvation to the man by way of irresistible grace? does he not have the means and power to do so? why is it determined that the end of your life is the cut off point to not-so-freely choose God?

Laughing at the sigh of relief from a non-christian because of they will suffer something far worse. More laughing again at around 17 minutes in. It seems to me that neither Keller nor the crowd actually believe the version of hell described in this sermon--if they truly believed it, they likely wouldn't be laughing (unless they are all sociopaths which is highly unlikely).

Your observations are right, that you can never be sure about your motivations for good deeds, and even if they were pure you have already sinned in the past. Good deeds aren't enough to heal the damage done by bad ones, or to absolve guilt of past sin. Being a Christian isn't about doing good deeds, it's about admitting that your deeds aren't good enough. That you need God's healing of your sinful heart, and forgiveness for your own injustices. Jesus died to pay the cost of our sin, so we no longer have to face the penalty of sin, which is death. Believing that your sins have been paid for by Jesus's death is how you become a Christian. That's step one. If you believe it then you are free of guilt and can live knowing you have peace with God and he will never condemn you. He did this to show his own righteousness (Rom 3:21-27). And thank God for that! Because if our forgiveness rests on God's righteousness it doesn't rest on our own, meaning we can face our sin without fear or guilt, because by God's own righteousness he promises there's no condemnation left to face. We're free. And since it was God who made us righteous (not our own good deeds) there is nothing for us to be proud or arrogant about. We didn't do anything. We can now do good deeds in the freedom of knowing that any sin or wrong motivation has been forgiven. By faith we are forgiven, and then by faith it's once again God's power (not our own) that begins removing sin from our lives (Phil 1:6, Gal 3:2-3) and God that even works in us when we do good (1 Cor 12:6, & 15:10). And so, it's impossible for a Christian to be like a Pharisee. The Pharisees believed they were earning their way to God by their own good works and by obeying the law, and because of this they were arrogant and proud. A Christian cannot be like that, because to be a Christian is to recognize that God is the one who does all good things in and for you. There's nothing you can take credit for, and so you cannot be proud of your own good works and righteousness. Being a Christian begins by becoming humble. "Poor in spirit" "hungering and thirsting for righteousness" because you know you don't have it. Very much different from the attitude of a Pharisee. A Christian is free to live and do many good works, forever joyful that God is the source of all good things.

There's a serious problem at the foundation of this sermon. And the problem is that Hades is not a place of eternal duration. Everyone agrees that the rich man was in Hades, not Gehenna. Gehenna is the lake of fire, the second death. That is the eternal state. To support my point, consider this verse from Revelation: Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Rev 20:14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. So, Hades is the intermediate state between physical death and the second death (Gehenna, Lake of Fire). Hades is not an eternal state - it is going to be destroyed. To give this sermon and fail to mention that fact is a significant failure indeed.

There is definitely a genetic connection between the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of John. Only those 2 gospels mention Mary, Martha and Lazarus. John writes about Lazarus rising from the dead and Luke writes about the rich man desiring for Lazarus to come back from the dead. One of the Gospel writers had the other gospel in front of him and changed the story. Who was it? I'm thinking Luke had an earlier version of John's gospel in front of him (since he says in his prologue "Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that ... were handed down to us...with this in mind, I myself...decided to write an orderly account for you...") and didn't care much for John's account of Lazarus rising from the dead and changed it into a parable. John has the raising of Lazarus as the decisive act that made the religious leaders have Jesus arrested while all 3 other gospel writers have the Temple incident as the cause. Inexplicably John moves the Temple incident to the beginning of Jesus' ministry providing a false timetable of events. Luke admits other gospel accounts were not in order.

Al, different Lazarus. Mary and Marthas’ brother was the Lazarus you’re talking about. As for timelines, you have to understand the Gospels were not written as a biography the way we understand things in this time.

Romans 5:17-19 17 For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. 18 So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. 19 For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. >So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men [you believe this] >even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men [you do not believe this] > the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners[you believe this] >even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous [you do not believe this] Just as one man, Adam, through his one sin, condemned the entire human race, so to through the once act of righteousness, Jesus, saved and justified the entire human race. Thanks to Jesus everyone (the same everyone that Adam condemned) will be Justified, they will be declared not guilty, he who is not guilty cannot sin for he has no sin. THE RICH MAN AND LAZARUS 19. How do we know that Jesus’ words about the rich man and Lazarus are an illustration? 19 What, then, did Jesus mean when he said in one of his illustrations: “The beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell [Hades] he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom”? (Luke 16:19-31, King James Version) Since, as we have seen, Hades refers to mankind’s grave, and not to a place of torment, it is plain that Jesus was here telling an illustration or a story. As further evidence that this is not a literal account but is an illustration, consider this: Is hell literally within speaking distance of heaven so that such a real conversation could be carried on? Moreover, if the rich man were in a literal burning lake, how could Abraham send Lazarus to cool his tongue with just a drop of water on the tip of his finger? What, then, was Jesus illustrating? 20. What is the meaning of the illustration with regard to (a) the rich man? (b) Lazarus? (c) the death of each? (d) the torments of the rich man? 20 The rich man in the illustration stood for the self-important religious leaders who rejected Jesus and later killed him. Lazarus pictured the common people who accepted God’s Son. The death of the rich man and of Lazarus represented a change in their condition. This change took place when Jesus fed the neglected Lazarus-like people spiritually, so that they thus came into the favor of the Greater Abraham, Jehovah God. At the same time, the false religious leaders “died” with respect to having God’s favor. Being cast off, they suffered torments when Christ’s followers exposed their evil works. (Acts 7:51-57) So this illustration does not teach that some dead persons are tormented in a literal fiery hell.

Saying the rich man and Lazarus is literal is as ridiculous as saying the book of revelation is all literal. Jesus also had given 4 previous parables before the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Jesus also (clearly) said if you do not hate your family you can not be my disciple. Ya that proves its literal..lol Parables are stories that are not literal but they carry a spiritual meaning so we can not take them literally so we need to study to discern what the parable means. Why not just assume it is literal? Because Jesus only spoke to them in parables. That is why. Not to mention all the contradictions we face by using a literal interpretation. That is like saying- Luke 14/26 (Jesus says hate your whole family)... Why try to reason it away.........lol Matt. 13/34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables, he did not say anything to them without using a parable. You know what a parable is? Its not a literal story. 1. Ya a drop of water will cool some one off that is on fire...lol. 2. Rich man knew who Abraham (looked like) when he never saw him in his life. 3. You can see some one across a massive chasm when your in blinding fire. 4. Abraham died before Moses was alive but he just happens to know who he is. 5. We all go to a booms after we die...LOL! 6. Spirits all are injected into the booms of Abraham after death...LOL Pleas kindly show me the bible verse that has Jesus saying- "There really is a Rich man and Lazarus" Show me where it says it is NOT a parable. Show me where it says it is a literal event. Thanks. luke 16:19 "there was a rich man..." why try to unfoundedly reason it away?

The blood of Jesus not only applies to men, but it applies to angels as well! Colossians 1:16-20 King James Version 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Notice verse 20, the blood of Jesus reconciles not just things on earth but things in heaven. What needs to be reconciled in heaven? Look at verse 16, thrones, dominions, principalities, powers. These are demon ranks. Ephesians 6:12 King James Version 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high place The demons need the blood of Jesus too. The blood of Jesus is so powerful it will save even the Devil. God will save not just the good guys he created but also the bad guys he created as well. >visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers >And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven >to reconcile all things unto himself >or things in heaven > HEAVEN >For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high place proof that hell is not forever, the reason it says so in most bibles is a mistranslation of the words olam, aion, aionios www.hopebeyondhell.net/articles/further-study/eternity/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/what-is-aionios-life/ makepeacewithjesus.org/7-the-septuagint-part-2 www.askelm.com/doctrine/d041101.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d041201.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d050101.htm www.tentmaker.org/Quotes/churchfathersquotes.htm What happens to us when we die (we cease to exist, dead people are not conscious whatsoever) www.askelm.com/essentials/ess022a.htm godsplanforall.com/free-online-book/part-iii/chapter-23-do-we-have-an-immortal-soul/ godskingdom.org/studies/tracts/how-death-affects-your-body-soul-and-spirit thathappyexpectation.blogspot.com/2015/05/pauls-gospel-and-death-denying.html bible-truths.com/death.htm bible-truths.com/lake16-A.html bible-truths.com/lake16-B.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoqjvMGOhbjHoNo.html All of Jesus died on that cross, his body, his soul, his spirit www.askelm.com/essentials/ess018a.htm the Rich Man and Lazarus is a parable, here is an explanation of the parable bible-truths.com/lazarus.html godsplanforall.com/free-online-book/part-ii/chapter-19-the-rich-man-and-lazarus/ godskingdom.org/studies/tracts/gods-marvelous-plan-for-creation-part-3-the-rich-man-and-lazarus www.askelm.com/doctrine/d030602.htm Why certain doctrines contradict the gospel (trinity, free will, eternal torment, going to heaven/hell immediately after you die instead of waiting for the resurrection, the immortality of the soul ) thathappyexpectation.blogspot.com/2015/05/pauls-gospel-and-death-denying.html martinzender.com/ZWTF/ZWTF4.29.pdf predestination, free will, and the problem of evil (we have no free will, God is in control of our wills, God created evil, however evil will not last forever, once evil has served its job it will be done away with, the good it produces will last forever) bible-truths.com/lake2.html bible-truths.com/lake15.html www.iswasandwillbe.com/is-evil-good/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/ecc_1_12_18/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/prophecy-of-isaiah-isa-451-7-i-make-peace-and-create-evil-i-the-lord-do-all-these-things/ godskingdom.org/studies/books/the-problem-of-evil/chapter-1-the-problem-with-free-will godsplanforall.com/free-online-book/part-iii/chapter-25-why-god-allows-evil-and-suffering/ www.martinzender.com/ZWTF/ZWTF2.6.pdf www.askelm.com/doctrine/d950101.htm askelm.com/doctrine/d031002.htm the eventual destiny of humanity, we all all become God's children and live with him forever, check out the byte show interviews and audios www.askelm.com/abc/abc002.asp www.askelm.com/abc/abc003.asp www.askelm.com/essentials/ess033.htm www.askelm.com/essentials/ess035.htm www.askelm.com/essentials/ess036.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d040101.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d920501.pdf other general links The guys below teach the 2 gospels truth www.concordant.org/ martinzender.com/ www.biblestudentsnotebook.com/ www.studyshelf.com/videos/ thathappyexpectation.blogspot.com/ www.gracetruth.co.uk/ The guys below mix the two gospel into one, but their is much truth here bible-truths.com/ www.askelm.com/ saviourofall.org/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/ godskingdom.org/ godsplanforall.com/ tentmaker.org/ makepeacewithjesus.org/ Save the links to a notepad documents and bookmark them for further reading.

Jesus said in Mathew 13:33 “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch was leavened.” >The kingdom of heaven is like yeast >that a woman took and mixed [infected] >three measures of wheat flour >until the whole batch was leavened[the kingdom consumed and fills all the measures or groups of people]. There are three groups which the kingdom of God leavens (works on) until the kingdom of God is full. All three groups in the end enter the kingdom of God. Remember the leven is the kingdom. The flour are three groups of people. The law of Moses talks about three feasts (Exodus 23:14-17). The feast of unleavened bread(barley), the feast harvest (wheat) , the feast of in gatherings (grapes) . Paul talks about 3 groups of people that enter into the kingdom of God (1 Cor 15:22-28) First group is Jesus and the over-comers, they are the barley ( Romans 8:22-24, 1 Corinthians 15:20, James 1:18, Revelation 14:4). Second group is the wheat, they are gathered second. (Matthew 3:12, Matthew 13:29-30 , Luke 3:17 ) Third group is the grapes . they are gathered last. This group is crushed and turned into wine. (Revelation 14:17-20, Revelation 22:14-15) The three harvests = the three measures = the three groups. And notice it is the angels who has the authority over the fire that harvests the grapes in Rev 14:17-20 and it is the weeds that are burned up in Matthew 13:30 . And notice the grapes are crushed outside of the city. Outside the city are the evil doers. Sometime later, after those that died in the lake of fire judgment die, death dies, for death is the last thing to be destroyed. Then those that died in the lake of fire judgment are brought back to life. The only way for death to die is for all those that were dead to be brought back to life. Answer from the Holy Spirit Hell was originally created for the devil and his demons. The Lord God of Israel sent His Law through Moses to teach the people the way of life in Heaven and to guide them what is right and wrong in His eyes. Paul said the Law made the people exceedingly wicked. This brought them to condemnation and Hell. Every word of God in the Law of Moses is alive, He can not alter nor voided it, that whosoever trespass it shall die. The Lord God values what He created, He does not want all the people on earth to perish in Hell. So He sent His Son that whosoever repent by turning away from disobeying His Law and believes in His Son the Christ shall be saved. Paul said I CAN ALL DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME. The Lord God is the Creator; He already measured how far you can ran, and what you can only do. See, going to Hell is the choice you made and not by the will of God. He made you because He knows you can make it to Heaven IF YOU ONLY CHOOSE TO OBEY HIM. Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob made it to the Kingdom of God without any help of the teachings of Law of Moses, Prophets, and Christ. What was His commandment that He asked Cain to do? He should rule his evil thought. Evil one like you who can not follow a simple instruction as to discipline yourself from harming the lives of others deserves Hell. If you can work hard all your life to have a good life for a hundred years, you can very well do it for eternal life where mansions, water, food, and utilities are free. Genesis 4:7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it. Isaiah 55:1‭-‬3 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you- The sure mercies of David. Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!” Holy Spirit Facebook/ Mount Zion, gabrielle riah

There is no eternal, conscious torment in some sort of "hell." Here are verses showing the wicked will be destroyed and will not "be" anymore: "For yet a little while, and *_the wicked shall not be:_* yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be" (Psalms 37:10). "When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that *_they shall be destroyed for ever"_* (Psalms 92:7). "The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but *_destruction_* shall be to the workers of iniquity" (Proverbs 10:29). "As the whirlwind passeth, *_so is the wicked no more:_* but the righteous is an everlasting foundation" (Proverbs 10:25). "Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth, That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds; Yet *_he shall perish for ever_* like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?" (Job 20:4-7). Even Satan will be destroyed: "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; *_therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee._* All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and *_never shalt thou be any more"_* (Ezekiel 28:17-19). The apostle Paul wrote, "For *_the wages of sin is death;_* but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Yes, the wages of sin is death, not eternal life in some sort of burning hellfire. We either perish through death, or we receive the gift of eternal life: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not *_perish,_* but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Those are the two alternatives; we perish in death, or else we receive the gift of eternal life. You either receive eternal life as a gift from God, or you perish: you cease to exist because you haven't received eternal life. ************************* Salvation is not about *_where_* you'll spend eternity. You won't even *_have_* an eternity - of any sort, anywhere - unless God chooses to give you the gift of eternal life!!! Otherwise, you'll perish in death. The "immortal soul" is a lie passed down from pagan religion. *_If we were immortal, God would not need to give us eternal life._* And remember, God put the first couple out of the Garden so they would NOT eat of the tree of life and so live forever. Apparently they did not have immortality. We still DO NOT have immortality. Take away the "immortal soul" error and there is no longer need to "explain" where the immortal soul spends eternity! ************************* For anyone reading this who is undecided about the meaning of "hell" I recommend using a Bible search tool to find all the New Testament uses of "hell" and see what Greek word "hell" was translated from. You'll discover that "hell" in the KJV NT appears 23 times and was translated from three different original Greek words, ( _geenna, hades_ and _tartaroo_ ) each of which has a different meaning! That's where a lot of today's confusion begins! Look into it! You'll find that later versions of the Bible actually corrected some of the KJV errors in this regard, for example, correctly translating the Greek _hades_ as the "grave" instead of "hell." Young's Literal Translation (YLT) does not even use the word "hell". It translates the Greek _hades_ as "grave," and translates the Greek _geena_ as "gehenna." The Greek _geena_ referred to the dump just southeast of Jerusalem, where fire and maggots destroyed city's refuse. Jesus likened the ultimate fate of the wicked to being thrown into Jerusalem's dump, into "gehenna fire," for destruction. ps: check my YT channel for a video *_Hell and the Immortal Soul_* explaining this in detail

Isaiah 45:21-25 21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. 22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. 24 Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. 25 In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. Now lets dissect this >a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. >Look unto me, and be ye saved, what is Isaiah 45:21-25 about? Salvation. >23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. God says he is a savior, and then he commands everyone to turn to him and be saved, and then he says that this proclamation will not return void. It will happen. Everyone will turn to God and be saved. God has willed it, it will happen. >That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. 24 Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength Everyone who ever lived is going to turn to God and be saved. They will swear allegiance to God, and say in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. People admit that every knee will bow, but not every knee that bows is saved. Friends every knee that bows is saved! Every knee that bows is IN THE LORD. If you are in Christ you are a christian Every knee that bows has 1 Righteousness 2 Strength If they have righteousness, they have been justified if they are justified they are saved >even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. everyone comes back to God, the wicked are ashamed, and repent and swear allegiance to God. if you swear allegiance to God, then God is your Master , and you are his slave. EVERY KNEE WILL BOW AND SWEAR ALLEGIANCE Jesus is their LORD, and if Jesus is their LORD then they are his slaves. You can accept that ever knee shall bow, why cant you accept that every knee is saved? Every knee that bows swears allegiance to God to obey him. These are not vain words, this is not God getting the last laugh. >25 In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. mate, who is the Israelite? He who believes that Jesus is the Christ! If you are in Christ, you are an Israelite by faith. All of Israel will be justified and shall glory. And who is all of Israel? All who believe. and who will believe? ALL MANKIND. "I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed," - God All the nations of the earth shall be blessed because through Jesus all the nations of the earth will become Israelites. Everyone who ever lived will be an Israelite because everyone who ever lived will one day believe and those who believe are those who are in Christ. Henceforth Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is LORD Jesus must reigh until he hath put all his enemies under his feet. Jesus must reign till all his enemies bow the knee and swear allegiance to him. Those that swear allegiance to Jesus OBEY Jesus. Everyone will come to Christ. Every knee that bows WILL BE SAVED! Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord … Romans 10:9-10 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit. Philippians 3:21, "Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue ALL THINGS unto himself." Jesus is able to get every knee to bow to him and is able to subdue ALL THINGS, that is EVERYONE UNTO himself. Why are they being subdued UNTO Jesus? Jesus is bringing them into submission to UNTO him. Jesus will make them repent and believe the gospel If they are subdued they are subjected, if they are subjected they obey, and what is Jesus's command? To repent and believe the gospel Why dont people believe this? They believe hell is eternal, get rid of spending eternity in hell, and all of a sudden you can see the hope and the GLORY of the gospel. If there a hell? Yes, nevertheless they shall be saved, but so as through fire. You will not get out till you have paid the last penny- Jesus in Matthew 5:26 proof that hell is not forever, the reason it says so in most bibles is a mistranslation of the words olam, aion, aionios www.hopebeyondhell.net/articles/further-study/eternity/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/what-is-aionios-life/ makepeacewithjesus.org/7-the-septuagint-part-2 www.askelm.com/doctrine/d041101.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d041201.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d050101.htm www.tentmaker.org/Quotes/churchfathersquotes.htm What happens to us when we die (we cease to exist, dead people are not conscious whatsoever) www.askelm.com/essentials/ess022a.htm godsplanforall.com/free-online-book/part-iii/chapter-23-do-we-have-an-immortal-soul/ godskingdom.org/studies/tracts/how-death-affects-your-body-soul-and-spirit thathappyexpectation.blogspot.com/2015/05/pauls-gospel-and-death-denying.html bible-truths.com/death.htm bible-truths.com/lake16-A.html bible-truths.com/lake16-B.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoqjvMGOhbjHoNo.html All of Jesus died on that cross, his body, his soul, his spirit www.askelm.com/essentials/ess018a.htm the Rich Man and Lazarus is a parable, here is an explanation of the parable bible-truths.com/lazarus.html godsplanforall.com/free-online-book/part-ii/chapter-19-the-rich-man-and-lazarus/ godskingdom.org/studies/tracts/gods-marvelous-plan-for-creation-part-3-the-rich-man-and-lazarus www.askelm.com/doctrine/d030602.htm Why certain doctrines contradict the gospel (trinity, free will, eternal torment, going to heaven/hell immediately after you die instead of waiting for the resurrection, the immortality of the soul ) thathappyexpectation.blogspot.com/2015/05/pauls-gospel-and-death-denying.html martinzender.com/ZWTF/ZWTF4.29.pdf predestination, free will, and the problem of evil (we have no free will, God is in control of our wills, God created evil, however evil will not last forever, once evil has served its job it will be done away with, the good it produces will last forever) bible-truths.com/lake2.html bible-truths.com/lake15.html www.iswasandwillbe.com/is-evil-good/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/ecc_1_12_18/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/prophecy-of-isaiah-isa-451-7-i-make-peace-and-create-evil-i-the-lord-do-all-these-things/ godskingdom.org/studies/books/the-problem-of-evil/chapter-1-the-problem-with-free-will godsplanforall.com/free-online-book/part-iii/chapter-25-why-god-allows-evil-and-suffering/ www.martinzender.com/ZWTF/ZWTF2.6.pdf www.askelm.com/doctrine/d950101.htm askelm.com/doctrine/d031002.htm the eventual destiny of humanity, we all all become God's children and live with him forever, check out the byte show interviews and audios www.askelm.com/abc/abc002.asp www.askelm.com/abc/abc003.asp www.askelm.com/essentials/ess033.htm www.askelm.com/essentials/ess035.htm www.askelm.com/essentials/ess036.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d040101.htm www.askelm.com/doctrine/d920501.pdf other general links The guys below teach the 2 gospels truth www.concordant.org/ martinzender.com/ www.biblestudentsnotebook.com/ www.studyshelf.com/videos/ thathappyexpectation.blogspot.com/ www.gracetruth.co.uk/ The guys below mix the two gospel into one, but their is much truth here bible-truths.com/ www.askelm.com/ saviourofall.org/ www.iswasandwillbe.com/ godskingdom.org/ godsplanforall.com/ tentmaker.org/ makepeacewithjesus.org/ Save the links to a notepad documents and bookmark them for further reading.

This is so wrong in so many ways. Hell is a place of punishment for sin, not the sin itself. In the last day every knee will bow. All will acknowledge Him as Lord. And many will grieve that they chose poorly in this life as they are cast into the fire

Every human that died is garanteed Salvation by Jesus! The bible says so! 1 Corinthians 15:22-28 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. >For as in Adam all die [that's everyone you believe this] >even so in Christ shall all be made alive [you do not believe this, its the same everyone that died in Adam] The same all that died in Adam, are the same all that are made alive in Christ (v22)! To be made alive is to be made immortal, and they are made immortal in Christ, if you are in Christ you are a Christian. Lets talk about that word subdued/ subject in verse28, its the same word in the greek. upotassw Strongs Number: G5293 It means: 1) to arrange under, to subordinate 2) to subject, put in subjection 3) to subject one's self, obey 4) to submit to one's control 5) to yield to one's admonition or advice 6) to obey, be subject Everything that is put in subjection unto Jesus, OBEYS JESUS. Jesus is their Lord. They are his slaves. Everyone will eventually be Jesus slave. If you are a slave of Jesus, you are a christian (see Romans 1:1, Paul is a slave of Jesus and James 1:1, James a slave of God and of Jesus). Notice who Jesus is subjecting? IT IS THE ENEMIES! Jesus is subjecting his enemies! > that God may be all in all. God is going to be all in all, which all? I love and admire Tim, but this teaching is wrong. The wicked will be annihilated, not tortured forever by their guilty consciences. No one can make themselves more caring about others. Only Jesus saves. The wages of sin is death. He payed the price. We will love others more when we surrender to His will. Then our hearts will change. But we will still sin. And we need to always remember that. Jesus saves.
