*Manziel was a very exciting performer to watch. *Winston was the best Freshman QB passer I'd ever seen - I watched his 1st start againt Pitt - 25 for 27 with 4 tds- crazy. *Lamar was the most electric running QB I'd seen - esp. that jump over the Syracuse defender. *and Mayfield planting the flag vs. Ohio St. was the craziest thing ever.

Mariota wildly underrated in college. Arguably one of the best QBs in CFB history.

Bryce Young is next! He sealed the deal with the game tying 97 yard TD drive at Auburn and his 422 yard 3 TD passes and 40 rushing yards and a TD effort against Georgia. 4300+ yards, 43 TDs, 4 Int's, and 4 rushing TDs for the season

@Davis Porter game manager QBs can win championships with great teams (just ask Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron, Jake Coker for example) but not Heismans, not without eye popping stats. Hell, Mac Jones was legit and could have won it in 2020 with the stats he had in 13 games with 4500 yards 43 TDs, which Bryce just did beat out in 15 games in 2021 with 4800+ and 47 TDs with a new OC, but Devonta Smith was just lethal as a WR with so many eye popping catches and plays. I ain't really upset, with the second youngest team in the country in game experience coming in, I didn't expect the Tide to get as far as they did. But they should be serious contenders this fall with a sharper focus. That's just what I expect from a Saban coached team coming off a national championship game loss. Schedule looks rough though.

Though that was a good play from Henry, I thought it was going to be him banishing someone to the shadow realm. Also, I know it was multiple seasons before, but Devonta's walk-off ot td reception in the natty vs Georgia was wacky.

I thought Henry's most impressive play was stiff arming a 300 LB D-line man into a somersault on a TD run vs Michigan State in the playoffs that they won 38-0, even though he'd already won the Heisman.

Jameis had 3 Heisman worthy plays in 3 straight weeks. His off balance throw after escaping the sack against Bethune Cookman; the Hail Mary against BC; and another escaped sack TD throw against Maryland.

The amount of fouls in these plays is astounding. They really do let certain fam do whatever they want. Literally Derek Henry’s might be the only one without a foul to achieve.

The craziest thing about Joe Burrow’s insane 2019, is it’s now the second best season by a QB in CFB history, WKU’s QB just broke the records on a team with way less talent. Joe Burrow had the absolute toughest schedule and that’s why his is so important, I’ve NEVER seen a QB dominate literally everybody like that

They rushed 3 and had 8 guys drop into Zone Coverage , it was good protection because it was 5 on 3 , if anything it showed Kyler can find the open spots in a zone , considering 8 out of 11 guys were out in coverage

Still can’t believe Trevor Lawrence didn’t get a heisman and he did crazy numbers and crazy plays like the run vs Ohio state to lead a comeback was crazy

Honestly because Saban was pulling Tua in the 3 rd quarter and kyler was having to play all game he saved them that yr against someone I think army otherwise I don’t think anyone could have touched Tuas numbers but I also think that’s what got him hurt the next yr

Henson Hooker was really good, I think if his team would’ve went 1 loss or 0 losses after the championship game or even if they lost to an sec west opponent and wasn’t able to make it to the championship, I believe he would be headed to New York.

Unpopular opinion: Jackson was not a Heisman-worthy college quarterback. He only won because there were no better options that year.
