    “Now I’m feeling strangely calm, am I accepting death?” No, you’ve just fallen into the trancelike state Heilung’s music can induce at times. “Yeah, at some point I swapped from being terrified to being a part of it.” That’s what Heilung does. They call to something very primal buried deep within us all and remind us that We Are All One. Heilung means “healing.” Welcome, brother.

    I cried the first time I heard this song, I hadn't felt something touch my soul in such a way in so long. The song is a prayer to Odin, they recite all his names and things related to him.

    Heilung is an experimental folk music band made up of members from Denmark, Norway, and Germany. Their music is based on texts and runic inscriptions from Germanic peoples of the Iron Age, and Viking Age. Heilung describe their music as "amplified history from early medieval northern Europe". Their music is usually about Germanic deities, The Jǫtnar, and valkyries. I guess it a bit of an acquired taste but as soon as you let the music crawl under your skin you are hooked forever. I would recommend you to react to Anoana from their latest album and Norupo - both have really high production and quality videos. But there's something magical about their live performance videos and they rightfully call them "rituals" instead of "concerts". "Remember, that we all are brothers All people, beasts, trees and stone and wind We all descend from the one great being That was always there Before people lived and named it Before the first seed sprouted"

    This song is called Alfadhirhaiti - names of the all father. In the first part of the song the warriors' spears are dedicated to the service of Odin. In the second part all Odin's various names and titles are chanted over and over again.

    Heilung isn’t a German band. The members are from Norway, Denmark and Germany. It’s called amplified history. The whole concert is epic. In Maidjan. To hear the excellent vocal qualities of Maria Franz, the female singer. Krigsgaldir Othan Hamrer hippyer

  • @shae899
    @shae899 Жыл бұрын

    The Ravanahatha Maria is playing is from another country but employed because it's the oldest known string instrument to be played with a bow. At the time of this concert it was strung with the hair of the artisan's daughter.

    Halloween 2022, I was Maria Franz, and I showed up to work dressed as her... full makeup and everything. I was blasting this song when I drove to work and was at 2:55 when I got into the parking lot. I think I scared a few customers because I was singing along and Maria's makeup is kind of crazy to those who don't know of her. If you think this one's nuts, they close with Hamrer Hippyer, however, you need to hear Maria's beautiful voice in Krigsgaldr.
