At one point of my musical journey, I would of been considered an Elitist. I just liked what I liked. But as I've gotten older I've realized there's alot of great music out there, and I want to find it! Thank You for bearing with me on the beginning stages of this channel. Feel free to request any song.

Its a bit of a Text, but found the Meaning about that Song,so you could better Understand,of what they are Singing in the song. Cause its mostly Old proto Germanic The title itself can be found in Mœso-Gothic Glossary from Anglo-Saxon as "In-Maidjan" which means "to change deceitfully" or "to corrupt". This makes sense since the entire story within Heilung's album consists of a peaceful village being corrupted by having to go to war. Therefore, Proto-Germanic seems to be the language this is from. "Harigasti Teiwa" is a Germanic reference to the Negau Helmet that contains various inscriptions including the words "harigasti teiwa(z)" which means "Harigast the priest". Though it could also mean "war god" since "hari" can be translated to war/warbringer, "gasti" as guest/person, and "teiwa(z)" as "god". Teiwa(z) (spelled as Tiwaz) is also the proto-Germanic name for the Norse God, Týr. For the sake of the song's theme, I went with "Come, guest Tyr" as this line was about invoking a God for war. Part of "Ek Erilaz Owlthuthewaz Niwaremariz Saawilagar Hateka Harja" can be found in the Lindholm Amulet where the line "ekerilazsa[w]ilagazhateka" or "Ek erilaz Sawilagaz haite'ka" is carved. Based on what wikipedia says about this: "This translates to "I am (an) erilaz (a rune master), I am called the wily" (or "I am called Sawilagaz). If the word in first line is translated as a name, Sawilagaz means "the one of the Sun (Sowilo)." If the word is translated as "the wily" or "crafty one" or "deceitful one," then it may be related to a byname of Odin or another god." We can use this to help translate. "Harja" from Anglo-Saxon means "army". "Ha Hu Hi He Ho He Hi Ha Hu" means nothing other than a chanting. The next bit are just names for Old Norse runes from the elder futhark, also known as the rune chant. They hold no particular meaning together in a sentence and instead are just supposed to be individual names. I did translate the runes in the chant based off their meanings but, again, did not put them into a sentence considering that that would be like trying to say the alphabet as a sentence. Note: certain runes (such as Ingwaz (Ing) and Perthro) can have slightly different translations based on the source. "Wuotani Ruoperath" seems to mean "Odin, prepare for battle" in Old High German. "Au Is Urki" (actually Alu Is Urki) can be heard in the last line of their last song "Hamrer Hippyer" where it means "May it be of help" or "may it heal/stop them" in Old Norse. Though i wasn't able to find anything on the other lines in the last bit, so I only translated Alu Is Urki. Here Are the Runes Meaning, the text Mention Earlier Fehu Uruz Þurisaz Ansuz Raido Kenaz Gebo Wunjo Hagal Naudiz Isa Jera Eihwaz Perþo Algiz Sowelu Tiwaz Berkano Ehwaz Mannaz Laguz Ingwaz Dagaz Oþala Wealth, Aurochs, Thorn, Divine Breath, Travel, Torch, Gift, Joy, Hail, Need, Ice, Harvest, Tree, Luck, Elk, Sun, Creator, Birch tree Horse, Man, Water, Fertility, Day, Home Also Keep Going that Great Reaction.

They just say the elder Futhark in it's correct order, they basically chant the alphabet except that Dagaz and Othala are changed for the song. The elder Futhark often says Othala first and then followed by Dagaz. Every rune has it's own meaning though, so even if you are just chanting an old alphabet it could still mean a lot. :)

The runes are proto-Germanic, and are chanted in that language. The old Norse elder FUÞARK runes sound a lot different, and contain fewer of them. Eiwaz, perthro/perþ/peorth, ingwaz, dagaz and oþala do not exist in the old Norse set.

Thank you for reacting to this song! Heilung was such a discover for me. The 1st time I listened to it, I was living a true nightmare after a S.A. and thinking a lot to unalive myself. This song, especially, evoked something inside me, some urge to live and fight for my own soul, like NOTHING else did before. And every time I listen to it, moreover when things go south in life, I feel like it rekindles the embers inside my heart and makes me feel alive again. Heilung makes justice to their name: it's a healing music, an otherworldly experience. ❤ Edit: just like you, I am sick of ppl telling what anyone has to do. I love your reactions to Heilung. It makes me listen like I never heard the song before. So thank you for that. About what you said about the pressure you feel. I have a little story from my own life. After the performances with our group of people with braindamage, we always sit down for a meet and greet. And there was this gentleman who asked "do you ever feel like a loser"? It was a crude but at the same time a very good question. Having a disability does mean that a lot of people believe you are worthless. I had to work so hard to regain the things I took for granted, walking, talking, peeling potatoes. I did lose things I thought I really needed. My job, my partner, the house we lived in. I spend time to mourn these losses. I went to fysical and mental therapy. And I came out on the other side to discover a kinder, better, more patient and happier me. Someone I actually like a lot. Yes, I do not have a lot of money. Guess what, I don't need as much as I used to think I needed. I had to let go of that pressure because of my dissability. It made me a better person with a much happier life. So do I feel like a loser? Not at all. in a strange way I do feel like a won the lottery, through a dark and gloomy maze, I won't deny that. But nevertheless. I feel like a winner.

There is a great video of both Maria and Christopher together in a studio recorded video of a traditional Scandinavian song sung in Norweigian called "ULVETIME meaning (Hour of the Wolf) .. Just the right song for me today, In Maidjan is a beautiful song and so full of meaning for me, the main repeated chant is the Eldar Futharc which is the Norse Runes, the only source of ancient writing we have in Northern Europe. I had a bit of a meltdown shopping earlier (fortunately my local Sainsbury's has a care plan in place for me) But I am feeling shaky still. So perfect song as I said. I do not think there is a Heilung song that does not mean something to me. Big Love Bro Heilungs costumes are made of Rawhide, bones of animals and natural fallen wood, they ahve had issues getting into some countries because of the costumes and instruments which are also made of the same things, I think in the States it was the fact that there are 3 human bones used either as drum beaters or small timpani.

It's weird to me, but somehow makes absolute perfect sense, that I can hear things in Heilung's music that are similar to various traditions from around the world. At times the low drone of the Celtic throat singing sounds like a didgeridoo, other times it reminds me of Tibetan throat singing. Some of the musical phrasing and dynamics to Maria's singing reminds me of north American native music, other times it's closer to eastern European traditional singing. Percussion with natural materials is pretty much a given in any human civilization throughout history... I honestly believe that's why so many people react so viscerally to Heilung's music: it's deeply human without regard to borders or time. And then there's the huge difference between what the day to day world we're currently living in is like versus how it was for our ancestors for thousands and thousands of years. Heilung's music briefly strips all the modern BS away and we can take a brief moment to return to what life used to be.

Heilung really are an experience. I was listening to this as I was puttering away in the kitchen. I have certain cd's that I play just for that reason. I can listen and daydream while doing mindless work. Thank you for your very varied music. Now, on another note. That little bit of personal you shared at the end, reminded me of this poem I have shared with people many times over the years. Maybe it will speak to you as well: GESTALT PRAYER I do my thing and you do your thing. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, And you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful. If not, it can't be helped. - Fritz Perls, 1969

I rarely get emotional about anything, but in all your heilung é wardruna reactions it moves me, you may get tired of reading, but I will never get tired of saying, you are sincere, realistic, authentic, you can convey your feelings and thoughts in an incredible way, the moments when you pause what you are saying to formulate a thought make me very happy, because it shows that you don't say anything without thinking, this is rare nowadays, my friend, I am extremely happy regardless of your belief or religion, you can feel the healing of heilung, you have touched on a point in this reaction that is so valid, everyone is always shouting about what we should do, how we should live, what we have to have to be happy while in reality, everything we need is around us, because of this greed and this urgency that people impose on us, many people go hungry, they are needs, life is so beautiful when our biggest priority is not material goods, but our well-being. Being is the well-being of those around us, whether with simple or even more complex things, but this only applies if it makes you happy. I don't know if something is stopping you, but if you can, share with us your mental thoughts about the things you believe in and also as one of the reactions share life experiences that come to mind when you listen to some music.

Intro : The Flint Age version of a 4 on the floor Chug. Coz, I hope you are doing well. "Interesting points in a life" can be a wide range of things. May yours be manageable. Perhaps a primal howl would be medicinal. ... I'll get right on that script for ya. Sorry. I'm not trying to make fun of you spot in life. For the past week I've quietly tried to figure out what has taken you in this quieter, perhaps darker direction. No luck. I'm no clairvoyant. I can't even read my own mind sometimes. I was going to tell the story of Belle and Farfel, my two dear departed Blue Heelers. They'd developed a very repeatable 'song' they sang whenever Jan or I would leave the house. It was like a 'Farewell family, come back soon' -type of thing. Eventually, I found a part in that song I could howl er sing. When Farfel died, then Belle and I carried on the Family song. And when Belle finally past, I was left to sing it alone. Find some good friends, and sing to their lives. Sing to remember who they are. If you can, record it. For it is how your children, and the children of your friends, will know of the great group you were a part of. Your song can outlive you. It can retell the rules by which you chose to live. You can make it the rule by which you wish to be measured. (good grief... where did all THAT come from??? Channeling Inner Creep Me. I dare say.) Enjoy life.

This band did something to me, it changed me, i do not have religions, i do not believe in what the media and the world has been feeding us all this time, it's what the lyrics say in this one Tool song Third eye says in the beginning: "Think for yourself, question authority. Think for yourself, question authority. Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself, you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. Think for yourself, question authority. Think for yourself, question authority. Think for yourself, question authority. Think for yourself... Think for yourself... Order... Regulations... Rules... Think for yourself, question authority.

I love Heilung so much. I think alot of what they represent, at least for me, is that we have gotten so wrapped up in the daily slog, not just in america but especially here, that we've forgotten what being alive really is. it's not bills or politics or religion or society. It's feeling, screaming, crying, dancing, breathing. It's dying and being born. All we really have at the end of everything is the raw reality of our own firsthand experience, and we waste so much of our short lives fighting losing battles for little to no reward and asking all the wrong questions. "why" matters much less than being present in the now, and doing your best to make the now worth living in.

No lie had a conversation about this with a dear friend. I told them that I was laying in bed the night before, and I'm very aware of the rat race of life we get stuck in. I see it even in my own life, and I was just laying there and kept telling myself "Dude, you gotta wake up from this. You gotta break away from this." So I resonate with what you said so clearly. I agree, we are chasing false fulfillment and we just keep poisoning ourselves. Its wild. But, I think we are waking up...we have to.

I rarely write comments in general, but I see and I like how your transformations are happening thanks to Heilung. I love what they do too and there is definitely a lot of power there. A few words of context about mewself, I'm currently training to be a gestalt psychologist, and some people say already, that I have enough sensitivity to even become a "shaman". There are approaches on the edge of esoteric which involve shamanic practices, which actually work (have seen a few cases when "rituals" can change things in people). So, back to Heilung. Kai, the guy with horns, is a kind of a "certified shaman", and the main driver of that band. He can deal with very thin matters, which might not be felt by every person (regardless of that people do feel strong stuff, and for some it is very scary). By your reaction I can say that you also feel that thin flow which are provided by their performances, and as a lot of people say, "their rituals", which is really a rituals after all. Some of your other comments in other reaction videos suggest that this is due to you being close to nature yourself. I may try to explain what is going on on your side when you listen to that, or let's say "participate in those rituals". It seems to me that you really start to feel yourself, the feel of life itself. And I really hope that you could use that opportunity to change your quality of life towards the better. You may even consider to try psychotherapy in order to figure out what exactly is going on in your life and make it even better for yourself and surrounding people.

Those things that you speak of that scream at us, are literal spells, real dark, carnal, magic. They are designed to steal the essence of human life from us by convincing us to give it up freely. But Heilung will help and break those spells. This music has a way of making one reevaluate things in life, tears some layers off, go to the roots and then grow back again anew, stronger. Fun fact human blood can charge a battery, we are powerful beings. Whenever you are down Wolf remember that. There's a war been going on for ages. Time to take your power back!

Man I feel maybe the thing your trying to say is your lost.... Maybe. So in my twenties I kinda just rolled through life... Living life etc the day I turned 30 I felt lost, like I felt like I knew nothing, but often thought "nothing of what?" like I worked, paid bills, got married and had children but when I hit 30 things began to decline not in general life but spiritually, I had nothing to believe in so after much thought I decided to go on a personal journey to discover information on religion and faith. I read the bible, I looked into the quran, I looked into budism but none of which fulfilled what I was searching for I just cannot believe in these beliefs especially the first 2 however now I'm 36 and I began meditating which I've had some mad shit happen whilst in a deep state of meditation but put it this way I belive in spirituality and I can interpret my way and practice my way. I used to fear death but now embrace it as apart of life like going full circle. I used to fear growing old but knowledge keeps you young constantly learning and discovering. SORRY this was so long just a little of my experience on this journey of discovery and discovering new music is very much apart of it. Also my friend money is certainly not what's important, it sounds cliche but to me false troubles involve money. Peace brother. Live transparently and smile, smile as much as you can and watch how many you get in return, its contagious ❤
