There are no easy heats among the Challenger Series elite and the Ballito Pro presented by O’Neill provided heavyweight battles with men’s top seeds debuting. Levi Slawson and Hiroto Ohhara dealt out heavy blows to their top-seeded opponents with Slawson notching the event’s highest heat total after Ohhara’s impressive showcase. But, former CTers flexed their experience with Nat Young, Morgan Cibilic, and Jacob Willcox posting clutch Round of 64 wins. Heavy upsets already unraveling and we’re only into Day 2 at Ballito with the women’s upper echelon ready to get started when competition resumes.
