Jahred doesn’t understand how important him and HED PE are to the scene Living legend 🔥💯
@TheBridgesYouBurn

Nah, trust me he understands. He is just a cool, mature, humble dude and I applaud him for that. He seems to have a good head on his shoulder. When Jonathan Davis tells you your band is underrated and tries to give you a record deal that alone is enough to make history in the music business.

The first 3 HED PE albums are legendary, I can’t get enough of those albums, still love them to this day.

Same here bro, and me and my son bonded over the Hed shows we used to frequent
The best show I've ever been to was my first (HED)p.e. show. It was like 98 at a club called bojangles in Sacramento. I had no idea who they were. The crowd was sandwiched in, and when they started playing Ken 2012, the crowd blew up! Everyone was pogoing! Even if you didn't want to, you had no choice because the crowd was so packed. There was condensation dripping from the ceiling! The girls that brought me locked their keys in the car, and by chance, the band came out and helped break into their car, lol. Forever a fan Jahred! Thanks for rocking my world!
I’m from the U.K. and saw Hedpe back when they first you’re the U.K. with Papa Roach in the early 2000’s. Hedpe were supporting Papa Roach which is the main reason I went to the gig. I randomly bumped into Jared whilst coming out of the toilet at the Astoria. We had a brief chat, such a chill guy.
I took my son to his first concert 13 years ago. Hed P.e. was opening and after the show, Jared saw my 12 year old son and said " what's little man doing here"?. I told him it was his first show and he said" well then let's make it memorable ". He took my son backstage and he got pictures and autographs with all of the bands. He ended up giving him some shirts and a huge poster with all of the bands signatures. It was something he'll never forget. Jahred was just as humble and generous as it gets. Thanks for sharing.
I always thought Hed pe were huge back in the day just from hearing them everywhere in clubs, the tours they’d do etc. Criminally underrated, but I hope Jahred knows how influential the band is. Chad is awesome and is always posting retro Hed pe videos & memories. I would love to see Chad and Jahred reunite for a show/album! 🤟🏾

Love when you get the older cats on the podcast. I’m 44 So bands like hed, korn, limp, yada yada yada are my all time faves.
Around 15 or 16 years old, my uncle took me to Ozzfest 99. I was mostly there for Black Sabbath and Slayer but was also a fan of Slipknot, (hed) P.E. and tons of others there. I bought a (hed) P.E. shirt at the merch stand and immediately threw it on. My uncle and I were chilling near the main stage waiting for Primus I think when a piece of ice hit me in my back. I turned around and this dude in shades had a big ol' grin on his face while he motioned me to come up. It was B.C. the original drummer for (hed) P.E. He thanked me for supporting their band, I nerded out a bit and we briefly chatted. I was just an awkward Midwestern teenage nerd yet he took the time out to talk to me and made me a fan forever despite growing out of this scene pretty quickly a year or so later. I hope B.C. is living well these days.

Absolutely top interview. Hed pe has been major part of my music life for over 20 years and this 1 hour and 20 minutes just added to that. Jahred top top dude and still giving us great new music in 2023.... may it continue!
For Jahred to be looking like a voodoo priest who can summon incantations with his dreads back in the day, He seem a pretty cool and happy dude now.. props to him for still being active to this day, Hed PE has one of the raddest tunes 🤘🏽 TY Chris G 🎸
i'm such a huge fan of (hed) p.e... i'm a death metal guy who grew up on nu metal and just found this band a couple years ago and it became in my top 3 favorite bands. definitely doesn't get the respect it deserve. truly underrated. me and my girlfriend listen to them all the time. the first album was a musical phenomenon and so innovative. i love all their stuff and im so glad to finally see someone give (hed) p.e. the respect they deserve. thank you garza and jared

Welcome to the club! I love this band so much I have the "skull n cross bones" on my leg!
This was a great convo. I love when veterans like Jared give super candid and honest answers as opposed to the canned ones you get from guys who’ve been around for so long. You also did a great job as a host. Clearly did your homework and asked pointed but tactful questions. High fives and sport taps all around fellas 🙌🙌
Jahred has long been one of the realist in the industry and one of my favorites. Love that dude. A true OG
Good job getting jahred on the pod. Always fun to hear his thoughts on life and the universe 👽🤘 Nu metal should be celebrated by bands because fans made the scene for the bands. It saved many people's lives that's a fact.
Damn, Jahred is such a humble dude. I was deep into Hed PE back in the Self Titled and Broke era, and it is great to see him being so down to earth after such a long time in the industry. Great interview. And Jahred, you saying you want to find another revenue stream...My guy, podcasting is sitting there waiting for you man. You are built for it.
Love this interview. Hed PE is criminally underrated band that I really love back in the nu metal era. One of the first that mixed reggae (aside from Skindred) in their music. Jared is a cool dude to have conversations with. Happy Garza was able to invite him in his podcast.
Great Guest!! Favorite record is "Made In Amerika" because of the energy they brought at that time.I definitely think of they had been marketed better they could've been as big as Bizkit,Korn,Deftones, (even at a lesser level Crazy Town or Adema) but,I guess it wasn't meant to be. 🤷🏼♂️ GaRza You're doing a great job keeping the conversation engaging & interesting (which most podcasts seem to drag after a while). Keep doing your thing bro & I wish you continued success.
Huge huge fan of Hed PE! Me and my girl just got through doing a photo shoot with them at Houston and they’re the sweetest dudes 💙
Broke, Blackout and Only in Amerika are amazing albums. I was also pleasantly surprised with Stampede, it’s so different from the last few years of their discography. Anyone listened to 70’s hits from the pit?
Hed P.E. was always under appreciated. They deserved to have been Bizkit big, but always were forced stand in the shadows; love both.

I’ve opened for Hed PE a couple times over the years. Jared has always been on the grind and the lineup of guys they have currently sound great. Shout out to them for giving smaller band’s opportunities 🤘

I will never forget getting the first Hed album and just skateboarding non stop listening to it. Jahred is HED, I am always willing to give new material a listen all these years later. Rock on man, your hustle and non stop attitude for all these years is inspiring.
I love your voice so much!! I heard my first hed pe song in '05 and you have a life long fan in me!! I'm a mom now and my kids are finally getting old enough to appreciate the music too.
Thank you for interviewing Jahred. Amazing band HED PE and i've listened to them since the beginning. Really glad they are still producing
Legendary!!! The biggest inspiration 🔥 so glad we got a tune in the books 🥂 great interview!!
First 3 albums were bad ass. Definetly made the scene
This is great! Got J to sign my ticket stub during the X Fest Cleveland show, happy I got to see them in the Broke era. Them, Staind & Cold headlined.
Hed p.e shaped my adolescence 20 years ago. To this day, he accompanies me every day (in my car, when i ride MTB dh, work...). Love u guys.
I met Jared at an Allentown pa. Show some years back.. he commented on the shirt I was wearing it said "irish drinking team" he basically said it was downputting the Irish and I thought it was rude but he made me think about alot of things we all do that make no sense. It really opened my eyes and showed how genuine a guy he is... thank you sir
I would just to mention how much I appreciate seeing Garza take notes in a notebook. To me shows tremendous respect for the person you're talking with. You don't see that much and it's really cool.
Hed has been my favorite band since 'Broke', I love that they make all kinds of different styled songs and it's not always amazing material but it's different and not many bands can blend together all the genres into a mold the way Hed does. I very much appreciate this interview Garza! OneLove Famo 🍻
Great stories from Jahred. Love HED PE. Another good episode Chris.
Hed pe is the sh!$ been listening to them since I was 17 I'm 35 now and they are still putting out bangers
Bro, you are a really cool dude! I'm glad to have met you!
I saw these guys at a tech and KMK show in Medford Oregon decades ago. It was incredible. They were the best part of the show!
I can't say this band is my cup of tea but this singer has always seemed like an interesting guy to say the least haha. I still look forward to watching. Also, I can't thank you enough for introducing me to Iya Terra. I've been down a rabbit hole of their stuff ever since you had Nathan on. Love your show!

Hed p.e. definitely had a huge impact on my life. These dudes will never be forgotten! 🤘
Such a huge influence for me. My whole style of drumming is based around the first Hed PE album. Such a perfect blend of real hip hop, punk and metal
I feel like HED P.E was such an awesome band at the time they came out but not as popular as all the others in the genre. I love hed pe!
I still to this day listen to the first hed pe album. The album was so aggressive and was one album you listened to and felt like you were at a show.
Talking about life changing shows and bands. SYTEM OF A DOWN, ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS. I saw Suicidal Tendencies in Santa Fe NM in 96, or 97. HedPe was opening. fucken 2 drumers, there was like 8 people on stage, and it blew my Fkn mind. Ever since, die hard fan. I turned my son onto them, we used to go to Hed shows in Albuquerque on the regular. Life changing, thanks J. G. Much love brudda, u have inspired me in so many ways, especially with my addictions, u gave me strength
Saw (Hed) p.e last night live open for nonpoint. Blown away by this guy and the entire band’s performance. Just wow. His vocals live are fucking NUTS. Had the whole room in total chaos🤣
What a great interview! Hed has been a favorite of mine for the past 20 years! Timeless records 🔥 🔥 🔥
I've been listening to Broke for 25 years in a row. thanx Jared.
Now this is a nice fucking surprise! You rule man been watching since RoSS Robinson was on here and this is far over due you have a great platform thank you for putting the one and only legend himself on it!!!

I became completely star struck when Jahred was walking around the Rave/Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee back in the late '90s. I nearly backed into him and near the bar and froze. I still regret not finding the courage to say "hello and thank you for sharing your art".
So glad to hear Jahred tell his history. Would love to hear him on the pod again.
Love (HED) P.E. ...I Just recently went to HED show for the first time since the later 90's and although it wasn't as big as it used to be it still kicked ass. 🤘
Got their lyrics tattooed across my chest around 17. "I might be bleeding but I'm still breathing". Hed PE will always hold a special place in my heart. 🖤
Jahred has the best interviews. Raw and beneficial info.
met him 2001 at x-fest just walking out of the venue, hed pe was the main band i went to see, was epic to meet him and get an autograph. MCUD still on my playlist everyday 🤘
I first heard HED PE on Madden 2003. Suck it up played and i was HOOKED. Their first few albums are so cool. Saw them for the first time in a tiny bar years later with powerman 5k and knee high fox. Crazy times. Sound of the underground
Seen them like 20 times over the years. Amazing live show everytime
This man is so beautiful and important. His persistence and work ethic has inspired me a thousand times. I have total respect for him
I was at a Milwaukee show back in the day and (HED) P.E. started playing a Bob Marley cover. I instantly threw my lighter up in the air and Jahred pointed right at me. We were both wearing long sleeve Adidas shirts....it was a moment in time. One of those shows I'll never forget. Fan for life.
Hed pe was really a band that changed it all for me. They were uniquely different in the nu-metsl scene. I loved their fusion of styles and their vibe just kicked ass 🤘🤘🤘
It's funny to hear him talk about Korn's influence cause the first time I saw Hed was with Korn and Incubus in Miami. I was an instant fan. I saw them a second time was at ozz fest 99 in west palm, where Jahred came into the crowd after the show and smoked with me and the boys...It was awesome and one of my favorite memories .
Love Jahred! To me he is the most multifunctional singer out there - he can sing all the genres and make all the kinds of voices and noises :D
