I'm sad to say that I couldn't watch until the end, the interview was great and Louis was interesting and insightful as always. Lawrence honestly ruined this, he is the single reason I couldn't watch until the end. This screaming for attention with his jokes and constant interrupting was insufferable. This isn't just bad interviewer etiquette it's damn rude!. People are watching because they are interested in hearing what the person you are interviewing has to say, the spotlight should be on them so stop trying to jump in whenever they try to say anything whatsoever. I really hope that things change in future interviews. True Geordie, you did absolutely amazing man 👏, you clearly are a very talented and warm interviewer so thank you, genuinely. Louis made jokes back to him several times so it wasn't this pathetic vie for attention that you are making it out to be. You wanted a stuck up "Inside the Actors Studio" type interview and you didn't get it so you are taking it out on someone who is just doing his job the way Geordie hired him to do it. There are plenty of interviews with Louis that are exactly what you are looking for but this one isn't it and its probably not for you. Don't go to an ice cream shop and expect prime rib.

I've listened to this a few times now, as I do with most podcasts, and it's a great podcast. Brian has really really made himself into an absolute podcasting beast, very good questioning, and attempted to make the whole thing flow well. Lawrence, on the other hand, really needs to work on his timing and read the situation a bit better, instead of just almost losing control and feeling like he has to say something, especially when the guest is speaking and mid-conversation. At times, it felt almost cringy with Louis trying to get things back on track after Lawrence attempted to make a joke, which I don't think any of them hit well.

Lawrence is impatient and interupts a lot, but he drived a lot of the conversation on this one. Feel this is a bit disrespectful. He knew way more about Louis' work on this one and asked a lot of very valuable questions. He was clearly nervous here, it's very apparent Lawrence admires Louis.

@@liamk87 I’m not so sure, I agree with Lewis on this…. He made some pretty badly timed jokes, particularly in the first 1/3, but he had a lot to add, more than Brian imo, although Brian did bring some excellent questions and is an excellent interviewer in general, Lawrence really did a lot for this, you just have to look past some awkward moments. If you watch the mood, Louis does also engage with him a lot, and in terms of actual conversation and discussion, although not super common, I’d say the most engaged instances are between Lawrence and Louis, not with Brian. Overall I think Lawrence needs to hone his skill a lot more than Brian does, but to say he doesn’t have it is vastly missing talent

Louis is one of my all time favourite story makers. Absolute legend, and it's nice to see people from outside the UK loving him too. Years later I would see him live at The State Theater(Sydney, Australia) By this point I had seen alot of his documentaries including his one on Autism in America which has since become one of my favourites of his work. Been mildly austic myself I felt extremely sorry for these kids & their parents & Loui captures these stressful yet beautiful moments of these parents doing there best for their children despite the challenges they face.
