It's pretty cringe... Especially watching it on KZread. But people have to remember these were produced quite some time ago and the media landscape was a very different thing at the time. Still, cringe... Oh so very cringe 🤣

It's mixed, some of the truckers you see own their trucks and some of them are rented/leased

As a European, it is difficult for me to understand what is happening with these restrictions to leave the road at sunset? Trucks are not allowed to drive at night, or why??? So you can leave at sunrise and drive all day, but at sunset you have to stop??? well, a working day in these conditions can last 15 hours, in Australia there is no stable program by which the driving time of a driver is well determined by law? It is completely different from the European system, where you are allowed a maximum of 10 hours of driving, but you are not restricted by the presence of the sun, you drive at night without problems, and it is even better at night when the traffic is much lighter than during the day

Without drama it won't be interesting would it,if you never done trucking don't criticize

Well to be fair, driving multi combination heavy vehicles across remote Australian roads is a pretty dramatic job... But I'll agree, the old "reality TV" style of documentary feels very outdated in the world of KZread. There's a definite cringe factor to it lol. These were all filmed quite some time ago though, be getting close to a decade since these were produced.
