HEAVY DUTY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

To learn more about Mike Mentzer's teachings please visit: www.hituni.com/about/mike-men...
In this video, recorded at the end of Mike Mentzer’s seminar in Las Vegas in 1997, Mike answers questions about his training system such as:
Does the Heavy Duty Program change at all if used by someone who is using steroids?
If the last rep of a set taken to failure is what hits the growth switch, why not just do a single one-rep max?
How does he lay out his clients’ training schedule?
Thanks also to John Balik and Wayne Gallasch/GMV for allowing me to use their copyrighted images and videos in this video.

This guy seems like a scientist looking for the next answer to the problem, he was so excited for new discovery and refinement to his vision and making instant on the spot corrections, when he saw them, it's pretty cool.

This is fantastic John! I am secretly hoping there is more coming from this seminar. 😊Bill Philips is such a treat to hear, but the combination of anything with him and Mike is incredibly special. Thank you so much for preserving this and sharing it. Mike continues to look down and smile at what’s happening right now and I only hope we ascend out of the dark ages, as he would say, and into an Age of Enlightenment and understanding about these training fundamentals.

It's so great to hear that such a great man say than he is not infallible, what he did do over the course of data from clients improve his work out routine by investigating and use deep thought to work out the overlapping principles holding his clients back. Truly inspirational Man 😊

Ive been following Mikes methods for the last month. Ive actually got more leaner but at the same time got way stronger. I make sure I go to failure and pause/squeeze etc also focus on the negative.

I wish there was a film documentary about Mike Mentzer made in the style and movie running time of Arnold’s “Pumping Iron”; but I don’t even think that much media and documentation of Mike Mentzer even exists😢

Hello John littles! I really like the technique Mike Mentzer, it is logical and easy to smooth with, as they say "all genius is simple." Many say that you have to train every day, the other through the day, some even twice a day, etc. But I would like to draw attention to one point, look at the people who are almost every day doing all the heavy work, in particular the builders, they prevent the concrete, hauling stones, etc., often have you seen someone of the builders of the muscular, of course not, or it may be genetically predisposed. On the contrary, they are very exhausted. As I spent on the experiment itself, for 4 months, once a week on Saturdays, I worked at home construction prevents manual concrete, so I was constantly exhausted, as soon as I start to work less often, about every three weeks, I began to feel better. I now put the experimentation with squats once a month, just squat and nothing more, and don't be surprised if more often, I pretenious. I think if Mike were alive, he would be even more reduced training. Who ever thought about why animals zoo a greater mass than will, because they are moving less and rest more. It was all pretty simple, "the truth is somewhere nearby'.

I was doing the chest back routine because i was doing 8 to 9 hours of job so that i could fit 2 bodyworkouts in one day then the following day was rest day i have lowered my Volume and followed the 1 set rep to faliure routine and i am recovering soon

  • @Shamilt3

Ive adopted A. Push B. Pull rotating. Everything gets hit without overlap, and recovery is excellent. The A w.o is about 5 minutes longer than the pull w.o, both under an hr.
