People wonder how new recordings keep being released. It is because the owner of this channel has the copyright to all of Mentzers audio recordings. What a treasure trove!!

I knew very little about Mike Mentzer until recently. But the more I learn about him, the more I respect his extremely disciplined, cerebral approach to his craft. Videos like this are very helpful in communicating his principles to those of us who didn't encounter him until after he was gone.

Just want to say thank you Mr John Little for these videos they’ve helped me a ton, I image it was hard for Mike with all the backlashes from the community with the heavy duty style of training and what not but he stuck to the truth and never sold out. Heavy duty HIT works, I’ve trained this way for 2 months now with continuous progress I started a cut at the beginning of the year reduced 500 cal and I’m still going up on weight and reps every workout. Mike is a true legend and a good man who wanted better for himself and the world around him much respect. My only regret is not coming across this channel much sooner but it’s never too late. Thanks again keep the video coming sir We love them

@@Naturalhitso in Australia many of our fitness influencers work in the mines. I have to wonder how on earth they can workout properly and get so jacked after a long day of labour. Sure, PEDs may help. But even with those eventually the body cannot do anymore…

I was once an avid gym goes. 5/6 times per week, push/pull/legs, 30year old, natural, 5 exercises of 3 sets of 10 I converted to the MM method about 8months ago. Training once every 72 hours, 6 sets per workout. If nothing else, I’ve gone up in strength, up in weights and reps in every exercise, my niggles have gone and I’ve NOT withered away. Look around the gym: most people are either juicing or look shit doing 3 texts of 10

North America's main problem of obesity comes from: emotional eaters, late night eaters, waking up in the night to eat then going back to sleep, constant hi fructose deserts, regular eating fatty greasy foods with sugary foods, snack foods, chocolate/candies, processed foods with lots of chemicals to make it, lots of beer or alcoholic drinks with conditioners. Alcoholic conditions make hard alcohol taste the same for one bottle to another. It is loaded with hi fructose sugars and chemicals to make the alcohol taste smooth and the same. Anything that damages the pancreas causes obesity, guaranteed. Eating fats with sugary foods causes obesity, guaranteed. Constant eating causes insulin to rise which causes obesity. Insulin is a potent body mass builder hormone, if people don't exercise with an insulin growth factor they will gain weight. Constant insulin and/or slow thyroid is the main reason people become obese. Enzymes, choline and probiotics are the only things that can digest excess sugars, fats and proteins which tones the body. All of these come from raw foods, fermented foods and legumes which North Americans do not eat at all.

So I ate for a full month religiously 2000kcals a day leading to a loss of 1.2kg of pure fat according to measurements. Following his advice my daily maintenance lies around 2350kcals a day so I will be religiously cutting to 1600kcals with the macros above now and if I don’t forget, I will report back.

So if you are trying to use Mikes philosophy to both lose fat and gain muscle and you only had 6 months, would it be advisable to stay in a calorie deficit for as long as it takes to reach your desired level of leanness knowing that you might not gain much muscle during that time, or, diet for about 2-3 months, then bulk for 2 months, then cut for 2 months?
