This song is not meant to make a political statement of any kind. It's simply about a family that is missing a brother. The young man who joined the army did so of his own free will. He was 20 years old and his parents played no part in his decision to serve his country. They are proud to have such a brave son.
I am only the best friend (for 34 years) of the mother, Cindy. It is my honor to post this video on KZread. All of the wonderful messages that I have received are being forwarded to Heather and her mother.
Heather loves to sing. Since she was small she has always tried to get to the microphone first at church so she could sing. She always loved karaoke and would beg for the mic. She still loves singing more than just about anything.
Heather loves her brother and misses him. She has many memories of him. He comes home every chance he gets and will probably get to come home for a short time in February or March.
Before I truned on the camera Heather was really acting silly and laughing. What many of you have said looks like crying at the first is just Heather rubbing her eyes like any 6 year old might do.

in the video "God bless america" the voice is not that girl, it is the voice of jonbenet ramsey who was murdered at the age of 6 in 1996

I have never cried so much in my life than right now. My older brother is going to boot camp in a couple months, and this basically sums at what i am feeling. I miss him already, even though he hasn't left yet. God bless your brother and all the other soldiers

This is so sweet!!! Great song!! I remember when I was in the Army I had a little brother and sister which would send me letters asking when I was going to come home. I never realized how much they loved me until they sent me those letters.

I think this is wonderful.. Everytime i see it it just makes me cry.. I dont have any familey in the military .. But this little girl is amazing.. and those of you who dont like it you can click out just as fast as you clicked in to see it.. Have a heart...

Who would dislike this. It upsets me that people have that kind of soul to be able to even hit that button and call themselves american. People put their lives on the line just to fight for our freedom. If you'd rather have what other countries have to offer, then move there. We are blessed to have the freedom that we do. I bawled my eyes out watching this. Both of my older brothers are in the military, one has been deployed once, and the other leaves in May. God Bless Our Troops.
My friend showed me this four years ago, brought me to tears. My brother's in the army and very narrowly avoided being shot during the war in Afghanistan, my granddad got killed in the army. I'm now 15 and this still brings me to tears. Im not weak, i've just got a heart.

my mom just came home last week from 6 months in Afghanistan this little girl is stronger than I am I wouldn't have made it through the song with out crying

This little girl is so brave. I a a mommy to three and her singing brought me to tears.
My brother is in the army and he is 22 and I am 21and I am his youngest sister that misses him. Anybody that has siblings in the service just remember you always have service family to talk to. God Bless

this little girl was smart and brave beyond her years she reminds me of my niece her father is in the Marines and so in love with God I could see her doing something like this

she's so cute!!! this song reminds me of my uncle steven, he was in the army before i was even born, but he makes the whole family proud. my aunt lorrie, too.

She is such a great kid. So adorable. This is so touching that she sang this for her brother and i hope he comes home to see her again really soon. And to the people posting stupud comments stop it. She was six when she sang this and she did wonderful for a young girl. Stop being negative.
Every time I hear this, I cry. But I love it, because it reminds me of the true pain families feel when their sons, brothers, children, go to war to fight for us. They give up their tomorrows so we can have ours. After seeing my cousin go back and forth from Afghanistan and other areas of warfare, I know what fear is, but I'll never have the fear and confusion of this little girl. I give her so much credit for having the bravery to stand and sing as sweetly as she did. Brava Brava Bravissima.

How could you ever dislike this video? This isnt about what you think is right or wrong, it's about a little girl singing to her daddy. Because she misses him, & they are apart from each other. The soldiers are fighting for our freedom, thats my opinon.

my heart goes to this litle girl all she want's is her dad to be there with her. I was in sweden & my dad was finishing all the work in usa to move to sweden with our family i didn't gett to see him in 1 whole year and whene he suprised me at school i totally broke out in tears the reunion is the best thing in your entier life.

She is one of the many reasons why old soldiers like me, is extremely proud to have had the privileged to serve over 22+ yrs in the Army. I first seen this video about a year after I left the the service. It is still as good today as when I seen it 6 years ago.
That is amazing... he voice may not be perfect but you can see that it is from her heart and she is still young so i can almost GUARANTEE you that she will be AMAZING when she is a little older. This made me cry so much and reminded me of my uncle, who recently lost his life to a drug addiction... really touching :)
