Heart Check - Louie Giglio

“The tongue is tiny but its influence is titanic.” - Louie Giglio
Week four of THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING centers around the part of you that can cause the most destruction, your tongue. James calls us out on the words we use and the impact they can have on the world around us.

At Passion City Church we believe that because God has displayed the ultimate sacrifice in Jesus, our response to that in worship must be extravagant. It is our privilege, and our created purpose, to reflect God’s Glory back to Him through our praise, our sacrifice, and our song.

My God how annoited is this sermon. Wow! So needed to ponder very seriously before we speak, we write or what we put out there on the net leaving it to the reader to interpret what they wish as we really if pushed to be honest and sincere we intentionally down deep in our hearts want to destroy another in our frustration and deep seated hurts. I too have fallen prey of this grave sin.

this message exposed areas in myself where I can practice more humility! It was an area buried so deep that I have been missing it for years.

Sadly, I am a Topper at times. I'd love to keep my mouth shut but I'm so happy to tell people things that my emotions take over. A hard to hear message but what an amazing one 🙏🏻 we're doing this study for our ladies Bible study and we are really enjoying it. God bless you!

Ps Louie, THANK YOU. This is a message in season! I'd been struggling with whether to confront somebody about a contentious issue. I asked God to help me. I slept over it hoping it would go away (because my natural instinct is to impulsively say what I think is helpful on the spot) and that I would find peace. I didn't. But true to Himself, God put this message on my recommended feed and I am SO GLAD I watched it. God bless you and the team at Passion City Church family!

Loui, God uses what you're saying to make me speechless. He has been trying to git my attention but I kept trying just to shut up; & failing miserably. my heart needed His Word. Now He has given me so much grace thru this message. 1102pm & He's just mended my heart some more...just when i thot...forgive me, Lord, - He showed me more ... Liked"is it true," "is it necessary," "is it kind." Bended.

So helpful and true, I believe I struggle with this, due to being a new creation, and the transformation of finding common ground, to try and help others come to Christ , but also trying to find common ground to have conversation, that through those, I hope for a chance to bring the gospel in situations, I am trying to be the best I am, and letting Christ sculpt me, thank You for helping explain the Bible, and the words of God , and how to interpret His intentions!

That was awesome Loui. Thank you for that great message. I have a question: As a small business owner I feel that it’s a good Sales/Marketing strategy to comment on people’s posts. Is there any issue with that s as long as you are celebrating them or being constructive?

I think he mentions here if I remember correctly, that you must ask yourself three questions regarding what you choose to speak...."Is it true, is it kind, is it necessary?" I mean correct me please if Im wrong, just thought it may be helpful
