I just had one of those rock'n'roll revelations that sneak up. This is my favourite Heart song. No longer Alone. No longer Magic Man. It's Barracuda. Because I met Nancy this year at the Rock'N'Roll Fantasy Camp, and I saw how gracious you were, I found out what challenges Ann had to slay, to be in this clip at all, and I learned about the spite and poison within the music industry which prompted the writing of this song. Loyalty beat it. Reaching out beat it, for some of you on stage; not others. Scary business, huh? Here's to sticking together. That voice is worth it. Those guitars are worth it. Burn it to the wick, Rockstars. x

I was watching an interview the other day and Ann referred to Nancy's playing as "That thing she does". There's something so touching when you have a human doing one thing through his or her whole life no matter what happens in their life and they keep doing it and can't stop doing it because is THE thing they came to do in this world and is like some magic they have inside. That talent, that thing some people can't stop doing even if they wanted to is the confirmation that there is something bigger than ourselves passing alongside with us in this life.
