It it strange to me that you allow yourself to make that kind of comment, when there are instances working hard, at the present moment, to protect "this country"'. As they should, and as is par of the course. A bunch of fanatised idiots, led by an insane former president, can make noise, and behave complicit in senseless killings. But these tragic events do not define a country's identity. Those criminals are being tried, the Jan.6th Commitee is doing its job. There's no incentive for the US government to hold itself accountable for anything. Too many Americans willingly let the government get away with whatever it wants.
