HEAR HISTORY: Supreme Court hears Donald Trump’s Jan. 6th immunity claim | MSNBC

The Supreme Court is hearing arguments in Donald Trump’s broad presidential immunity claim. The arguments focus on Trump's criminal charges over his attempt to overturn the 2020 election results and whether they should be dismissed based on that broad claim of immunity. The decision could impact Trump’s criminal trial in Washington, D.C., the criminal classified documents case in Florida and the election interference criminal trial in Georgia.

While absolutely true, Sauer is being paid only to argue presidential immunity whether he believes it or not. He's reaching far and wide for anything as a defense, which isn't working and is why he's running in circles. If Sauer fails here, Trump loses all future arguments that anything he did as President was official business. Sauer knows it's an impossible task to win this.

@@triciasingleton8800There is no democratic country without limits for such offices. US have to have something special (like inches, feet or galons - no other country except for two 3rd world countries. Can you say how many 345 cubic feet is cubic inches, without usage of a calculator) In decimal system I can transfer any unit, just add zeros 1km (kilo means thousand) = 1000m = 100 000cm (centi means hundred 1$=100 cents) = 1000 000 mm mili like million). I love how they refer to Jefferson, Washington etc. Your system of justice and democracy is ridiculous. Undemocratic voting system. To register yourself, so you can vote. Anywhere else where is democracy, every adult gets in their post box envelope with voting leaves, each party has one with names of candidates. With your laws and constitution you live in 18th and 19th century. When do you take voting right from women and people of colour will be slaves again? You're really making America great again. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Our supreme court does not create laws just solves court appeals, do not create laws. Our jurisdical system is not based on stare decisis like in US. We also don't have jury with 11 jurors. Just two jurors that with a judge decide about guilt. There is always some decision - 2 vs 1 or all 3 decided the same. Supreme court judge's term is 10 years.

The Extreme court lost a LOT of credibility when they handed the WH to Bush, and when they tossed out Roe. The crooked R's Kavanaugh & Thomas both need to be REMOVED and replaced by good progressives. President Biden's choices would be a HUGE improvement.

@@daveharvey5764that is how things work in a democracy. Candidates who lost have the right to contest the results in courts. If they lose in court, then it is clear that they didn't have the votes to win. Trump lost in courts. He should have accepted the results of the election. He did not and tried to stay in power by breaking the law.

If the courts are honest and true to the EVIDENCE and the LAW and duly and honestly executed at every level, then why should ANY president need special immunity since an honest and just outcome could be expected should ANY president be charges with a crime? Like ANY other “citizen” , NO citizen is ABOVE THE LAW.
