Good video. Perhaps the intro could be shorter since it seemed like it was going to be a read type of video and I and possibly others almost clicked on to the next video.

Depending on hotel room microwave availability, i think I'd bring some electric heating devices, like maybe a small skillet with lid and a small hot water kettle, and if you don't have a refrigerator you could always use a cooler as your luggage and get ice from the ice machine to make it refrigerator temp. Also that hike looks not very pedestrian friendly. Have you considered getting Instacart delivery when you get into a town? Looks like Wichita has several stores that deliver to this location, and this way you wouldn't have to make this arduous trek. I know you probably pride yourself for walking to the store, and I'm proud of you for doing so, but many American places, especially hotels near airports, make it hell to get any food or walk anywhere. It really is a failure to urban planning and to society. Finally, depending on price difference, you can cook chicken in a microwave with taste and texture rivaling canned chicken. I say this because fresh chicken is probably cheaper than canned per unit weight. Canned chicken is great for food storage, but for immediate consumption, fresh is probably best.

Try stevia sodas from Safeway or a couple other places. Really beat the soda and energy drink cravings for me!

Ok that was exactly what I was looking for and I can find other options for the grain. Did you measure out the chicken and vegetables?

No, but a digital food scale is small enough that if you wanted to you can take it with you. You could also get a silicon collapsible cup to go with you and pre-measure the volume, but that won't be as accurate.

If you plan properly, there's no food left! The silicone bowl packs flat at the bottom of the suitcase, and my foldable spork can be packed inside.
