Heads Up - Astro Gear Isn't On Sale, but MiniPC's and SSD's are! (Amazon PrimeDay 2022)

I quickly threw this video together at lunchtime when I realized it was Amazon PrimeDay 2022 and the MeLE MiniPC's, NVMe SSDs, Red-light Headlamps, Collapsible Stools, USB Hand-warmers, and everything else was on sale today! If you need something that isn't a Telescope, Camera, or Mount, ... today may be the day to order it.
I listed some Amazon affiliate links below, but don't feel like you need to use them if it is easier to go straight to Amazon. I just want to make sure you are getting the best price available.

yesterday I got my first NINA session, thanks to you, but to be clear that was the first night with 6 hours of clear skies and now I'm processing the dithering to drizzle data from the dumbbell nebula, lets see how it comes up with 2h22m minutes from it and another 5 hour of the lagoon and triffid nebula from other scope so of course, you deserve, CLEAR SKIES ASTRO PATRIOT.

It’s been absolutely miserable. Everything is just collecting dust at this point. Not to mention that it makes it extremely challenging to complete some of the videos I’m working on. I almost put my equipment out the other night even though there was a 5% threat of rain. I’m glad I didn’t, we got 1 inch of rain in under an hour!

I installed the mini PC and tested everything. Thanks to your video it was smooth sailing especially for an Apple guy like me. Tonight’s supposed to be a clear night so I hope I can give it a thorough test. I hope you’ll get some clear skies too very soon.

Just a heads-up that I've been running a Quieter 3Q and a Quieter2. The Q2 has been giving me issues with remote desktop that I eventually traced down to the Wifi adapter resetting occasionally, sometimes triggering a reboot. The 3Q has been very stable. So I suggest that folks spend the money for the 3Q and avoid the Q2 for astronomy.

Thanks for the heads up! Been on the fence about picking up one of these for a while now. The NUC I've been running has been showing it's age, so something lighter and faster that I'll be able to power off 12v will be a nice upgrade. Will also be nice to have a backup PC for a week long star party trip that's coming up, just hope I have clear skys! The PNC has been pretty cloudy this year.

I bought mine in May from Amazon for less than they are selling them today as a Prime deal. Beware these big events as the savings are often worse than the normal mid year discounted rate.

Do you happen to remember what you paid? $223 for the 256 gig model is actually pretty good. I might’ve seen it get down around $219 with a coupon previously. $207 for the 128gb I think (Which I would opt for, and spend the extra money on a discounted NVMe SSD)

Hi Chad, I was waiting until AmazonPrime came along before ordering the suggested equipment from your mini pc series while using your affiliation Amazon links. I do have a request. From all of the configurations can you show or do a video on how you have put together all of this new equipment (I understand you are not getting clearer skies but I figured this was a indoor project) i.e. heat sink onto your mini PC and how it is attached to your mount. (if it is) I know that you are using your build powerbox with your Anderson plugs by the way great video on cable management. I am using a Pegasus Astro ultimate power box. (yes I'm still new school have not been comfortable enough and making my own cable yet). But very curious on how are you setting up linking to all of the new equipment. Thanks again for all of your great help.
