When I tried to replace my $135 headlight bulb and I dropped a small screw down inside the headlamp housing, I knew that I would need to remove the assembly. This video really helped. Very easy to both remove and replace both sides thanks to your instructions.

You can buy the entire assembly for $119 on eBay

You shouldn't have a problem. It is pretty straightforward, just take your time. You might have to change your brackets, if they don't match. Be careful you don't crack removing the lens. All the best..

Thanks, that helped. I found the side flanges didn't have the right holes drilled and had to drill my own. Luckily plastic so easy. The "forward to release hooks" was key. Not sure I'd guessed that! Oh and the plug was mounted upside down in one lights so had to turn plug 180. Not sure it likes that.

They make it so complicated to replace anything anymore this video helps but I’m still worried I’d screw something up like the intake not being quite attached right

Take a bunch of pictures before you take it apart. That way if you have a question on how it goes back together you could refer back to your pictures. All the best

Thanks for this helpful video! The headlight assembly (driver & passenger side) on my 2017 SX Turbo need replacing. I am going to pick up a set off Ebay and give it a go. So your removal\installation steps are pretty much the same for the passenger side?

@@dandinhofer9240 It's pretty straight forward just like in the video so removing the headlights went well. I've decided to hold off on replacing the assembly and do a headlight restoration instead. A friend of mine who is an auto detailer said that wet sanding and polishing will make it good as new. I will probably put on a clearcoat after to protect it or a light smoke vinyl tint wrap.

You don't have to remove the bumper. A lot of people do not realize it's just a push in clip, the remove the bumper. But you do have to be careful when removing the headlight assembly

Will the new headlight would come with the bracket

When I ordered mine, I had to switch the brackets out because they were different. I had to use my old ones. Yes it did come with brackets but they were wrong. I hope this helps. All the best..

I just completed mine it was way easy my only issue is the bracket on the new one does not line up and I could not switch them

For the two clips on the light assembly. Do they get pulled out or do you lift up on them to get the light assembly out?

I didn't think it was that important. there was only one plug. very simple to remove. I apologize for not showing how to remove the plug. I hope this video helped you. All the best
