Great reaction and thank you for accepting our recommendations. The Legend 1997 concert was the day after Su's 16th birthday - she was born in 1997, she is the legend. Yuimetal and Moametal were both 14. Legend 1997 was a special concert as it marked the final step in BABYMETAL separating from their parent Idol group, becoming an independent band in their own right and leaving the Idol system behind them. The whole concert followed that story line. It was 3 months before they released their first album - already they had a crowd of 8-9,000 people. 'Headbanger is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but 15 is a significant age in Japan - it marks the end of compulsory education. The girl realises life will never be the same, she will no longer be considered as just a child and those first 15 years passed by so quickly, so she is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart. Su was still only 14 when they first recorded it in 2012, so it is not about her, but all the girls could relate to it - but they were no attending their first concert, they were performing in them. At shows in 2014 on or near their own 15th birthdays Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Koln) took over lead vocals for 'Headbanger'. The same happened in 2019 on Moa's 20th birthday (the Legend M concert and fans call the song 'Moabanger' for that performance). 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (Bullying, No More, For Ever) is another early song that would be good for another reaction - live at Sonisphere 2014 in the UK was another special performance - their very first major event outside of Japan with 50-60,000 UK metalheads who did not know Babymetal.

Great reaction, thanks! "Headbanger" is one of their huge classics and this performance is an early masterclass on crowd control. One of the most important jobs of Yui (in this video, now Momoko) and Moa, apart form the backing vocals and doing the hardest part of the choreo, is to get the audience involved, also providing the cues to sing along (notice that in Japan is considered impolite to sing along the lead singer) or doing a particular movement. As a metalhead, I never ever thought it was so important. And let's be honest, the "right side vs. left side screaming battles" feel now pretty old. 😁 Until next time! 🤘🦊

Thanks for that inside info. It's really interesting. I know that crowds in Japan are very different than here in Europe. I'm a big wrestling fan and got to know the crowd reactions in Japan through that quite a bit and it's very different. Cool to know that there are queues and such to involve the crowd.

Thanks for this reaction. You touched on many great points (sign of a good reaction), the lead singer Su-metal of Babymetal actually mentioned how she looks up to Rammstein: SU-METAL: The staff came out and tossed the microphone to the vocalist at just the right time, who took it and went straight to the stage. That kind of teamwork was amazing, and more importantly, I realized that this stage was made possible through such thorough preparation. Normally, it would be dangerous to use fire and other things like that. But they took all of it into consideration, and calculated it all out. I was also impressed with how they used fire as a way to express the music. We use dance to express metal, but Rammstein’s way of expression is just amazing. The show itself is like riding a theme park attraction! Rammstein draws you into their world immediately, and there is a thrill in wondering what’s going to happen next, that makes you feel all kinds of emotions. When the intense music comes on, your heart begins pounding.[...] That was at a festival in Austria actually ! (Rock In Vienna 2016), Babymetal and Rammstein posted a photo together, you can look it up.

Welcome back to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥 Yesterday they performed in Berlin and today is Leipzig time, tomorrow is turn for Vienna, although this song isn't part of the setlist is one of BM favorites and they're still playing this during headline concerts. Either way everyone is having a blast with the concerts and i wish you would meet this band before to get the chance to see them live now, but don't worry you still are on time since they will come back next November with another live tour in Europe so don't miss the chance to see them live. Nice job spotting Pikachu. The industrial touch sounds like Rammstein which btw are very good friends with this group, SuMetal witness a live concert of them and she admires the level of professionality. I let someone else explain everything about this song in your language and thanks for the subtitles once again. Next suggestion: - Ijime Dame Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 official, and witness a turning point in their careers. You mentioned this is like a cult? Try "Babymetal Death" in this same live concert, GuilhermeCait channel got that clip, is the opener they play in all the recent concerts. Just remember that we are NotACult 👀 See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

I love todays technology. Listening to a person I can't understand but getting an instant translation. Babymetal communty is one of the nicest and welcoming I've met. If ever in doubt, they'll never fail you. I did find it funny you compared them to Rammstein because I've always said that Babymetal rivals (in a good way) them in showmanship. #Not A Cult is what you'll hear a bit, and if you want to know why, look no further than "Babymetal Death" legend 1997.

Imo THIS is what you needed to see :D Metalizm was probably not the best first exposure - alongside Gimme Chocolate (I do like it but....) and possibly "The One" (for fans or maybe Papaya (often suggested but it is pretty pop). They are very young here (obviously) - most of what you'll see ("live" preferably) you'll probably like - no two tracks/songs feel remotely the same. For me: Kagerou (live - pref in Japan) or BMC (same) are awesome - but anything is just fine. What you just watched came from the "97" show - hardly a bad track in there. Good reaction 👍

I would say while basically every song is interesting and their are favorite live performances and Babymetal always delivers live so it shouldn't matter much, their are performances which at some other venues that were not recorded by Babymetal staff for DVD, Blu-ray, etc. that had some audio issues, like bad mixing. And their is some order in learning about songs in Legend 1997, for example if you've never seen Headbanger, you don't want to start with Headbanger Night of 15 remix. And when you do Akatsuki Unfinished you probably want to see the full version too to compare, it's worth it. And other way around is also a good option

@@DieReagierung OK!! You asked for it!! So Babymetal started as a "Sub-Unit" of an all girls Idol group called "Sakura Gakuin" which was a School Themed performance and training unit for girls between the ages of 10 and 15 years old to both teach them the business of the Idol industry and to produce shows and events for profit of their talent agency "Amuse, Inc." Once they graduated out of Primary School at age 15, in their real lives at their real schools and in the Sakura Gakuin School, they would Graduate (leave) from "Sakura Gakuin" also. These "Sub-Units" were like After School Activity Clubs...there was the Cooking Club called "Mini Pati", the Baton Twirling Club called "Twinklestars" and then there was the "Heavy Music Club" which became "Babymetal". There is a whole backstory behind how Babymetal's Producer, Key Kobayashi (aka Kobametal) saw Suzuka (lead singer of Babymetal) when she performed with her previous Idol group "Karen Girls" and thought she would be a great singer for the Idol/Metal fusion group he was wanting to put together and was able to get her in as a founding member of Sakura Gakuin. Anyway, Su, Yui and Moa were put together to make up the Heavy Music Club, but none of the three girls had ever heard of Heavy Metal before so Koba had to take the time and explain what it was...and at first the girls were pretty scared of the music..(once they started singing and getting into it they Loved It!!)...but while starting to work on their first project together, Koba had to explain what the typical Rock or Metal Hand Gesture was...but being little girls, they kept messing/mixing it up with the hand shadow puppet sign of the "FOX"...so instead of constantly correcting the girls, he decided to integrate the "FOX Sign" into their routine. In Japanese the "FOX" is called a "Kitsune", so Koba started to build this whole "Lore" around a Mythical "FOX GOD" that is the Divine Patron of Babymetal. So that is where the Whole "Put your Kitsune UP!!" came from. But wait...there is more. I also add the "Po!" to my tag. Let me explain that, as it is not directly related to Babymetal. As I said, Babymetal started as a Sub-Unit of Sakura in 2010 when the girls were only 11yr and 12yrs old. But by the time they were 14yr and 16yrs old they had separated from Sakura Gakuin in late 2013 to become their own thing and their video for "Gimme Chocolate" Blew UP (currently at 176 million views just on KZread) and they started touring World Wide and gaining International attention. They have since opened for, toured with or played with groups like Metallica, Rob Halford, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lady Gaga and others. They single-handedly turned the collective heads of the Western Metal Heads toward the East!! And because of this new found attention on Japanese Rock and Metal, other Japanese Rock and Metal groups started to rise into the collective music consciousness of Western Fans! Band Maid. Band Maid started in 2013, and almost ended there too..LoL!! But with Babymetal going Viral and all of the attention they were getting in Western Press, when Band Maid dropped their first Video (at the time they planned it to be their only vid before breaking up) in late 2014 and guess what?!? BOOM!! It went Viral and many people latched on and their fan base is now arguably the second largest behind Babymetal! Band Maid, while being the Hardest Rock'n Maid Band in the World, has been prolific in their production of studio albums and constant touring and has "In My Opinion" been the group that has taken greatest advantage of the changing International Music Culture (all credit going to Babymetal for this) and has become not only a great Japanese Band but flat out, Hands Down a Fantastic Band .period. ...no country of origin required!! They are one of the Top Tier Rock Bands in the World Today!! And the Founder of Band Maid, Miku, says her name means 'Pigeon' and what sound does a Pigeon make?? "Cluppo!" or just "Po" for short and Miku ends every sentence with "Po!" So I end all of my commnents (and sometimes just solo drop the tag) with.... Put your Kitsune UP!! Po! (hope that explains it - I tried to keep it short, but you did ask for it...LoL!!)

Nichtsdestotrotzgefällt mir sehr was Babymetal da machen 🤘
