Head Gravity Pro (Alexander Zverev and Andrey Rublev) Review by Gladiators

Спорт

So the Gravity is endorsed by Zverev and used by Rublev and Grisha. Find the odd one out. Well, that's easy, Zverev is the only player who doesn't play under the Russian flag. The Gravity Pro, thanks to the tight string pattern, thin beam, and large head size combines the perfect specs to achieve incredible control and feel, not giving up that much on the power. Anyways, to find out why this racket is chosen by players of such level, as well as to find out the opinions of Areg and Niki, watch our review until the end. Also, the bloopers are quite funny

    Great review again, geez love the backhand shots in th video, tried the Gravity Tour / Pro and loved the great feel and control. Loved serving big and seeing 90% of the balls land in, but did get a bit tired in the end, I think I had an over sped swing wait on the tour verison, if the tour or pro had the Ash Barty option of 16/19 string pattern the tour would be in my bag right now.

    So I tried out both gravity models just because i didn't know much about them. Yeah the old one has a better design but actually i dont know why but the newer racket gave me more feel and I felt like I could not have any problems at all. At a match, I was like woah this guy's racket switches colors! Now I will admit I'm sorry Grisha but the speed mp gave me more spin and a faster pace. I don't know why even though you said it's for aggressive players but whatever I'll just stick to being an Al fanboy with my pure drive with a pink grip :). Of course you still master the gravity well with your pure STRENGTH. I saw that little ponytail in your review hehe.

  • @gladiatorstribe

    @gladiatorstribe

    3 жыл бұрын

    Oh for sure, the speed mp offers way more power and spin! It's impossible to miss with the gravity because of the amount of control and feel that it offers! As for the ponytail, might not be the prettiest looking thing but it works 😂

  • @LarzB

    @LarzB

    3 жыл бұрын

    The speed mp has a much higher launch angle and more power and more spin indeed. But it's also more erratic, less control, feels a bit more sluggish aerodynamically and certain shots can fly on you easier. A more floaty slice and the gravity pro is better at the net and better at flat serves (more control while having power from the plow). The Gravity mp and speed mp are more similar. But still noticeable differences. Sometimes i feel like the gravity line is a genetic combination of the speed line, the prestige line in it and some extreme as well. Like it takes something from all those 3 lines into a new combo.

    It WAS in fact the next video 😂 Solid review as always guys 👌🏼 How would you compare the Gravity Pro with the VCORE 95 / is the Gravity really good with control compared to other 18x20 rackets you’ve tested?

  • @LarzB

    @LarzB

    3 жыл бұрын

    I actually play tested the vcore 95 (2018 and newest version) next to the gravity pro. All customized to similar spec. The only difference was that my gravity pro has a swing weight of 330 and I had the vcore 95 customized to 325. All rackets were strung close to 350 grams with a balance around 31,2 cm. They are very comparable, the vcore is little easier on all ground strokes and kick serve. All other strokes the Gravity Pro is better. More solid, more touch, more serving power, more plow power, same control, but you have to do a little bit more effort for spin and kick. At the net the gravity pro hands down. The vcore 95 is easier with spin and kick serve and easier to defend with, although both rackets are not rackets for defending players. I sold the 2 vcore 95's although I liked them. Oh my one handed backhand is similar overall with both frames but different on different aspects, but i think that mostly has to do with the difference in swing weight. With my one hander I had to hang into the shot a bit more to get the gravity going, but when it goes... it goes! But you should not string the gravity pro above 22kg. I actually have it strung 21kg mains, 19kg crosses. It gives a very nice pocketing and super touch. The gravity pro has most of the time a swing weight above 330, which makes a very different racket to many other rackets including the vcore that i increased the swing weight on. I think the vcore 95 should not have a swing weight lower than 325 as i lacked serving power on my first serve already at that swing weight.

    @@guineapig6582 I'm playing with the 2018 vcore pro 97HD 18x20 next to my gravity pro. I have matched them in spec and with the spec the same between those two frames the difference is very small. They give similar feedback, have similar power and launch angle. Difference is that the vcore pro gives a tiny more control and the gravity pro has a little bit bigger sweet spot. But the differences in my matched case are nihil. Generally the gravity pro has a higher swing weight than the vcp97, so that is something to take into account. I eliminated those differences by matching the rackets

    Totaly agree, the 1st model star wars looks mutch better. Im thinking about the gravity pro, im using the old speed youtek 335g. I can generate power, and a i need a better racket for serving. To answer that question, just take a look at all the top tennis players. Are any of them tanks? Not really, well except for Nadal and also Federer has a massive back (his bday today btw). So yeah, the technique is the main source of power.
