3.5 player here and I’ve tried it today, it’s an amazing racket: good spin, power and stability! What an amazing combo, will buy one very soon
You look good with that racquet. Thinking of buying that one for myself after watching this video.
This is a great stick, control power and pretty forgiving with a relatively thin frame
Hi Man! Great review! How would this compare to the Clash V1 pro and the Clash V2 pro? Is the feel and power similar?
great review brother,,what shoes you rockin?
Hey buddy, how does this compare in terms of feel to the Wilson clash pro? Am coming from a gravity tour and wanted more free power but I don’t like the feel of the clash pro and there seems to be some comparison on other sites
I have tested the Head Boom Pro recently coming from an old much lighter Prince Force 3 racquet that used to be my dad's, feels great on groundstrokes and at the net. But I am not 100% convinced on the serve and touch yet (I might just have to adapt to the racquet). Would you recommend testing specific other racquets for people that like this one? (I would say I am kind of an all-court player, played 5 years as a kid and picked up tennis again a year ago)
Hey Jonas, I am using the same prestige MP as yours but i don't know why I got tennis elbow from it after 1 full day of tournament. I noticed a lot of vibrations on the frame. Is this boom pro more comfortable despite the stiffness?
hello dear and congratulations for the review. I measured the inertia of the Boom Pro at the babolat RDC and it gives me 311 SW strung...it seems very strange to me
I'm an intermediate self taught player. I've played 2+ hours with the Head Boom Pro with the - stiff - Topspin Max Rotation at 24kg (53lbs), maybe got a bit less now. Anyway, the Boom Pro plays very very well on the backhand side for me. I'll have to move to the next strings to talk about the forehand side. Less spin and Power than my usual Diadem Elevate FS 98, more control though. Many reviews burrying the Boom Pro, but it's a personal thing. Can't be 100% objective with anything. I don't feel disconnected as some reviewers suggest.
What is your setup and how much weight you added to the Boom Pro?
How would you compare the Boom Pro to the Extreme MP? According to the specs listed on TW, they both have 325 swingweight and a stiffness rating of 66, but the Boom Pro is heavier (310 vs. 300) and has a thinner beam. Boom Pro has a cpi index of 400 vs. 600 for Extreme MP. From the specs, Boom MP looks like a lighter Extreme MP and Boom Pro a heavier and possibly slightly slower Extreme MP.

what does cpi index mean?
Compared to the Ezone 98 2020?
Jonas, how does it compare to the Radical?
What is the specs after modifying ?
How it’s comparing to new Ezone 98?
How does this compare to the Clash 98>?
Dayum bro , have to ask this now. When you going pro?
Jonas, it really shows that you are hitting well with this racquet!

@@Tennisnerd i hear many people saying boom pro is similar to clash pro. Does this comparison makes sense to you?

I would like to know the answer to this question too
What is the difference from Radical ?
Hey Jonas very nice review, I just wish that you give your opinion on what level of player on the NTRP scale would benefit playing with the frame

Hey jonas. Great review. I was wondering, if you generally prefer the hawk or lynx tour ? At 1.30mm (16G) with both of them, the hawk is actually rated a lil bit higher in stifness. I'm actually testing both now in the MP version. I liked the lynx tour for the first 2 hours, then the stringbed went DEAD,, is that normal ? I will be testing the hawk 1.30mm soon. I was wondering if i could get your opinion on this.. cause i was told the the lynx tour, is similar to the solinco hyper G, which is true, but then like i said before, the hawk 1.30mm is actually higner in stifness, so i'm a bit confused.. Anywyas, thank Jonas.

Alex did you ever try a Hybrid with both? Lynx Tour on main and Hawk crosses is a fantastic mix. 👌🏻

Yo bud, have your received head lynx touch yet??
Great video Jonas! Was curious, what do you use to film behind court view? Phone, GoPro? And what to hook it to fence?

Hi @Tennisnerd (s). At the moment i got a prestige MP L, and i am looking for little more power and was thinking of this boom pro. Is that the right choice to make?

Where does this fall in the Head lineup? It’s hard to keep up with all of their frames!!
How does it compare to a gravity pro?
@Tennisnerd

Whippier/easier to swing, more powerful, less stability and plow-through than the Gravity.
Hi Jonas, this racket fits my specs too. I currently use a Vcore 95 2019 but looking for more power and stability. I will try to demo. Could you review some Gosen strings in the future. Heard good things about AK Control. Btw are u playing at Pembroke Racquet club?
Hey been refreshing everyday. When will us tennis nerds get to hear part 3?

Hey Mark, thanks for subscribing - I wanted to give both the MP and the Pro some extra time, but will conclude them in a week. My fave is the MP.
Whoa, your forehand is looking good! I can tell that the backswing is shortened

Hey Jonas thoughts in differences between this frame and the Radical Pro? Do you have a preference?
@Tennisnerd

Hey, that is tough, I prefer the feel of the Boom Pro, but it can be a tad more erratic.
How much weight did you addd to the hoop and where?
As my forehand is more alike you day by day ironically, I just want to say you need to figure out how to put more spin when playing with these modern racquets
Would you say the Boom Pro has any similarities to the Yonex Regna 98? It seems their specs are fairly similar and with the isometric head shape and it being a little more in the middle for a power/control racquet it seems like they may feel similar. I'm getting a Regna 98 shipped form Japan from my brother but am also curious about the Boom Pro.

How do you like the regna 98?
Just bought this frame. Hybrid set-up: gut in the mains and RPM Blast in the crosses. (55/53) pounds. Transition from Pure Strike 100 2nd generation that I had highly customized to get to a 335 g frame and 325 sw. Was looking for something I did not need to tinker with. So far I’m hitting well and did not add any weight. Surprisingly good at net, which I was not to sure of when I demoed it. I love to come to the net so this is very important to me and I really like the maneuverability considering the static weight of this frame. Great also on my one-hand backhand. Slices are deep and low as I saw you hitting them in the video. This might be sold as a power frame but quite frankly, it’s much less so than a Pure Drive or similar. Closest frame to this one I tried was EZone 98 but I felt the Yonex less connected with it… don’t know why. Keep up the great work Jonas!
Is Mike back?!?? 🙂🎾👍

Hello. Could you kindly tell me what are the strengths and weaknesses of the boom pro compared to the pure aero VS?
Your friend is using a Volk c10 super stick
Do you realize you're laying the racket back fully horizontal on your backhand volleys? A bit too much swatting at the ball I think. Pull up videos of Edberg. You can take a bigger swing with high slow balls but you don't need to break your wrist so much, just take the racket back a bit further.
no jonas don’t switch again lol
