3.5 player here and I’ve tried it today, it’s an amazing racket: good spin, power and stability! What an amazing combo, will buy one very soon

I have tested the Head Boom Pro recently coming from an old much lighter Prince Force 3 racquet that used to be my dad's, feels great on groundstrokes and at the net. But I am not 100% convinced on the serve and touch yet (I might just have to adapt to the racquet). Would you recommend testing specific other racquets for people that like this one? (I would say I am kind of an all-court player, played 5 years as a kid and picked up tennis again a year ago)

Hey Jonas, I am using the same prestige MP as yours but i don't know why I got tennis elbow from it after 1 full day of tournament. I noticed a lot of vibrations on the frame. Is this boom pro more comfortable despite the stiffness?

hello dear and congratulations for the review. I measured the inertia of the Boom Pro at the babolat RDC and it gives me 311 SW strung...it seems very strange to me

I'm an intermediate self taught player. I've played 2+ hours with the Head Boom Pro with the - stiff - Topspin Max Rotation at 24kg (53lbs), maybe got a bit less now. Anyway, the Boom Pro plays very very well on the backhand side for me. I'll have to move to the next strings to talk about the forehand side. Less spin and Power than my usual Diadem Elevate FS 98, more control though. Many reviews burrying the Boom Pro, but it's a personal thing. Can't be 100% objective with anything. I don't feel disconnected as some reviewers suggest.

How would you compare the Boom Pro to the Extreme MP? According to the specs listed on TW, they both have 325 swingweight and a stiffness rating of 66, but the Boom Pro is heavier (310 vs. 300) and has a thinner beam. Boom Pro has a cpi index of 400 vs. 600 for Extreme MP. From the specs, Boom MP looks like a lighter Extreme MP and Boom Pro a heavier and possibly slightly slower Extreme MP.

Hey jonas. Great review. I was wondering, if you generally prefer the hawk or lynx tour ? At 1.30mm (16G) with both of them, the hawk is actually rated a lil bit higher in stifness. I'm actually testing both now in the MP version. I liked the lynx tour for the first 2 hours, then the stringbed went DEAD,, is that normal ? I will be testing the hawk 1.30mm soon. I was wondering if i could get your opinion on this.. cause i was told the the lynx tour, is similar to the solinco hyper G, which is true, but then like i said before, the hawk 1.30mm is actually higner in stifness, so i'm a bit confused.. Anywyas, thank Jonas.

Would you say the Boom Pro has any similarities to the Yonex Regna 98? It seems their specs are fairly similar and with the isometric head shape and it being a little more in the middle for a power/control racquet it seems like they may feel similar. I'm getting a Regna 98 shipped form Japan from my brother but am also curious about the Boom Pro.

Just bought this frame. Hybrid set-up: gut in the mains and RPM Blast in the crosses. (55/53) pounds. Transition from Pure Strike 100 2nd generation that I had highly customized to get to a 335 g frame and 325 sw. Was looking for something I did not need to tinker with. So far I’m hitting well and did not add any weight. Surprisingly good at net, which I was not to sure of when I demoed it. I love to come to the net so this is very important to me and I really like the maneuverability considering the static weight of this frame. Great also on my one-hand backhand. Slices are deep and low as I saw you hitting them in the video. This might be sold as a power frame but quite frankly, it’s much less so than a Pure Drive or similar. Closest frame to this one I tried was EZone 98 but I felt the Yonex less connected with it… don’t know why. Keep up the great work Jonas!

Do you realize you're laying the racket back fully horizontal on your backhand volleys? A bit too much swatting at the ball I think. Pull up videos of Edberg. You can take a bigger swing with high slow balls but you don't need to break your wrist so much, just take the racket back a bit further.
