Dating in the Philippines has changed drastically in the past few years. Many foreigners have flooded into the Philippines and competition for a potential partner has become much harder. In the past, Filipinas had limited options when it comes to dating foreigners. Social Media, dating apps, y**tube promotion and LDR's have changed that dramatically. Filipinas have become aware of their value and are enjoying all the attention they're getting. They're making the best of it while many foreigners are finding out that the "traditional Filipina" is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

As a seaman who has long experience with Eastern women and their values, I cannot believe how naive these old guys are. Young women are not hot for an aged guy and his aged body. They want the things he can do for them. Many live their lives like an auction, and it is easy to get outbid. In their defense, they know that the youthful flower of their beauty will not last forever, and they are eager for a commitment NOW, before they begin to fade. . They have seen too many expats come and go and never return to commit to one who is not with them right now. One of the big differences between men and women, is that to most women, physical presence is much more important

It's better to be with a partner within 5 years age. Similar way of life, more in common. I am a Millennial and I have no interest in older folks either. Not in a relationship sense that is. Just as a friend

@jacked6 that ideal age gap is outdated. The new dating dynamics has evolved BACKWARDS and greater age gaps just makes more sense (particularly in the west) mainly due to large financial contrasts in men and women. ie broke women want men with higher earning potential. Unfortunately this leaves most average men with lower earning in the dark and alone.

@@rod1147 common seriously women now make just as much as men do in many countries. That also includes places like Japan and South Korea where I lived for several years. There is no reason or incentive so be with an old person if you still have a lot of life ahead of you. You can't expect money to help pay them off to see you. Most in my Millennial age bracket have Millennial partners too and starting families. That's just how it goes. Older folks are like invisible to us in an attractive sense. If I had an old partner they would become more of a burden than an asset once their health declines. That's just life.

And that's why birth rates are declining in Japan. As a millennial I've dated gen z women and that dynamic seems to work the best because we need eachother the most in these stages in life, this is assuming her family isn't nuclear and wealthy and has a permanent parachute for life, most families are not unfortunately.

I was wondering her age, and it is no wonder why she was not ready. Moreover, his expectations were unrealistic to think a cute young female with unlimited options would be willing to settle, while in her prime riding the carousel with male validation and attention nonstop. A Province girl has its own pitfalls. Importing a partner from another country is very difficult for any girl younger than 35, and or a handful of kids to keep her busy and out of trouble. Female nature is universal, and without family/ society/ religion to keep them in check, they can end up just like females in the West. Lastly, LDRs never work if she still has options. My words may sound harsh, but I speak with 25 years of overseas dating and relationships under my belt, and from 12 different countries. I gave up, until now since I am about to retire, and will be moving to the Phil’s permanently. The only way I will put time into a serious relationship. Hope this helps .

Yes, you have to realize the Filipinas have been scammed many times too in a lot of cases. From guys who are sexpats to guys who come, make big promises and don’t return. So don’t judge them so harshly. The smartest thing to do is to not go on dating sites until you are in country. Then tour the country a little bit and decide what you want. My recommendation is province girl all the way. If you then leave to return to your home country you probably need to return and make the trip long enough to make sure you found the girl of your dreams. Being sure and vetting her is important and worth it when you are talking marriage.

They love the idea of a lifetime love, but will trade you up in a heart beat if a better option comes along. Online dating apps have made trade up easy, and its destroying relationships. You have to live and be here to find the right girl most likely, and if you want a girl like her focus on metro areas 250k population or smaller,

I see too many minefields with a 20 something year old for me. Others can do what they want, I don’t judge. I’ve been communicating with a 37 yr old for several months, from the province area who worked overseas several years, taking care of her father and feel comfortable with the decision to communicate with her but I won’t know how the relationship proceeds until I visit this summer. I spent 25 yrs interviewing and interrogating suspects and online dating is easy to get manipulated and lied too. I ran across a few scammers and it took me several days to figure it out. So men out there have to almost be trained to identify the red flags. The fact that these women are a 10 can cloud our judgement. Keep chasing your dream.

If that isn’t a train wreck in the making, then what is. My LDR is I know on line and on tictoc (which I hate and has already caused some tension between us) and as much as I really feel for her I am ready for both the best and the worst when we meet later this year. The question is where is her heart if it in Philippines dont bring her to west been there done it don't matter what you want it what she wants. The west cant change her unless she want that of course she has to grow .Yes it cost a lot more money for a better life that means nothing to her if she dont want to be there. This girls probably never wanted to leave her country most don't if he said he was moving to her country outcome may be different.

That's not an option for everybody. Some people cannot live permanently in the Philippines, or any other country. I feel like that's all I hear...don't bring her to Canada, don't bring her to the US. That's my only option...so I wish I could hear someone say something positive on that note. Honestly if you bring your girl back to the US and she turns into a "woke boss bitch", then you probably picked the wrong girl.

Hi Chad. How’s your personal experience in the Philippines in terms of meeting someone for a committed relationship? The experience your friend had must have been a big let down and overall major disappointment. I guess it was obviously not meant to be. I haven’t had first-hand experience in the Philippines, but relationships can fizzled out for many different reasons anywhere. I’m not expecting it to be easy at all meeting a Filipina I’m compatible with for a long-term relationship in the future there. Of course we know you are generalizing. There are always exceptions and differences.

Most peoples want to date up…Filipina are no exception. The foreigners that come to the phil’s are often happy to date the poor girls, it’s a symbiotic relationship but can definitely work out. But when your in say locations like Duma, you will be dating a certain demographic. I personally found these young poorer girls are not my vibe. The generational and cultural difference is huge ..but guys ego’s are swayed by the nubile poor girls. Most foreigners cannot date the quality professional Filipina as their dating criteria are very different …

@@Eric-qm5xw Hi Eric, I’m definitely into health and fitness being a regular gym goer for decades - and still am here in Japan. Great to hear Filipinas are getting into going to the gym now. I’ll be certainly looking to join a decent gym right away, so it would be great to meet some women at the gym. I hope they are much more approachable at the gyms there, since approaching women at gyms in N. America and even in Japan is pretty much a guaranteed rejection (and I’m tall, athletic, financially independent, outgoing, good at conversation, etc., but women seem to always be holding out for their vision of the ‘ideal’ man fitting into the top 5% of available single men). I stopped even approaching women years ago. It will be interesting to see if the Philippines is different.

NEVER start communication until you’re ass is in in the country 3. respect your money the money you worked your ass off all your life so that you can retire and enjoy life 4. even 20, 30 40 whatever bucks if you start sending money before meeting them, they know they have you. You are now what we call a sucker. 5. learn from all the guys from the Philippines that got scammed they all show it on their videos smarten up men this is your brain talking you are the one in control. You’re the one with the money. 6. Don’t be an idiot and have them move in with you within three months or even a year. Would you do that back home? Hell no 7. Enjoy your retirement that’s what you worked your ass off your whole life for don’t make the women the focus of your retirement or else you’re gonna go miserable or insane. 8.
