I think when the actors are this good at acting out these abusive dramas, they get stuck in that character for good. It's like when I became a SpEd teacher; I was never offered another "regular" class.

@@friketek.3878 Not true if you go see what second tier actors(In China) must do and are offered you would understand...It is like doing B movies or bad plays at least you get to act and earn a good pay check which is what most of these people want to do....plus the entertainment field, the stories ect. are based on some of their societies backward views ...just food for thought...but yes, I wish they did not have to take roles like this to act.

Both ML’s are the bomb and the FL is a very good actress. 💃🕺🕺 So why did I skip to the last few minutes? Because the amount of abuse & intrigue is killing me and I don’t want all that negativity in my body & soul. That the first ML dies and has a good end scene of remorse fitting his character is enough for me. That the second male takes upon himself to care for & love the FL’s child is enough for me. He will be a grumpy but loving father. That somewhere there’s a shell of the FL trying to heal and sleep like a princess till she can be reborn without memory & pain is an act of hope.

The husband never loved or had any feelings for his wife….period…!!!

У героини есть шанс на счастье с дочерью и мужчиной, который действительно её любил. Удивительно, но это первый такой финал подобных фильмов про абьюз.

I always just forward to the end of these. I like seeing the ML get what’s coming to him and suffer the consequences. 2ML is one of my favorite actors. Even if I don’t see him as much as others cause he’s always in these 😭😭

I love c-dramas but it's becoming one way drama n abusive, this ML alwys play voilence role i use to like him but the voilence is becoming too much😢

At least the daughter is alive and will be cherished by the 2nd ML and raised well. Noth parents died of cancer unnecessarily, but it's the fault of the ML. The FL was avenged, but it's still sad that she died. She would be glad to k ow that her daughter is loved and protected by her friend. Plenty of karma but still sad. Stupid hubby!

Lemme LOL for a moment 🤣🤣🤣🤣 What a plot twist!! Tang yan & xiaoyue are still alive & while all evil people are ruined 🥳🥳 I really really really satisfied with this ending tho it's an open ending. Tbh i really dont like an open end, but this drama is an exception. Shen nanzhou is deserve to live and hv an ending like that after tang yan died. I am super satisfied, finally the writer gv what i want the most for this kind of abusive drama. I am tired of the ending that the FL will forgive and get back together with the ML and hv happy married life. How can an abusive and beast man deserve a happy life?? And how can a woman just forgive the man who hurt her physically and mentally?? So that's why i love the ending of this drama. Hope fu bai know that tang yan is still alive and they hv a happy married life with xiaoyue too. I kinda shocked when knowing that fu bai is the one who helped tang yan when they were kid. It make shen nanzhou getting worst as he's impostor of fu bai, get married to tang yan but he nvr love her even he called his daughter as a bastard, nvr fulfill his duty as a hubby and father. Too many sins, nanzhou. Btw who is helping tang yan? Is he the doc?

Actors in this especially the 2 Male leads deserve better roles, both are amazing actors The FL is getting better with each role she plays but still not as expressive in the face yet I believe she will get there This was a depressing abuse filled family drama about greed overtaking a family plus allowing supposed obligations determine your life ...if someone saves your life your not obligated to love them cater to their every need or allow them to abuse the people around you. Husband got his well earned punishment. The second lead just wanted to care for the person he loved and get revenge for what was done to him. Spoiler!!!! He will make a great step dad watch if you want to see an abuser finally get his comeuppance but know it is a depressing ride until then.

Why did script writer go this far? It's sickening to see the interpretation of the worst behavior. The worst they go did not bring satisfactory of the regrets at the end🤢

I was really amazed at the acting skills of the cast, especially the ML and the FL. They did so great. 👏 I wish the ML and FL would work together in more projects in the future, hopefully in a full-length drama, because their acting skills are really superb. Like, for real, I want to watch them in a 1-hour-per-episode drama with 40 episodes. 😭Also, this is the first time I've seen Ma Lejie and Ma Xiaoyu in one drama. I've began to wonder if the Chinese government isn't asking drama writers to make ML's so abusive. When women see dramas where a ML who cheats, humiliates, abuses and tortures his wife, they will think that their own husband is good because he only abuses them a 'little bit' compared to the drama MLs.

It tells you in the title it's torture. If the title says mistreatment, torture, first love returns, mistress etc.., I guarantee abuse, torture, rape will be involved the drama you don't have to watch it . I personally watch hoping she leaves him and gets with 2ml so I can watch the ml suffer. Unfortunately there's not many of those😢 Best ending for him. Great ending for mother and daughter, wish it had been longer to see mother and daughter reunited.

I guess the writers are saying he grew in a household practicing domestic violence. He saw it happen to his mother first hand. Didn't think it was wrong because he did it, the same thing, to his wife. So, their premise I guess is that domestic violence is learned. I hope he goes to jail for the rest of his life. Don't want him dead, just feel violence first hand; live a life worst than death.

El final no me queda claro, quien es la que esta por despertar la villana o FL. Alguien que me aclare por favor??
