I like the FL but why would anyone fall for the ML? He's suspicious, cold, rude, ungrateful and spoiled. Can't even bother to care for his son. It's a better love story when the characters have something to recommend them beyond money and good looks.

I totally agree. ML isn't a nice person you want to be around or have children with knowing how he would treat them. He's not worth to be with.

He wasn't cold he was just sick. Sickness can turn you to be rude... if you ever see a real patient. But even so the ml wasn't bad. He just acted a bit spoiled throwing some tantrums but still followed the fl well.

LOL she could just tell him it's her child instead of hiding it.... So stupid BUT overall she was really strong and nobody could beat her. Also I like how nobody was violent here. Even the ml was decent. Throwing small tantrums but every time the fl treated him like a kid and he would follow her direction LOL. Also he never trusted the other chick. And there was no really mistaken identies aha. The 2nd fl has her man and just said twice she was the mom. Nothing outragous. Overall good drama

Leads have no chemistry the whole drama is cold!

15 minutes in and I don't understand. Doesn't she know that her lying about her name is why he wants to marry Ni Yan. So why is she mad at him for wanting to marry her? Or when he says Ni Yan is JiaJia's mother and wants JiaJia to recognize her as so. She is essentially plotting to steal their child without him knowing and judging him for the things she makes him misunderstand. How do you want him to trust you when you barely give him anything to trust? Edit: I skipped to the end. I'm rating the FL 6/10. She's misunderstanding central. For ML, I rate him 7/10. Deducted for roughness.

Exactly. She speaks about other men when she has a chance. I really dont know why ML likes her at all. I should have left her the very first moment she mention being with other men. I have self respect.

Oww I like it "There's no men I can get. Only men I don't want" Ouch that must hurt. A like that FL is a kind but strong woman who won't take any bullshit. I dislike that the ML is a weak person. He don't investigate but believes what suits him well. He isn't a good father for his son. All those bruises and nobody notices before. Further a very confusing story with a lot off lose ends. For example the FL, seeing her entourage that greeted her in the beginning, is a very succesfull woman. Probably more succesfull then the ML because he didn't find out. What happened at the cremation of her mother, the 2FL pretending to be the mother, her dad and his wife etc. Or the translation isn't correct therefore or the drama is cut and pieces/scenes are missing. I'm not happy with this ending while having a lot of lose ends aren't answered.

Old Rerun of the drama, but the storyline is new, weird and interesting. The FL character is shown strong and very likeable. Seen this drama way long back on another channel on youtube. So synopsis is only for the non Chinese speakers/ viewers who did not follow the storyline other can disregard this and watch the drama. Synopsis: ML is heir from the Gu business clan which is rich and powerful and he is in love withe the illegitimate daughter (2FL)of the Nie family but she does not love him because he has poor health and was not likely to survive. The FL is the legitimate daughter of the Nie family but is having a bad time because her mother is dead and the mistress has occupied the place along with her daughter(2FL). She is forced to spend the night with the ML when he is having one of his health episode and he thinks that he had sex with the 2FL whom he loves. FL lead gives birth to a child and one day she overhears the plans of her fiancee who is actually 2FL's lover of taking over the Nie family business by gaining shares from getting married to FL. Realising their cover blown, he chases the FL and hits her with the car and escapes. The child is sent to Gu family and the FL is presumed dead. She comes back after 5 years of building a successful business empire with her identity a mystery to the outsiders. Her MO is to get back her child and take revenge for her mother's death. She returns to her father's home to see 2FL adamantly refusing to get married to ML. The FL agrees to get married in order to develop a bond with her son who is kept by the Gu family. Initially she faces immense reluctance to acknowledge her as the wife of the heir by the ML, Mother in law and the Uncle. Slowly she makes inroads and wins their heart but not the Uncle. The biggest problem she faces is the ML who is madly in love with 2FL and does not accept the FL as his wife. She uses reverse psychology on him to gain his trust. She tells him what he wants to hear and thinks that it is the truth that she married him for money, status and power. She promises to cure him of his headaches and in the process finds out that he is being poisoned by the family doctor under the instructions of ML's uncle. Meanwhile she comes across her son is under utter neglect and bullied by adults and kids at school and is a recluse who does not want to talk to anybody. She lowly gains his trust by pretending to be his stepmother(does not reveal that she is his real mother for the fear of rejection by him for abandoning him when he was a baby and also not to confuse him because he is been told the 2FL is his mother.) and protecting him from other bullies and caring for him personally like a real mother(which she is). She brings him out his shell and he shines as a genius. She lets the ML believe that the 2FL is the child's mother because the ML is fixated over the fact that 2FL spend the night with him. The FL wanted to show him the true face of 2FL and let him come to a conclusion that the 2FL is not a good person at all. At the same time she knew how fragile his mind was at that time and the family situation where Uncle was ready to pounce at any given opportunity to usurp him as a heir of the business clan. In the end ML realises the woman whom he imagined to be in love with was actually the FL and even shows her the charcoal portrait which was drawn using his imagination 5 years back( which he had forgotten about due to constant headaches)and it resembled the FL. Rest follows is the family of three united, the ML fully recovered and the Uncle and doctor punished for their crimes

Thanks for this. I find it confusing as the subtitles are not quite right. A bit nonsensical at times. Slightly different script, scenario than the usual which makes a change.

This is by far the best in the many versions of similar story, FL is stronger in character , there is much less villains unnecessary crossfires and bitch round-table. By this alone I give it a thum-up.

The FL is a tough lady to the point she stay mums for all her action towards her son even if she's misundestood often and she's too proud to depend on others for her revenge

Not a love story y'all. This is FL driven and the ML is a supporting character 😅. It's a cool drama to waste time, keep your expectations low...on to the next!!!

Although I enjoy the work of the actor who portrays the ML I do have to agree with a few of the comment(s) that I’ve seen and that is, there is no chemistry between the FL and ML; the interactions between the two is more like a transaction, they are both getting something out of it, FL goes her way and the ML goes his and that’s about it. ML is cold to the FL so there wasn’t even any “romantic” aspects, like nothing that says this is a relationship that is slowly building, I mean, I honestly don’t know how they fell in “love” and end up together cause as I said nothing really gave way that a relationship was even going on between them so it came out of nowhere during the last few seconds of the drama. Still good drama to watch
