What Governor Whitmer didn’t mention is that decades of Republican control created the statewide problem of impassable roads, created the Flint lead leaching among other problems that should have been budgeted for maintenance. Thank you Governor for truly addressing what is needed for our State and not focusing on what looks glamorous for yourself.

@@PremierCCGuyMMXVI they're higher than they used to be, but still muuuuch more affordable than the East Coast! Especially if you're not in 'burbs around Detroit. Snow varies a lot depending on where you are. The west side of the state, the Upper Peninsula, and the the northern part of the Lower Peninsial get the most. (Esp the UP!) The rest of the state isn't too bad but I'm a lifelong Michigander so I might be biased!
So great to see our fantastic governor getting some of the recognition she deserves.

I would be a proud michigander if the first female president was a Michigan politician! I think she'd lock it up, moderate enough to not scare the non-maga republicans, so they can either feel comfortable staying home or vote for her, she's female, which helps across the country with women, and she's from THE rust belt state. Think the people especially women who are having even more rights taken away from them feel better? Do you think the people who live in areas of California who are dealing with wildfires and mudslides destroying their lives and state causing insurance companies to no longer ensure their homes any longer? The same problem is in Florida as well because of the massive amount of destruction caused by the hurricanes? Imagine if you could no longer have coverage for your home and it got completely destroyed by say as an example a tornado or fire and you have no insurance to pay for it to be replaced??? What you going to do then?? Do I think Michigan is perfect absolutely not, but I just know that there’s other states that seem to have more issues than the state of Michigan does at this time! So I definitely feel lucky to live here in Michigan!

It’s important to remember that most people still vote for who’s at the top of the ticket. Keeping Biden on the top of the Dem tickets gives the best opportunity for the trump administration to enact mission 2025. So I agree with you, and you should support Biden to step down.

Fellow Michigander here. I voted for Whitmer twice. I couldn't be happier. She kept her promise. She fixed the highways and the roads even in my neighborhood. I got a new road! Hasn't been touched in 20 years. People were mad about the roads. Now we do, we have new roads. Thank you Whitmer. The right doesn't like her because she made them accountable for their firearms if they are not locked up. Which is common sense 🤔. Thank you Whitmer, you will be missed...

She's done wonders for the state. Invested in tourism, got a lot of development going, got several billion in manufacturing to come back to the state, revitalizing some of our greatest parks (other than Sleeping Bear Dunes, which is THE chi-town tourist trap) and just generally been a respectable person while in office, who we don't have to worry about like Snyder who poisoned Flint.

Go Gretchen! As a Michigan voter, living abroad, I keep in touch with Michigan politics and Whitmer is doing a great job. She’s intelligent, personable, and clued in to people’s needs. Competent governor who could certainly go higher in politics.

It's not that people don't want Biden, it's that the Biden most of us signed up for seems to be gone or rapidly diminishing. If you don't see it the same way, that's fine. It also doesn't really matter what we think, the perception has changed and the toothpaste cannot be put in the tube. Harris (or someone else new) would energize the party and pull in independents or moderates who are worried about Biden. The president has said he will feel ok if he loses because he gave it his all -- but I don't think that's good enough.

They didn't vote for sh$%....the primary was rigged. The media silenced all the other candidates and kept others off the ballot. And Biden refused to debate anyone.....Trump also refused also but at least on the conservative side they gave other candidates a shot.

I understand your concern.You're angry at the media for the moment because it isn't making it easy for Democrats in the way they always have - such as like not asking Democrats hard questions, not reporting on issues, events, disinformation, and government behavior that might make them look incompetent - or even worse, much worse. But don't worry, everything will be righted soon. The public finding out the media helped to hide Biden's mental decline has hurt its journalistic reputation even further. So with this egg on their face, they've gotten tough on this issue. But once Biden steps down they'll become themselves again, falling back into line, working to be as supportive to the Dems & their agenda as they possibly can.

If Trump doesn't win 2024, or IF he doesn't do away with elections all together, then yes absolutely, I've been saying this for a few years now.... 2028 is shaping up to be an amazing event. A duel primary cycle. Both Parties in full primary mode, plenty of marquis candidates for the Dems. The R primary will likely be loaded with magats or former magats. Best way to get to a 2028 election like that is to stick with Joe right now. Bluevember, Blue Wave.
