The red dragon armor looking kaiju on the kaiju bird looks so badass and menacing! 10/10 design.

At the end of this episode, I did not expect to see a new talking/humanoid kaiju threat other than kaiju no. 9, so I guess the heroes get no break in the fighting even though kaiju no. 9 seems to need to hide and recover for a while longer.

Kafka keeps discovering new abilities he has, like the last episode where he was roaring loud enough to create a shield against Kaiju no. 9's finger-bullets. I'm wondering how many abilities he has, and if they are the same abilities as Kaiju No. 9 or different ones? Since we have already seen Kaiju No. 9 survive beheading, it is possible that Kafka might also be able to survive beheading? Although, if Hoshina did behead him, it would probably be too hard to continue fighting back while headless and would probably lead to his death quickly after beheading anyway. We saw Kafka lose a limb this episode without losing a limb in his human form, I guess he learned how to regenerate this episode? Did he grow a new one or collect it and put it back on? If he left a limb on the battlefield, that could end up exposing him if they analyze it.

Yeah I'm curious about Kafka's abilities so it's interesting discovering them alongside him as the story progresses. In terms of regeneration, we saw him regenerate body parts this episode so thats already confirmed that they just grow back

Excluding the little girl who's mother & her were saved by Kafka, no one else has reported about his nature (Shinomiya & Iharu). So my guess is once they find out, everyone who's witnessed him in Kaiju form will speak on his behalf.

The guy with the pink hair was talking about how Kaiju No. 8 saved him to friends, so I'm sure there has also been some kind of official debriefing off-screen. Or maybe that will be shown in the next episode? Mina said something about a discussion meeting she had to attend, and that's why Kafka had to finish filling out the paperwork for his promotion with Hoshina.

I am getting more of daddy vibes between Kafka and Shinomiya. She does not have a real Dad and the one that praises her and puts up with her crap is Kafka. So she is becoming attached to him as a father figure and some of her attitude is changing around him.

@@OtakuMai It is interesting that Shinomiya gets so flustered when he praises her though. Maybe she has a thing for the right daddy? 🤣But I just get more fatherly vibes from how Kafka treats her. It is like Kafka recognized what Shinomiya lacked and instinctively provided it for her; with Shinomiya reacting to that without realizing what her true feelings are about it.
